Central location
Value food available 24/7
No TV or phones in the rooms
Focus on rustic style living
Dated, malodourous carpets and dirty wall, dirty tables in the kitchen, decor needs a bit updating whilst keeping in keeping with the rustic concept

Food and staff were great
Seems like it could use a little TLC

Rugged but nice.

Loved the staff especially John! He made our stay eventful and fun staying at the lodge! Super friendly which made us more comfortable staying here!
Food options could be a little better.
4.0 / 5.0
forest view, breakfast, good location, big cottage
1. the description says that this cabin has kitchen. in reality there is no kitchen top stove. so anyway you can only reheat food with microwave, not boil or fry something. but 24/7 access to snacks and tea/coffee solved the problem.
2. not comfortable king mattress ( like hammock)
3. if you have a lot of food with you- the fridge is too small

The cleanliness of the rooms and facilities were very low in standards. Staff are a strength for the lodge and made us feel welcome.

Nice accommodations, super comfy bed, and all food included! The food was good, especially for being included. We had so much fun here and would recommend this place to anyone!
A little far from certain Sequoia/Kings Canyon NP hikes (45min-1hr) drive but it’s just a big spread out park so there’s not much you can do about that!

Location is ok.
The room we stay has no AC, and the staff did not mention when we checked in until we asked…the price for one night stay is too expensive.

The setting is beautiful and the facility mostly very nice, except that a lot of the stair handrails are loose and unsafe. Food was plentiful and reasonably good. Very good quality towels. Microwave and refrigerator in room (but no Kleenex).
When I booked I asked for a ground floor. Soon after I received an email saying my request had been honored. When I arrived I had been assigned an upstairs room. The clerk said no downstairs rooms were available. With great difficulty, I carried my luggage and my 82-year old body up narrow, unsafe stairs with a loose handrail. Then a staff person came and said there was a ground floor room I could have, for $10 more. They provided someone to carry my luggage down, but of course, I was already worn out from carrying it up. They acted like they were doing me a favor by charging me $10 for what I had asked for in the first place.

All meals were included, the location was great with wonderful views. The staff was accommodating and we were able to make sandwiches, etc. to take with us for lunch around the park. If felt like summer camp and we really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.
There were a few minor restrictions due to Covid but completely understandable.

Location
The staff we meet were all pleasant but the under pressure housekeeping couldn’t give us our room until 6:45
Yes we got a discount and yes we got a free drink but some times you just want it right
Interesting they had a stack of ready made tokens to give guests a free drink in lieu of problems encountered not actually a great sign IMHO

Its a good location - but everything else to do with this experience was very poor.
Rooms were very small and not clean. The smell from the terrible kitchen was everywhere. The staff did not care when we complained.

The location is perfect since the lodge is on Generals Highway and is close to Kings Canyons Highway. Having 3 meals daily included in the room rate is an added star. Especially the dining options are no where nearby. The food is not fancy but very good.
Since the lodge has been around for a while, it does show its age with the expected wear and tear. There is construction on site to turn it from a winter to a summer place.

Property was well kept/clean, beautiful view of the mountains from the hotel balcony. It was great that breakfast and dinner were provided (and also delicious). They had a live band one night & it was nice they had a little bar area you could buy beverages from at very reasonable prices. We didn’t have any trouble finding the hotel even with accessing it late at night (used GPS and made sure directions aligned with hotels directions online). We would definitely stay again a new recommend!
Room was a little tight but we were really only in it to sleep and shower so didn’t matter much.

Location was great, off the main highway a bit, tucked in the forest beside a small lake. The lodge, surrounding cabins, pool & dining hall were very cozy, reminiscent of the vintage family camps. In fact, this camp has a history. The dining room was large with tables distanced apart, a snack bar, & all meals included in the cost . Covid restrictions were in place, sanitizer on tables & everyone wearing masks. Dinner was Buffet style with carry out containers provided to carry food back to our rooms or outside, if not in the dining room. Menu had 2 salads, homemade bread, chicken or beef, rice & sweet fresh carrots ( my choice as a vegetarian) & several desserts, as well as a variety of drink to pour from machines which was convenient. After dinner, there was optional Smores making at a campfire, which was really warm & fun. Not fancy rooms, no double beds, a king & bunkbeds in ours, basic but clean, no tv in room, but big screen in lodge, with a large fireplace, book nook, & games for kids. WI Fi was better than in the NP lodges. Very nice, relaxing retreat, very welcoming & different from sterile hotels
Rooms could be a bit updated, popcorn ceilings were dirty, & could use coat of paint.

Immersa nella natura, è un lodge stupendo

All meals were greater than I expected. I was satisfied with them.
When I got at the front desk, nobody was there. I waited for about 30-35mins, but they didn't say to me 'sorry.'
