Dishonest hotel charges. BEWARE!

Comfortable bed

I had booked a room that included breakfast. I confirmed this with staff at both check in and again at check out. The next day I noticed the hotel had debited my credit card for breakfast! When I emailed to complain, they fibbed me off and told me it was their policy to give a $30 credit toward breakfast. I forwarded them copies of my booking confirmation clearly showing the rate included breakfast (with no mention of a $30 credit only). They have steadfastly ignored my email and refuse to refund me. Beware when you book this hotel!!!

I had a nice overnight stay at Kimpton! I'd definitely stay again.

Location, parking, both great! I got a little confused because I didn't realize it was valet-only parking. The location was very central and super walkable. The room was clean and quiet.

I did not like that there was not a coffee-maker in the room. That was disappointing. I did not want to order coffee from the hotel cafe, getting dressed before getting coffee is not my thing.

Overpriced. Beggars can’t be choosers. Staff was friendly and helpful and the best bit.

Location close to convention center was convenient but the area is really dirty and sketchy

Great place to stay and play! Great beds.

Monaco has always been a solid choice for me the last 20 years. The updates are very nice.

parking downtown is always a pain, not there fault. I'm way to cheap to valet so that's a me problem.

Exceptional

We parked in the lot behind the hotel and it was around $25 for two nights. Very reasonable. The room had darkening shades so we could sleep in late. Coffee/Tea was available till 10 or 10:30. Location was in the middle of downtown so we could walk or uber. We usually wat in your restaurant but not this time, although it is a very good restaurant and has great service.

the tub in the spa room. the location. the lobby.

no coffee in the room unless you ask. who knew. no room service unless you ask. the detergent either smells or is too week to actually clean the sheets, which smelled. the bed is way too firm. the sheets aren’t comfortable. asked front desk to deliver more water and nespresso cups for last morning was futile.

Exceptional

Staff was great! Clean spacious room. Wonderful restaurant inside hotel. Great location, within walking distance to everything. Checking in and out was super quick and easy.

We did not find one thing to complain about during our stay. Everything was excellent.

A nice visit. Liked the text option to communicate with the front desk

The room was very pretty. I wanted to try a kimpton for awhile and when I had a terrible Airbnb experience that was my opportunity. It was a nice stay and right in downtown Denver.

I wish there had been room service. I am concerned about the hotel as a whole. They went to the effort to make the bathrooms beautiful, BUT the shower flooded EVERY TIME we used it AND the WALLPAPER in the BATHROOM was peeling off. Sad because it seemed so new and not standing up to the efforts or money put in.

good hotel, great staff & restaurant, ok neighborhood

large rooms, nice lobby, friendly staff, the restaurant was very good…I had lunch there twice.

maybe it was due to COVID, but all they supplied was water in the rooms…no tea no coffee. I remember kimpton hotels always had good treats in the rooms. the neighborhood around the convention center is just ok. Lots of homeless people asking for money. the 16th st mall has a few good restaurants.

Disappointed in the attached Italian restaurant.

The hotel was fine and what I expected from a Hotel Monaco, I was disappointed with the restaurant.

The Italian Restaurant connected to the hotel was a major disappointment as they apparently think it's 2020 and vaccines hadn't yet been invented. The only part of the Restaurant that was open was the bar, and their menu was limited at best. It included salads and pizza. When I asked if I could order a Margherita Pizza with toppings, I was told the only onions they had were pickled and their only olives still had pits. I finished my beer and left.
