About this apartment rental
Elegant four rooms in the historic center of Florence, just a few steps from Piazza della Signoria and Piazza del Duomo. In the district you can still know the true traditions of the ancient Florence, thanks to the many local shops, the craft shops and the many restaurants with Tuscan cuisine. All the centers of major tourist and cultural attractions are within walking distance from the house.
On the third floor of a tower-house in the Via Santa Elisabetta 2 (76 steps, no elevator) in the heart of the Roman and medieval Florence, this elegant apartment of 65 square meters it is on two levels. Downstairs we have the entrance, the living room, a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and terrace, overlooking the dome of the Duomo. Upstairs, the kitchen-dining room and a second bedroom.
Completely renovated in 2015, is air-conditioned (natural gas boiler + heat pump), has satellite TV, DVD player, PC with printer, scanner and photocopier, washer, dryer, dishwasher, multifunction oven, refrigerator-freezer, mocha and coffee maker, phone, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, toaster, vacuum cleaner, board games, books and tourist-guides in several languages.
To also meet the highest safety standards is equipped with a detection system and alarm for smoke, methane, carbon monoxide, and with security lighting, fire extinguisher and a Fire Stop blanket.

This property was hands down AMAZING! The property had a very welcoming feeling, like I was staying with a family member. There was a washer and dryer (although I didn't use the dryer, I used the line to dry outside). There are pots and pans to use and a good sized fridge. The apartment was in a safe neighborhood and a wonderful view of the dome. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you Silvia!

This apartment’s location is key. It’s close to everything, so you can walk anywhere. The view is amazing as well. The apartment has everything you could ever need (pots, pans, spices, washer, dryer, & more). The AC was great since we just stayed during July and it was very hot in Florence. We had an issue getting into the apartment because there seems to be a dead zone for reception right outside the building (US user), but Silva responded quickly and helped us get inside! Yes, there are quite a bit of steps to the top, but the view and location make up for it. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing apt. Can walk anywhere within mins. Would highly recommend this apt to anyone. Only negative (which wasn’t for us) is that there are stairs only to get to it. Easy walk up unless you have mobility issues.

Beautiful apartment and great location. Air conditioner worked great in the hot summer. The stairs up to the apartment were a challenge with our luggage but other than that it was a great apartment.

A beautiful, artistic and creative space. Spectacular attention to detail. I want to live here. Location is perfect. View from the balcony is priceless. The walk up the stairs is justification for more pasta and wine! Magnificent.

I knew from booking Sylvia’s home that it was going to be a positively enjoyable vacation. He was amazing at answering all my queries and providing suggestions on where we could eat/shop. The pictures in the listing are exactly what to expect and I can’t tell you how it felt to hear the bells of the Tower which was just steps away. Sylvia had clean linens/towels delivered after our first week and you would have thought they were new..amazing service! Kitchen was fully equipped so you would want for nothing. I know for some, the stairs might scare you off but, we’re 75 and although a little daunting we did it no problem for 15 days!! The location is walking distance to almost anything you would want including 13 minutes to the train station. I’ve used VRBO for years and although recently I’ve had my issues, this is a rental I would recommend to anyone that wants to experience Italy close up! Silvia, I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality and you can be sure if we return, we will be contacting you! Ciao

This place was clean, well appointed and absolutely in the perfect location to walk easily everywhere. I saw the reviews about there being 78 steps up to the apartment so I was not surprised when I got there. The 78 steps really aren’t a big deal if you are in reasonably good shape and it is so worth it when you see how nice the place is. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Can’t go wrong with staying here! A lot of stairs to get to the top floor, but otherwise has a great view of the duomo. The whole apartment is very spacious. One room is right on top of the other and you can hear into the room below, but that wasn’t a problem for us. We really enjoyed our stay here!

This is one of the favorite places I have ever stayed. Great location and wonderful attention to details. Seeing the Duomo from the terrace is amazing. Super close to pretty much everything. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Florence.

Wonderful place in the heart of Florence with a balcony view of the Duomo. Communication was exceptional before and during our stay. Could not recommend this place more highly. Only caution would be that it is the top level so there are a few flights of stairs to climb which may be an issue for those with mobility issues.

This apartment is incredible!! We had a lovely 6 night stay. Very comfortable and so beautifully decorated. It was nice to live like a local for a week. As others have mentioned, there are 78 concrete steps up to the apartment and no elevator. So be prepared to get your exercise. The location is right in the heart of everything. Train station 10 minute walk. Right around the corner from the Duomo. Host was very helpful, and made great restaurant recommendations So glad we chose this place!

We had a great three nights day! Everything was wonderful. The location can’t be beat - Walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The only issue we had was with the water pressure in the shower and length of time of hot water. Still, we would definitely stay here again.

No hot water in the morning and we could not shower. Apartment is on top floor with very steep stairs. Apartment smelled bad. Poor cellphone coverage made it very difficult for us to unlock doors.

Overall we were very happy with the property. It was very clean, in a great location and had good amenities. We did have some initial problems with the hot water and water pressure which were eventually fixed.
The steps are no joke so just be aware.
The location had easy access to everything g. We walked everywhere. I would stay again

Beautiful clean property. Modern updated appliances. Awesome locations, beautiful view of the dome at night. Attentive management. It was such a good stay overall that I hate to say anything negative, but, the water pressure was really low. You can only use one faucet at a time. The hot water boiler is only 300 liters, so if you have a family with multiple people, (we had my wife and I and our 2 teenage daughters) showering is a little challenging. Now, we’re not spoiled Americans trying to take one hour showers. We’ve been abroad quite a bit, and once again, great property, great stay, just know about the water pressure/hot water issue. By the way, we were told that this is an issue with the aqueduct in Florence, so, you may have this issue elsewhere also.

We were positively giddy with excitement when we opened the door to the apartment. It is so lovely - amazing decorative touches. And the best part?! That View!

We enjoyed our stay here. The location can’t be beat. You are basically at the Duomo. The Uffizi is really close as well as many other sights. We walked everywhere. There were plenty of restaurants close by. Sylvia was very accommodating. The digital key worked well except one time we had to try the outside door several times. I took a previous reviewer’s advice and had the key ready when I first got there as well as the Wi-Fi info in case you don’t have service.

We stayed in Florence for two nights- and the location was amazing!! The house was the perfect size for our family of four. The washer and dryer were a huge plus! Our hosts were very communicative and so hospitable. The house was clean, well stocked and so cozy! The view from the balcony was enchanting! When we return one day- we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Yes, there are stairs - but that’s no secret. For elderly persons, the walk up the stairs might be a little more difficult. 78 steps up to a really cute apartment with the most amazing view of the Duomo. This location is perfect for walking everywhere. We will return again. We had a problem with the water and the host had the problem fixed immediately. Much appreciated. All communication was great. Highly recommend this apartment.

We spent 5 weeks at this lovely home. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed and more. Keyless entry helped us to never forget the key. The bed was very comfortable, WiFi fast, kitchen equipped with more than we ever needed and we cooked a lot. Blow dryer, iron, washer AND dryer. Silvia was a wonderful host. Even helped us in understanding the bus we needed for Greve. And the view.....the stay was just perfect.

Awesome apartment, cleverly designed to fit two bedrooms, living area, kitchen and bathroom into a small space. It is located right in the heart of Florence 2min walk from the Duomo and 5 min walk to the Uffizi. The hike up the stairs with our luggage was worth it for the location. Thank you.

The place was great and so accommodating to store our luggage. It had a homey and cozy feel and was very clean. Great location! Under 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio Bridge and to “the David”. Lots of restaurants near by. I would stay there again.

We were so pleased with this wonderful apartment that was so close to everything in Florence! We were able to walk everywhere including to the train station! And what a beautiful sight to go out to the terrace and see the Duomo at night. The apartment is just as pictured and is very clean and chairs/bed/couch are comfortable. It is across from a very nice hotel with extremely wonderful staff who were always willing to help us with suggestions. Many wonderful restaurants were available on the blocks around us as were every kind of shop-even grocery stores and fruit/veg markets. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We will certainly come back when we return to Florence.

We really enjoyed our stay at Silvia’s apartment. The location was ideal – close to so many sights and attractions as well as restaurants, cafes and shops. The apartment had everything we could want – a balcony with a view of the Duomo, a well-stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and the apartment and location were quiet. I would definitely stay again if I’m back in Florence.

We slept wonderfully in this centrally located, comfortable apartment. Everything was within 15 minutes walking distance. We stopped daily at the bakery (pizzas, calzones, breads, pastries!) just a few steps away. The apartment had everything we needed for a delightful trip to Florence. We did have a bit of difficulty using the online check in system (cellular wasn’t working for either of our phones- husband 4G and mine 5G) but I was able to login to the apartment Wi-Fi from the street and access it that way. Once we were able to connect, it was a breeze. I would recommend this apartment for a stay in Florence!

We stayed almost 2 weeks in Silvia's magnificent apartment and hated leaving. There are simply not enough words to express how perfect the apartment was for my husband and me. This was our first trip to Florence and the location was wonderful. We walked to everything and the neighborhood had anything and everything we could have hoped for (2 art supply stores, paper shops, grocery stores/produce stand, and so many charming restaurants. The apartment was immaculate, well outfitted, and quiet. The balcony with views of the Duomo provided the perfect spot for coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. Silvia was a fabulous host and her communication was perfect. I almost hate writing such a glowing review as the property is already difficult to book. We are hoping to visit again and stay for at least a month in 2025. Thank you Silvia for sharing this outstanding apartment!

This property is in immaculate condition and it’s a quality environment in a quality location. Everything easily walkable from the apartment. The owners clearly have a high standard which is reflected in the entire experience - they are very buttoned-up and specific about all the details, and they are helpful and responsive. The digital key worked perfectly. We didn’t stay long enough to take advantage of all the amenities, but if you want an A apartment, this is a sure thing. There is no elevator and carrying 3 large bags up 76 steps wasn’t fun, but the apartment was worth it. We would have loved a noon check-out vs 10:00am, but we were out of there on time regardless. In fact, the cleaning person arrived 30 minutes early, but politely waited outside so we could depart.

My wife and I spent 5 glorious days in Florence, and the highlight of the trip by far was our stay at this wonderful spot very close to the Duomo. Despite the 4 flights of steps to get to the top floor, the place was amazing and very accommodating. We loved this apartment and miss it already! I would highly recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.

My husband and I stayed here for our last night in Florence and it was perfect for us. The location and views of the Duomo from the balcony were fabulous! Access to the building using a phone was very easy and there are a lot of steps, but that is how you get the views. This was a nice way to end our trip!
