I never got a room something didn’t go through. Then because it was late the desk clerk said it was too late to get a room. So I slept in my car

One of the two good things about this stay was the professionalism of the front desk clerk. When I had complaints she resolved them immediately. I would hire her for my own company. The only other quality aspect to this stay is that the hotel is conveniently located to the attractions of Dayton, OH.

On Thursday night I checked in and when I entered the room I noticed a state of uncleanliness. I was tired and was just going to let it slide. I wasn't staying there for luxury. Then late Thursday, I noticed a tiny red bug with a flat abdomen crawling on my pants. I dislodged it and flushed down the toilet. I scanned the bedroom and looked over the mattress but didn't see anymore. On Friday morning, I awoke with no bites but I did notice more stains than just the one I noticed Thursday night. By this time I had decided I wanted to speak to the manager about the general state of the room. However, with the Holiday, New Years, I knew it would have to wait. Come Saturday morning, I awoke to serval bites on my body. There are three on my calf, three on my thigh, and three on my lower back. These bites are extremely itchy and required me to spend most of my Saturday morning doing laundry. I informed the front desk of the situation, and the attendant took great care of me. Moved me to a different room, and sympathized. She then informed me that she would let the manager know what is happening. I was very thankful for her professionalism. Fast forward to after the Holiday, I reached out to the manager to make an official complaint. The first time I called, no answer. I then sent an email on 1/2/23, and there was no response. I called the next day, no answer. I waited a day to see if the manager would respond to my email, and nothing. I called back and finally reached someone, who took a message and said she would pass it on. I forwarded the email again. Two das later I receive a message that they would refund me one night instead of the two I asked for. This was on 1/6/23. As of 1/14/23, I still haven't received my refund. I reached out to the corporate office of Red Roof Inn and opened a case. I am waiting to see what type of response they will give me. Here's to hoping this is resolved soon.
