Nice fall weekend spent in the heart of Cooperstown

Charming inn with quiet rooms and comfortable public areas. Convenient to downtown Cooperstown.

We wish the breakfast served had a little bit more food.

Pleasant

Location, delicious breakfast, quiet.

Climbing the narrow steps to the attic suite (red room) was terrible. The riser steps were way beyond the state code (above 8") That is not the room for 2 seniors. We were not told beforehand that we would be in a remodeled attic room. The room did not meet state code (7'6") for ceiling heights. The window did not meet code for 8% light. In case of fire, I feared we would be trapped. This room should not be used for habitability .

Fabulous Inn!

Very cute Inn! Lovely hosts, very good breakfast with locally sourced food, and fantastic location! Quick walk to Main Street, Doubleday Field, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Would absolutely stay again!

Charming place

completely adorable, great location! The breakfast was charming and fresh. We loved all the little touches and the ANTIQUES! Very close to all attractions.

HISTORIC WHITE HOUSE INN IS A GREAT, CENTRAL PLACE TO STAY WITH FRIENDLY STAFF & AFFORDABLE RATES!

BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AS WELL AS THE CENTRAL COOPERSTOWN LOCATION. THE HIGHLY EFFICIENT STAFF GAVE FRIENDLY SERVICE AND KIND ASSISTANCE FOR SPECIAL TRAVEL REQUESTS.

Quaint historic safe area but would love to see some upgrades in the inn.

Breakfast was great and staff was very attentive

Rooms definitely need some updates, were very old and worn. The heat was horribly hot. Bed was not comfortable at all . Quilt was very well worn with tears in it. Also could hear people in the next room .

This is a pleasant and well located establishment.

White House Inn in Cooperstown Is Exceptional!

This place is right in town very, close to everything. There's lots of choices for B&B but the staff and owner Ed makes the difference at The White House Inn. I walked at least 4 miles a day and it was very close to the famous river too. Services were exceptional. Breakfast was made fresh daily with lots of variety. My grandson is highly allergic, but they gladly opened the kitchen for me at any time. They were very concerned about allergies and offered adjustment when necessary. However, I had prepared all meals ahead. They offered the freezer, fridge and anything else to prepare my grandson's food as needed.

Comfortable and a great location.

Location was excellent. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but one evening shift person did not even acknowledge our presence. Breakfast was good.

We were unaware that we had one night in one room and our second night in another room.

Great location and breakfast. Needs a little TLC.

We loved the proximity to the main avenue and restaurants. We walked every morning. We loved the breakfast and enjoyed the lovely staff. This place could be quite charming if cleaned up a bit.

We did not care for the cobwebs all around the ceiling and spiders in our room. There was a odor in the bathroom and bedroom which was stale and musty. The porch outside the bedroom could be charming, but was dirty. Could be power washed. After 9 p.m. when we returned to our room, we were greeted by a guest in the room adjacent who told that there would be two people sleeping in the common area on the love seats. No staff advised us of this. It invaded our privacy as the new guests arrived late and were not quiet, waking us up. The next morning they woke us up at 6:10 a.m., talking loudly. We expressed our concerns to the night manager the night we learned of this arrangement and were informed to let the morning staff know about it when we checked out. We were given the night free, which was very nice, but this should never have happened, and someone on the staff should have been the one to ask us if we had any concerns before allowing it. The cost of our room was almost $300/night.

Location was excellent — within walking distance of shops,restaurants and hall of fame.

Breakfast was very good except for the bacon. It was thin and had a very unusual taste.

Charmed

Clean and comfortable facility with a lot of charm. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location is convenient to the baseball hall of fame, to downtown shops and restaurants, all are in easy walking distance.

The is only one thing that is not ideal, being an old home the sound carries well.

John was an excellent host. The hotel was ten minute walk to the Baseball Hall of Fame. My husband enjoyed his visit to Cooperstown.
