Everyone there was very nice
Using booking. Com made my stay complicated they couldn't find my reservation and I was charged twice

The breakfast was not what you expected when you pay 178.00 a day. Actually sucked nothing
Nothing except the location
6.0
Comfortable beds, good location near stores and grocery.
Microwave was not functional. However we were changed rooms, where everything worked. The breakfast ran out of eggs. Communication lacking between manager and workers.

Hotel room was spacious and clean. Hot breakfast was good, great coffee.
Pool seemed to be a little dirty. The pillows were too soft and hurt my neck.

not sure never got to check in
well, to start, booked on Booking.com, walked towards the front door, noticed an older woman in a silver jacket with stretch pants smoking within 2 feet of the sliding front entrance, apparently in conjunction with a male friend of some sort. As I reached the door, she said "Hon, do you have a reservation?" Not realizing that this was an actual Marriott employee, I was annoyed by some stranger asking me this. She followed me in, the male friend went off to sit in the lobby and she walked behind the customer hospitality desk. I was stunned, now knowing she was the front desk clerk.
Ok, although she smelled DEEPLY of cigarette smoke and was not dressed professionally at all, we started the check-in process. She informed me that they did not have a reservation for me, although I showed her the emailed receipt from Booking.com with the # and pin of the reservation. After essentially being snotty and being uncaring and unhelpful, she went to get "the manager on duty", who appeared to be a young college aged woman. She pretty much acted and said the same, I get the impression she was highly annoyed at having to come out of the back.
I was informed there was nothing they could do, but I could "take my bags and go sit in the lobby for awhile and see if the reservation ever came through."
Mind you, lol, I am a marriott member of some higher level, very tired after a long day of work on the road and the Michigan weather was terrible. I kept telling them I paid for the room via Booking.com and this was ridiculous. The women informed me rather brusquely that "they didn't like my tone" and I explained I was coming off bronchitis and my voice was raw and scratchy and it was hard for me to talk.
They actually started to get insulting and said I had to leave. I again asked what we could do and/or I needed a refund.
At this point, they both left the front desk and went in back.

I loved everything about this room! This is always my hotel of choice when visiting Battle Creek, MI!
No oven!

The property was in a safe location.
I ordered a King Suit ended up with 2 double beds. Discovered insects on the curtains, my husband had to remove them and flush them down the toilet. Also, a dirty wash cloth was lying outside my door upon arrival. Last but not least, the bed side lamps were dusty. The design of the room was great, The housekeeping staff needs more supervision for the price Marriott is asking for.

Nice rooms and the breakfast is really good. They have crustless quiches!

Beds were very comfortable
I called ahead to make sure the pool was open. But when I got there they were closed the whole time. The pool was the reason I chose this hotel.

Loved everything else. Breakfast was great!
Obviously the price was crazy! With all the covid incentives in place for business' there shouldn't be anything that has to be passed on to consumers at this time. Especially in Michigan! Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Also, For that price the rooms should have ovens. Other TP hotels do. You also need to put a full length mirror in the rooms.....IJS!
