We had a lovely time in Ellicottville but we were very disappointed with the staff at the hotel

The property was in a great location.

The staff was not friendly, we had asked for early check in, when we arrived the young girl at the desk told us to come back in an hour. We went back in and hour and another older woman told it would not be ready until 3. The hotel was not sold out actually it was pretty empty. The second woman was not friendly at all. Was we got our room there was used dental floss on the bathroom floor.

Overall a nice place to stay.

Clean, quiet, good location. Nice breakfast buffet.

A bit pricey. Don’t make up room and bring fresh towels and replenish toiletries daily.

Ok but the smoke smell

Desperately needed a place to stay, Wingate only place with vacancies.

Had to take a smoking room. I cannot believe in this day and age that hotels still allow smoking inside room

Th breakfast was OK. Nothing more than other hotels I've stayed at over the past several years.

There was fruit that was obviously going bad on the breakfast bar. I was quite surprised that the hotel would put out rotting fruit!

Charged $75 for pet.

"Pet friendly / charges may apply" usually means a deposit for our 30 lb, well behaved, dog. But in this case we were charged $75 *after* our cancellation period expired, on the night of our arrival. The weather was bad, the hour late, and we were in no position to find another hotel.

Location, comfie spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, nice blackout curtains, quiet, indoor pool, good breakfast, nice workout equipment,and pretty foyer lounge. Decorated nicely for Christmas.

Check in woman was not very pleasant or helpful. Asked if we could check in early or leave our belongings. She said no and stated, "Where do you think you could put your luggage next to my feet?" My husband and son commented that she must hate her job or life, so we tried to shower her with kindness. Too bad that is your first impression of the hotel.

I would not pay $250 for a night at that hotel again!

it’s in walking distance of the shops in the area.

outdated, wallpaper is pealing on the hotel room, many doors were broken on the third floor, very hot and stuffy in the halls, entirely too much money for the facility.

Breakfast was fine.

No cleaning services. The TV was awful. The smallest one I have ever seen in any hotel.
