4 star hotel? More like 1 star hotel! It starts off on the first morning breakfast that we paid for in advance through Booking.com. The front desk staff claims that we do not show that we prepaid for the breakfast ($20 per person, we paid for two) I had to get the manager (Cynthia) involved.. ended up having to spend nearly an hour to email her the proof, which the first email, wasn’t to her protocol. I had to get Booking .com involved. Finally that issue was resolved. However, the next morning, breakfast was not available due to the Cook/Chef was not there and no other staff stepped up and prepared it. (Breakfast is stated on the property/restaurant and on their website 6am-10am) we went down for breakfast at 7:30am. Again, I had to spend an hour trying to get this inconvenience noted through Booking.com because again the front desk staff and manager was not gonna go the extra mile to willingly resolve it nor credit our account for a no breakfast. Ok, the next morning and our checkout day, breakfast was available, however we were charged additional $8.00 on our breakfast for cheese to be added to our breakfast. Our total experience was stressful and quite negative. The staff is unprofessional, unconcerned and lack of respect and tracing of customer service. I will be disputing the charges once the charge has posted for the prepaid breakfast that we did not receive not at our fault. It’s simply down to the principal. Be weary of purchasing the breakfast package in advance.

Location to Beale is great. Valet was great.
This is not my first stay at this Westin but it will be my last. Over the past several years this property has went downhill in the following areas: customer service and condition of anemities.
After check in I notice hold on my CC for $300 more than the quoted price on booking. After going to the front desk to inquire I found out about a $200 hold placed on all reservations. But they couldn't explain the other $100. A manager named Val was asked to assist me. Val immediately told me I chose to pay at the property through booking and because I chose this option Westin didn't have my CC information and therefore I was charged more. After explaining that's not how it works on booking that it's a guaranteed price she proceeded to repeat herself over and over. Our conversation lasted about 10 minutes and I could tell I was getting nowhere with her as she was just set on blaming me for this and was more into being right than really helping me so I said ok... so ur telling me I am out of luck? To that she said..no I can call booking. OK?. Then do that! The next day I went to the front desk to see if there was an update. The worker presented me with a note from Val stating because I chose to pay at the property the higher quoted price was correct. Not so sure this Val girl did anything to help me. I called booking who stated the price was guaranteed and they would reimburse any extra charges. What a frustration to deal with while on vacation!
Only 1 elevator working on one of the busiest weekends of the year (beale street music festival) the call button to the first floor was also out so you had to take the stairs to the second floor to call the 1 working elevator.
Beds felt wore out. You can feel the indents where people sleep.
They provide a minifridge but only on request. I requested mine twice before arrival and was told both times the request was noted... still had to ask for it on arrival.

The location was nice and the room had a great view. I liked the bathroom layout. The water had good pressure.
One of the elevators was broken which caused a lot of long waits to use the elevator. I also would have preferred a refrigerator to the minibar. The description made it seem like breakfast was included in the stay. Breakfast was for sale which is not the same as “breakfast included” as described.

Room and location
Only 1 elevator worked. We had to wait 5 to 7 minutes before it arrived and then 10 to 12 people would be in it.

We loved the location, it was right across from the FedEx Forum Stadium. This made it very convenient once the game was over and we just had to walk across the street.
Where to start here...First of all, we had a great reservation at the Peabody Hotel right down the streets and decided to change the morning of check-in due to the location being so close to the game that we were going to. We paid more money for what was supposed to be a Deluxe room for 4 people. We called that morning and verified that they would have a rollaway bed for us for our oldest son. They said yes, so we finished the reservation. We get there and they only have the smallest room available with one King bed for 4 people. No roll-away beds. One of our kids slept on the floor and the other in the bath tub... Only one elevator working for the entire Hotel. We ended up having to walk up stairs to the 9th floor to get to our room. After paying over $700+ you would expect a better room, and a better experience. Overall the experience was not good... Stay at the Peabody folks, they know how to deliver a great experience.
