Weather was great.

Good Weather, nice friendly staff

We thought we had booked a balcony room, (as the room had a door to open and NO where to set down and enjoy the sights. The room next to us would of been great, and I know they used their balcony a lot. We just looked out the window, since there wasn't any chairs or table.

Affordable with a good location for downtown Waikiki

Excellent location in downtown Waikiki for a very affordable rate. The hotel is directly across the street from the large open air international mall. We also loved the Mediterranean restaurant in the hotel. It was exceptional!

The room needed more storage space for clothes and better sound proofing. We ended up on the fourth floor directly above the swimming pool. This hotel has lots of school groups come through because of the price. The pool area was very loud until late at night both evenings with teenagers. We could also hear kids running through the halls.

Staff, location!

Close to shops and restaurants, and a short walk to the beach. The room was clean, great water pressure in bathrooms, and hot water available all day. Awesome also having a convenience store and restaurant/bar located off the hotel lobby on the ground floor. Great staff!

The bedside table didn't have charging outlets.

It was memorable

I liked that you provided a map showing the streets, local shops and other interests. You provide towels for the beach.

Some hotels provide a free breakfast, that would have been a nice feature.

Our first night we went to turn down the couch bed. Once we pulled it out, there was a bug inside the bed. We called the staff downstairs and spoke with the manager Andria. When I spoke with her, she said that she was going to comp for the first night. When we went to check out the person at the front desk, I don’t remember his name was insinuating that we were lying because there was no notes left in the computer. No notes left about any of this Andria then called the next day saying that she was off for two days and that she did not leave a internal notes, but she had her own personal note which I feel that she was lying because now the man said that there was no notes, but all of a sudden she has notes you guys dropped the ball because we were not given what we were promised and then we asked to change rooms and They said that there was no space available so now instead of being able to sleep on the sofa bed we were sleeping on the floor, we were not giving any other accommodations. Nobody ever reached out to contact us to see what else can be done. This is not how to run a business you need to train your managers about, leaving notes and sharing details with the next manager on on duty.

Beautiful island but hotel not great

It had a pool beach 10mins away

If you book tours with the hotel you get a discount but then you must attend a conference in another hilton hotel which leads to a meeting with a member of the hilton staff in relation to timeshare holidays it lasts about 3 hrs time consuming but you $175 dollars to spend if i had a choice I wouldn’t do it again Hilton Staff very pushy not be staying in one their hotels again.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a good location.

We booked this room at the last minute as we had booked elsewhere and checked in there to find the room to be dirty. Hilton Garden Inn was able to accommodate us within an hour, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, the room was VERY clean, the bed was really comfortable. We didn't have a view, as it was a last minute booking, but we didn't mind at all, as we were only really in the room to sleep and shower. The location was great, opposite the International Marketplace, and walking distance to most of the Waikiki area. We actually only used our car when we were going outside of Honolulu.

Unfortunately, like most hotels in the area, car parking was expensive as it was valet only, but it is what it is. We were very happy with the room for our 3 day stay, and would happily stay again if it was a short trip. Rooms aren't huge, so it wouldn't be ideal for a long stay.

Great property in a convenient location

Rooms are a good size. Location is good. Very handy to the International Market Place and the beach.

We were not happy that the property’s intended approach for holding funds on a credit card (the full amount for the stay, plus an additional $100/night for possible extras) was not explained clearly to us. We expected to pay (using a different card) upfront, but this did not happen. To their credit, the manager agreed to correct the misunderstanding in the best way he could. Ideally, staff should be aware that people checking in can sometimes be very tired and jet lagged and might not fully understand what they are being told is going to happen. People should also be given the option to pay in advance (which is what we expected).

habitacion inapropiada para vajar con familia No hay privacidad para higienizarse y/o cambiarse la ropa. Los artefactos no funcionaban (Silla Rota, Cafetera Rota, inodoro sin tapa) Velador con luces quemadas Poca iluminacion. En el escritorio no se veia. Restaurant sin opcion Gluten Free como solicitaomos en la reserva

I was there for business. For pleasure, get something closer to the beach.

Plenty of restaurants and stores attached or nearby. Good housekeeping crew. Speedy elevators. Room was well-appointed with baby fridge, microwave, TV.

Street noise was a cacophony. A long walk (15 minutes) from the iconic beach. My booking said “partial ocean view”, and that’s exactly what I got. A tiny sliver of blue peeking between 2 skyscrapers.

Reception staff FAKE friendly. Anything you asked didn't got what you wanted, or maybe didn't want help. Because to much trouble, example just says am sorry 😞

Amazing location

The location was very central and within walking distance to great shopping, food and attractions but most importantly the beach. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff for most part were very friendly. The hotel helped us arrange our activities which was amazing.

Not enough space in the lobby upon arrival. Despite requesting an early check-in in advance there was unfortunately no rooms available which is fine as its subject to availability, however there wasn't even anywhere to sit down and wait in the lobby. The receptionist at the time was not overly friendly or helpful in this matter, however a few hours later we spoke to another lady who was fabulous and helped us immediately. The beds were not overly supportive for my mother who has back issues but were still comfortable.

Solid choice with competitive price for Waikiki Beach

Honest hotel at a great location in Waikiki beach (5 min walking). Staff were all very good. Lots of stores, and restaurants at a walking distance. Wifi was also good. Free towels available for the pool and to take to the beach were great! There's also convenience store at the first floor. We got the partial ocean view apartment and it has a nice balcony/view!

Being woken by the (false) emergency alarm that fired at 2 AM through the whole hotel. Parking is kind of pricey but that's the reality in Waikiki Beach, and though it has valet, I guess the cars were parked kind of far because some times it would take a little bit to get them ready.

My Honolulu Experience

The proximity to shopping, beach and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful.

Was not too impressed with breakfast at the Fire and Grill on the property. For the price, I expected a little bit more from the self service station. For example, when told to help yourself to fruit, I expected to see several fruit but there were only bananas that were already bruised. Did not eat dinner or lunch there.

Location was excellent. Staff really helpful and pleasant. Room kept very clean and well stocked. Liked having a balcony.
