De ligging. Vriendelijk personeel
Koffiezet op de kamer werkte niet.
De hele nacht heeft de buis van de verwarming onophoudend getikt en mij wakker gehouden.
Het koude water liep nauwelijks

The location was close to town and accommodating.
The room was a bit dated and could use some updates.

Although a historical building it is well maintained and clean. Location is great!
Our room had 2 bunk beds and the top bunks were very difficult to navigate; might consider a different style of bunk ladder with handles at the top of the ladder.

location by the beach was perfect.
the water temperature was hard to regulate for the sinks and showers. It was either freezing cold or scalding hot.

Great place to stay. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean, and common areas cozy and quaint. There’s a great deck for hanging out and easy access to the beach. The photo with the view from our room shows the roof of the deck that has multiple seating areas and a grill.
If I had to pick something I didn’t like, I guess it’s that the bathroom in our room was very small. Worked out fine, though, since there are 2 large shared baths down the hall (a great convenience we didn’t realize when booking).

Rika (spelling) the wonderful woman at the front desk was not just good but EXCELLENT and she went the extra mile for us. She was our 1st encounter with the hotel and made it the best experience right from the beginning to the end.

The bed was comfortable, the location is great, close to Bishops Beach and town. If you're lucky you might get a tiny mountian/water view on top floor. Otherwise you'll be looking at cars and parking lot. They offer complementary coffee and tea throughout the day. The price was the best I could find in a pinch.
The room (closet) I was given, was not what I booked online.. The tiny room smelled badly, and I could hear every noise from the adjacent rooms at night. The plumbing in the building also makes a squeal everytime a sink is turned in. Between the smell, noise and no blackout curtains, it was hard to sleep. Both days I stayed there was massive construction DIRECTLY outside my doorstep (dump trucks, dozers, smoothers) actually shaking the walls, so loud, and smelling like desiel, blocking the view with piles of fill dirt. Hard to believe they didn't shut down those days or warm me or give me a discount. Even without the construction, this place is not so great. I definitely had the hebby-jebbys from the smell and dirtiness of some parts of the room. Guess that's why this place is a "bargin" in Homer.

The motel is close to restaurants, Safeway, and the beach. The staff will help you book activities around town and really want you to enjoy your stay in Homer. There are shared bathrooms in the main area but other rooms have their own. There are RV places with full hook ups and shower facilities.

Priscilla and her family were extremely helpful in ensuring that I enjoyed my stay. The pillows and the bed were the most comfortable that I have ever experience at a hotel/motel before, just wonderful. This property was in the best spot for food and amazing views. Thank you and will be seeing you soon!
The only thing was that I was not able to get into the hotel one night due to not being given the information needed to enter the property after hours. I ended up waiting for about 10-15 minutes before I was able to enter the property and even then, I was not able to get in contact with anyone from the property by phone or otherwise.

Customer Service was awesome and very insightful for things to do and places to go including restaurant recommendations.
When booking would be good to have a place for animal specific rooms.

Driftwood iis a bit off the beaten path. But is has a view of the ocean and mountain range. You are within walking distance of a expansive beach, with historical information and local input. It has a very warm feeling when you walk in. I recommend it highly.
