Cute little place! Rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable. Right across the street from the main part of town.

On arrival, Ryder was awesome. Super nice, friendly, helpful and informative. He even offered to help take our bags upstairs. It was so peaceful. Standing outside my room at 3 in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee, you could hear the crickets. It's so quiet at night you can actually get a good night's sleep. Shops and restaurants were literally right across the street.
Only thing was the lights on wall by beds were off set and the switch to turn on was very low, difficult for me due to my back.

Love that it is located within walking distance from some great restaurants. Also only a 20 min drive from the bodega bay beaches. It is pet friendly too, which is very important to us because we love to bring our furkids along on our vacations!
The only downside is that the walls are quite thin and we had a very noisy neighbor in the room above us walking heavily back and forth late into the night.

It was clean, and spacious. The location is nice and in the middle between Sebastopol, Petaluma, and Bodega Bay.
We slept upstairs and the porch lights stay on all night. So the room looks like dusk or dawn all night. My kids didn't sleep well as they kept thinking it was morning.

Going downtown by foot was great.
Kindness of the reception.
Attention given to the decoration
No breakfast included.
The noisy sheets.
The dust under the bed and dirt in the bathroom.
The super noisy air cond.
The bright light outside all night long.

No breakfast :( we had to travel 30 minutes to Taco Bell each night. No food in the area.

Staff very nice and helpful. Room clean and comfortable, especially the bed.
There was bad construction, so the people above us woke us up at 5 a.m. with lots of noise getting ready to leave at 6 a.m. Very unfortunate. Just plywood between floors.
Pool was very unkempt with the cleaning tools just left out.

I liked that it smelled clean and fresh when we opened the door. Loved the secluded feeling while not being secluded.

walkable to all shops & restaurants, attractive room decor, comfortable bed, clean
Light on one side of bed was broken, TV not the size advertised, no soap etc in shower dispenser, a box to hold Kleenex, but no Kleenex (?), loud water downspout just outside room, thin walls.

It was walking distance from restaurants, local shops. beautiful views of nature.
The noise that would not stop above our room!!!!!
It would start @7am or 8am and it would not STOP.
I’m usually a simple sleeper and can sleep trough almost anything BUT not that…..
If you choose to stay here make sure you do NOT get room “102” I’m pretty sure it’s where they keep supplies and stuff goes in there for anything and everything.

Check-in/out smooth and quick. Room was clean. Beds were comfy and more then enough pillows and blankets.
The walls and ceiling (especially) are thin....can hear a lot of walking on top and talking (muffled) all around.

Right across the street from Howard’s Station. Food excellent .
The shower knob was loose. Hard to control temp.

The location was great. The bed was very comfortable. The lodge is in walking distance to the rest of the town. Friendly staff and many amenities!
The tub mat was ripped and partially floated in the water when I took a bath.

bed very comfortable. nice shower
it was noisy across the street, but quieted down after 10 am. I also did not like the very strong smell of Pinesol in the room. I had to leave the door wide open until I went to bed to get some of the smell out. But still lingered during the night :-(

The bed was stiff as a board, not to mention the air raid sirens at 01:30 am and 01:45

pool is great. location could not be better for downtown Occidental
was a bit worn down

Great location right downtown. Steps away from restaurants and shops. Double deluxe room was large, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was remodeled with specious, walk-in, wall to wall glass shower. There was mini fridge and microwave, and TV. There was a pool. Staff was very friendly.
There was a strong odor in the room when we arrived, it smelled like some kind of disinfectant. The AC was a little loud and the shower felt like a power wash. There was no way to lower the water pressure neither on the shower head nor on the faucet.

parking lot gets crowded

Beautiful location. Everything in walking distance. From to Sonoma state beach, beautiful beach! We are definitely coming back to stay here!
The only thing is, we were in a bottom floor room and could hear every move upstairs. We will just request a top floor next time :)

The location was great, we got to town Friday night with a farmer's market right across the street and the perfect breakfast location the next morning right across the street. The only downside was we were in a downstairs room and at 12:30 in the morning our upstairs neighbors came back to their room very drunk and VERY loud. They woke us up from a deep sleep and no one was answering the front desk phone. I had to bang on the ceiling to get them to be quieter, but they still stumbled around loudly for another 45 minutes.
The upstairs neighbors situation.

I liked the real coffee mugs and glasses. No breakfast served so we went to a good local spot. The vibe is 70’s which matches the town. The drive through the redwoods was nice and the pool has a view of the trees. The bed was comfy. Air conditioner worked fine. Real key for door very old school. Pretty paint and clean.
The pool wasn’t heated surprising for the price of the room. Only 2 towels for a double room. No coffee stirrers. Loud fan in toilet bathroom. No charging outlets by bed. No iron and ironing board in room.

Quiet. Cool. Second story
Shades could have been better to cover the widows from the light. Outside lights at night were very bright!

The lodge was walking distance to everything. We had a beautiful view of the little white church.
