Fair Stay

They have a GREAT cleaning staff who will assist where they can although there hands may be tied with some requests. I imagine the owners just may not know everything about running a hotel and if taught could learn so much more.

Rooms that have been unoccupied become dusty and this is something that I dont think the owners completely understand. Several times I have had issues with dusty rooms while staying at Value Lodge and have conveyed that to the staff who promptly allows me to move without question. There needs to be more attention given to cleaning rooms that have been sitting idle for a while and purchasing new towels. The towels are old and cardboard hard for no reason, new towels can be purchased on Amazon for fairly cheap and will allow for a better experience. I am leaving this review to give insight to some of the challenges with staying here but its not a bad place to stay, just could use a little bit more personalized attention to the guests.

Good value and comfortable.

Spacious clean room. Friendly and accommodating host. Safe and quiet area.

25 min walk to restaurants and grocery stores. The water can only get lukewarm.

Utilitarian

Area was quiet and I felt safe and secure.

Hot water was tepid. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. This is not a luxurious motel. Room was utilitarian. Good for an overnight stop but that's about it.

The Inn meet my needs.

A little upset with booking.com on my reservation. The hotel was not notified and I had to provide them with the information and they had to verify through some other source.

It was one of the nicer motels I have stayed at!

Gave a suggestion to have a smaller reading light to read by. Lights were really bright!

Cheap motel meets expectations.

Quiet, A/C worked in a heat wave, when my home A/C broke. Refrigerator, ice machine, shower all worked. I'm grateful that I was able to be comfortable in the May heat waves. Smoking rooms! Yay.

A bit more cheerfulness at the front desk would have helped the depressing situation I was in. Smile, you guys.

I felt bed bugs crowding on me so stayed up most of the night . all other motels were booked so didn’t have a choice but

Cheap motel met expectations.

Cheap motel in the desert, in a heat wave, late May: Ice machine worked. A/C worked. Shower worked. Also: Mini-fridge/microwave/coffee pot worked. Bed worked. Washer/dryer worked ($2.00 each machine, in quarters). I liked the coffee (I suspect I'm in a weird minority on that one). The wireless "wi-fi" worked better than expected: I was in a far room from the office, and I could pick up enough signal to get adequate speed.

Housekeeping kept letting the flies in (it's Alpine, there will be flies).
