Plain and simple worst stay ever at a hotel

Disrespectful front desk! Terrible place!

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was informed that the booking price was a mistake and that the hotel would not honor this rate. Instead, they demanded a 5 times higher price. Yes! 5 times higher! When I refused to pay this amount, the front desk manager canceled my confirmed reservation without any consideration. I explained that I had driven two hours with my elderly mother, my wife and my 7-month-old baby specifically for this weekend trip. The manager's response was dismissive, stating, "I can't do anything." While I was on the phone with the booking.com, the manager approached me to negotiate a lower price. This entire situation was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional, especially with my baby crying and clearly distressed. Their behavior was appalling. I have traveled extensively around the world, and this has been the worst experience I have ever encountered at a hotel. When I refused the revised offer, the manager arrogantly stated that I wouldn't find a better rate and withdrew the offer, telling me to "do whatever, offer is not on the table anymore." This treatment is completely unacceptable. Never seen such a disrespectful and arrogant manager. Stay anywhere else but this hotel!

we plan to stay there again because of the location

great location. walking distance from the Music Room for great blues show. had breakfast at a wonderful place Ann @ Fran’s right across the street. hit the antique shops down the road. perfect hotel for a perfect weekend getaway

the bar area was a little too sterile. not much character. more cafeteria style

Guter Ausgangspunkt um die Gegend zu erkunden.

Kostenlose und ausreichend viele Parkplätze. Die Nähe zum Meer. Es gibt einen Lebensmittelladen in der direkten Nachbarschaft.

Der Preis ist zu hoch und ohne Frühstück.

Overall, it was a good place to stay.

The breakfast was good, but they ran out of food some mornings. It was close to the beach and restaurants.

They never changed the sheets or made the beds.The bathroom door didn’t latch , so it would open.

Hotel owners need to repair ASAP. Don't recommend!

The close proximity to all the beaches and stores.

Starting with the dirty mold odor of the room. The shower was not draining, and the refrigerator was not even cold enough to store my food. I called the front desk the 1st night to ask maintenance to come look at the shower drain, and nobody came to look at it.I will not be staying here again.

Never going back

I liked the fact that the front desk staff helped me to get a full refund on my room

The smell in the room was HORRIBLE. Very musty, dirty smelling. The a/c sounded like a lawn mower, had mold all over the vents and the whole unit had to be replaced per the super. Room looked very old, stains everywhere, including chairs. Felt like I was staying in someone’s basement and not a room I just paid $890 for. Fortunately we were able to find a room elsewhere and received a full refund. We didn’t even stay the night there.

it’s not everyday that I can brag about a fabulous stay on the cape! you guys have made me very happy! nice location, accommodating and friendly staff, and the rooms omg! . I walked in and the room was very cool, clean as can be and the beds are soooo comfy!!! very happy customer and I have signed up for rewards program and will be back next week!! thank you!

A year later the Hotel is gross.

I liked the lobby.

Other than the lobby being nice, the room was bad. The bathroom door was coming off the hinges. The sink was not draining properly. The wallpaper was peeling. The bed sheets had a stain on them. The breakfast was not good. I stayed last year and it was good. This year was not good.

I liked the proximity to activities and the convinient parking

Room was only cleaned 1 out of 4 days there. The indoor pool wasn’t heated. The breakfast was prepackaged. Had to fight to get cleaning done.

The Aidan is located so close to multiple beaches and major tour destinations. It was easy to find and it was a great place to stay!

Pleasant and met our needs overall.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. Front desk staff were friendly check in easy. Parking near room. well presented on the outside and in the lobby/common areas.

Breakfast provided was poor quality and with few options - cold only. Seating area was adequate but not overly inviting. Staff member assigned to the breakfast area was abrupt, almost surly and absent when we needed assistance. Compared to other properties on our trip the room rates were expensive.

The hotel is in a good area, the housekeepers would be on top of cleaning the rooms

The view from the room window and the climate was very nice while in the area.

They had mold in the walls and changed me to three different rooms, didn’t want it to be know that the pool was open. Nothing to really watch on the TV or able to attach in order to make it a smart Tv to watch Netflix etc.

Not worth it

I liked the location

So many things went wrong. The room was not as the photos; things were falling apart in the room from the wall to the floor boards. The cleaners refused to clean my room when I asked but 2 hours later BANGED on my door several times asking to clean my room and they were laughing when I looked out the peep-hole. I went to the pool and it was FREEZING! The maintaince did not look "into it" until 2-3 hours later. The coffee machine for breakfast was also broken. The bed was uncomfortable and the bed sheets were so rough! Again I liked the location but would rather stay anywhere else but here.

Shower was extremely slippery, cable box in wall was broken and hanging out, pool was cold, pool area was so slippery multiple people fell at least once and the following morning it was closed. Bed linen was very uncomfortable. Ac would work for about 20 minutes the. Would not turn back on until I would turn it off and back on making the room very hot. Smoking area was right outside our room so our room smelled like cigarettes. The “continental breakfast” was a couple bags of cereal. That’s it nothing else. Very unhappy with our stay as we have stayed at best western before and have loved it. Will not be going back to Aiden and wish we spent the money elsewhere.

The location is great for exploring the west Cape area The Indian restaurant in the hotel is excellent

staff good, restaurant good, pool heater broken. Surprise birthday for a 5 yr old who had never had a party, never spent it with family and never been to a hotel and never been in a pool. Pool heater was broken, the water freezing. Too cold to swim and then shut down. Compensation should have been offered for full money back or another stay when pool is fixed.
