Great communication & a comfortable room in secure area.

Host had excellent communication, check in was a breeze,we were even able to check in early . The breakfast was simple but good, bacon, eggs, fruit, toast, coffee & juice the host even put a nice little breakfast together for us the day before for our early morning commute to Universal, which is only 15-20 min away in light traffic. Fridge & cabinets were stocked with a few provisions which was nice. Bed was super comfy & futon folded out to provide a bed for our 15 yr old. We didn't get any pool / patio time in because temps were chilly but was a cute little area.

A little too bright in room, if you want to sleep in or lights from gfci outlets bother you take that into consideration.

Nice accommodation in nice residential neighborhood.

The host was friendly, helpful, accommodating and made us feel welcomed. The room was nicely decorated, bed comfortable. Had a loveseat, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster-oven. Lots of snacks and a generous breakfast offering. Nice backyard area that was accessible by the guests. Loved the location in a nice residential neighborhood.

The noise from the host (the other side of the wall from our room and overhead) was noticeable. We were tired and it didn't affect our sleep, but we were surprised at how much we could hear. The pool was not heated and did not look like it had been cleaned in some time, so it wasn't really usable, and the hot tub was not functional. That was a disappointment, as we had thought we might take a dip or hot tub while there.

We had a wonderful time. The room was well appointed, with goodies and snacks in the fridge.

The breakfast was lovely. Amy was very accommodating. She asked us the evening before what time we would like to have breakfast and she would offer several choices. Everything was delicious. She even packed us a hearty breakfast to take with us for our very early flight home.

We're hard pressed to think of anything we didn't like. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Amy and Shay are lovely people. We would highly recommend staying here.

My room was comfortable and quiet.. (The bed was wonderful!!) I liked the private entrance. Amy, the host was extremely helpful and kind! The breakfast was excellent.

Location pretty and quiet. Room fairly well set up. Easy access.

Bed linens were polyester. Smooth and silky but not breathable.

Perfection. Staying at Sweet Dreams feels like staying at your favorite family member's home.

For the two weeks we stayed here, we truly felt like we were at home. Amy went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made some of the most wonderful breakfasts we've ever had. It's hard to find such care and compassion nowadays, but Amy provides it in abundance. The room itself was perfectly suited to our needs with a comfy bed, couch, fridge, and lovely bathroom. We were able to utilize the backyard space to work remotely and enjoy the sun while we worked. You're also a short walk from Ventura with a ton of groceries/restaurants/bars, so you don't even need to drive! Our experience at Sweet Dreams absolutely made our stay. We will be coming back next time we're in the area!

Comfortable and cozy.

I liked most of it. The food was good. The owners were super accommodating and nice. The room was beautiful and comfortable. They place had a good and cozy atmosphere. The pool and jacuzzi was great. Had a wonderful time and wish I could’ve stayed longer. Much better than a hotel in my opinion.

The one criticism I had was that during breakfast there would be flies around since we were outside and there was food around. Obviously this has nothing to do with the owners and the service or anything but it did make breakfast less enjoyable. They had one fly trap but it wasn’t doing much. Maybe if they move it or invested in another one it would be better. Other than that everything was great.

Just when you feel anonymous and a bit overwhelmed visiting LA, you find yourself so glad you came.

Sweet Dreams is a beautiful place, peaceful and quiet in an otherwise busy area. I’ve stayed at a dozen or more private properties in the LA area and love this place the most by far. As lovely as the decor is, the owner and manager really made us feel welcome and fed us delicious breakfasts. Paula cared for us as the owner was out of town and did a splendid job at every turn. You will love it here.

We cannot think of anything they could improve.

Great location in Sherman Oaks near where our son lives. Comfortable, well-appointed, private with separate entrance. Lovely breakfasts ( Amy is a great cook$.

A real sweet spot!

Lovely comfortable room and a warm welcome. Good homecooked breakfast. Easy access from Freeway, east to Hollywood and west to Santa Monica with free street parking.

Fabulous hosts, great room with everything we needed and very tasty breakfast, would definitely recommend staying here.

Amy and Shay were fabulous hosts, it was great to start the day having breakfast with them both, we loved staying here , we wished we could have stayed longer. The room was an ideal size, perfectly equipped and with plenty of closet space, the shower was great, plenty of hot water throughout the day. The freshly cooked breakfast was very tasty, lots of variety and plentiful. A very relaxed atmosphere, lovely pool with lots of seating options in the garden, perfect with Amy’s iced coffee and cake by the pool. Overall a perfect place to stay, we would definitely recommend Sweet Dreams.

We had to leave such a wonderful place.

Excellent stay! Will definitely consider next time around!

Staying at the Sweet Dreams was a treat!! The breakfast was excellent and tasty! The owners were very attentive, warm and friendly, created a great atmosphere for us to feel comfortable and welcome! It was wonderful in many ways especially after all covid isolation and limited travel. All the little details were thought through and we felt very fortunate to visit such a great house! ps. Parking was very easy and always available, location was perfect without traffic challenges, wifi very good!

Wonderful people in a beautiful home.

this is a beautiful home open to guests with graciousness and friendliness. breakfast cooked to order, wonderful conversations with owners.

The only problem is that I can not afford to stay here more often. I would love to make this my frequent stay place, but I can not afford to do this too often.
