About this apartment rental
Beautiful newly furnished apartment with fantastic views of Lake Como. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and living room with open kitchen. The large south-west facing terrace offers a beautiful view of Lake Como and surrounding mountains. A pebble beach is 300 meters away. The apartment is close to all the attractions on the lake, both for sporting and for cultural travelers. Highly recommended!

Great place to visit Lake Como, a bite remote but it’s a plus as if you have a car bevande you are not stuck with all the tourist traffic coming from Como by ferry. What a amazing view, definitely enjoy aperitivo on the terrace.

Perfect verblijf
Afgelopen week (herfstvakantie) een fantastische week gehad in het appartement in Dorio. Prachtige omgeving maar ook een fantastisch verblijf. Alles keurig en netjes verzorgd. Goede uitgeruste keuken, met alles erop en eraan. Oké, geen vaatwasser maar totaal niet gemist! Iedere ochtend weer blij verrast van het prachtige uitzicht vanaf het balkon. 2 slaapkamers met prima bedden, fijne badkamer en gezellig ingerichte kamer. We voelden ons er echt "thuis". Je moet wel een beetje conditie hebben vanwege de trappen en het omhoog en naar beneden lopen van de steile wegen. Want een wandeling maken richting Dorio en Dervio is prachtig. Gedeelte van Dervio is alsof je een middeleeuws dorpje binnenstapt. Hier met veel trappen maar wat was het prachtig. Ik kan nog wel even doorgaan hoe mooi, leuk en geweldig het was maar ik zou zeggen boek een vakantie voor die appartement en ervaar het zelf!

Lauter Aufenthalt
Vorweg, die Wohnung war wirklich wunderschön! Sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und der Blick ein absoluter Wahnsinn. Leider wurde in der Wohnung unter uns (die Wände sind ohnehin sehr hellhörig) ein Badezimmer erneuert. Wir hatten 4 Tage lang ununterbrochen Baustellenlärm, der wirklich unerträglich war.An einem Tag sogar bis nach 20 Uhr. Wir waren natürlich nicht immer in der Wohnung aber von einem Bohrhammer geweckt zu werden....nicht so schön. Wir haben uns dann mit der Vermieterin in Verbindung gesetzt um das zu klären. Sie wusste leider nichts davon, sonst hätte sie uns lt. eigener Aussage die Wohnung nicht vermietet. Leider mussten wir das Problem selbst klären. Was aber auch nicht wirklich funktionierte. Sie bat uns zwar noch an eine Nacht länger zu bleiben, jedoch brachte das nichts, da wir am Sonntag wieder arbeiten mussten. Auch der Kontakt mit FeWo selbst war keine Hilfe. Alles in allem die Wohnung wirklich wunderschön, aber während der Woche leider nicht sehr erholsam.

Lovely apartment with a stunning view
The apartment and the view is, just as shown in the pictures, really nice and beautiful. The furnishing is modern, the apartment is equipped with EVERYTHING you might need. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here, and can only recommend the accommodation! We are looking forward to come back.

Ein Schlafzimmerbett ( Ikea Ausziehbett) mit Holzlattenrost und ca. 5 cm dicker Matratze.
Eignet sich ggf. für Kinder/ Jugendlich oder max. 1-2 Übernachtungen für Erwachsene.
Schade, schlechter Schlaf wiegt die tolle Aussicht leider nicht auf.
Parkmöglichkeit für größere Autos (Kombis) = der empfohlene Parkplatz ist leider nicht geeignet, man kann aber am Straßenrand parken (ist aber durch die Steigung nicht jedermanns Sache)
Erreichen der Unterkunft zu Fuß = sehr steile Steigung – wie haben nur einen Zugang auf der Straße gefunden
Mal eben schnell an den Badestrand oder Brötchen holen, ist für „ Altersgruppe Ü 50 mit normalen Fitnesslevel“ nicht ganz so einfach.

Einfach nur schön
Ich war mit meiner Freundin zum Wandern am Comer See und habe das Appartement aufgrund des tollen Ausblicks und der ruhigen Lage gewählt. Ein voller Erfolg.
An sonnigen Tagen kann man in der Umgebung sehr schöne Ausflüge machen. Ist man bereit morgens ca 1 Stunde Auto zu fahren, ist die Auswahl schier unbegrenz. Bei Regen bietet das bequeme Sofa zwei Liegeplätze und bei Bedarf einen Fernseher mit Zugangsmöglichkeit zu den gängigen Streamingdiensten.
Das Appartement war perfekt fuer uns. Eine Spühlmaschine (ich wüsste aber nicht wohin) und ein größerer Wäscheständer wären gut.

Great stay beautiful view very close to Dervio
Veronique is a great host. She was super helpful and available. The house is made for Airbnb, very clean, all new furniture and an AMAZING view to the lake. The tv has Netflix but I don’t think you will use it :)
The house is very close to Dervio And to the Kitesurf schools. I come with my bicycle only and was able to do everything with it. There is a big up mountain to get to the apartment but we were able to do it as the bicycles are assisted ones. Great great stay, I recommend!

Mijn man en ik hebben samen met onze peuter van 2.5 jaar een week doorgebracht in het appartement van Veronique in Dorio. Wij
vonden het heerlijk! Het uitzicht vanaf het appartement is schitterend, de omgeving is geweldig en het appartement zelf is schoon, mooi ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook de communicatie voor het inchecken en tips voor de omgeving waren prima.
Wanneer je een rustige plek zoekt aan het Comomeer en een natuurliefhebber bent dan is dit de plek!

Love Lake Como
This apartment has everything you need for the perfect stay in Lake Como. The main attraction is the view from the balcony and the possibility to eat, drink, read or just admire the view. There are the amenities available to cook everyday with small shops a 5 minute drive or a supermarket 20 minutes away. The bedroom, bathroom and living area are a comfortable size and both clean and tidy. We couldn't use the WiFi as the box wouldn't connect to the internet, meaning we couldn't use the TV either, but we didn't miss it as we spent our time watching the boats and the scenery of the lake. There is space to park your car. Dorio is a small village with a bakery, bar and restaurant, but is well connected to the rest of the lake with the road and the train station next to the lake.

We had wonderful time at this place. The apartment was perfect for relaxation with best view of the lake. location was great to explore eastern shore fromColico to Varenna. Veronique was helpful and everything was arranged nicely. Good place to for anyone who wants to explore the place or just relax with beautiful view of the lake.

Hot and Isolated!
The property and area are wonderful!
However, a car is mandatory. I wish that had been explained before we left the states so an international driver's license could be obtained. When we arrived late at approximately 6:00 p.m., the numbers for the taxi services were invalid. The area was isolated and not safe. It was only for the kindness of an Italian man walking his dog that we found a taxi. He called five taxi services before he found one that would take us to Dorio ten minutes from Milano. If we had gone to Dorio, I can't imagine what would have happened because it is more isolated and the train station is unmanned.
The area is beautiful and has a small town flavor. The one grocery store had limited items and was only opened until noon daily. There was one restaurant. The people we met everywhere were helpful and kind.
We had to walk everywhere and took the train to other towns. The train reliability was approximately 80%. Purchase your train tickets at a bar across from the grocery store in Dorio.
No mention of the above was noted in the feedback from others.
The posting in June regarding needing a car was not posted until we returned home. This would have been very helpful to see. So, I am including this information to help others.
We had weather reports that it was going to be colder than usual. In reality, there was a heat wave that exceeded temperature ranges and broke decades of records. The apartment has no air conditioning and there was no breeze during these times. There was one small fan in the apartment. It was sweltering hot and we were unable to sleep. Start saving your ice as soon as you arrive!
The apartment has beautiful views. But remember, it is a long way up the hill. We got our exercise while in Dorio! Be sure and have a car if you rent this place.
The WiFi was non-functional. We would think it was working but our international carrier would kick in with another daily charge. I'm not sure what needs to be done to boost the power. Often times, it would be so low that the signal would not show as a WiFi.
This is a beautiful place and many of our concerns were not directly related to the property. Notifying potential renters about the need for a car is basic and should be listed on the site. I recommend adding more fans / ac and boosting WiFi.

Beautiful little apartment with a view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is newly renovated, all modern decor and conveniences. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in traveling internationally. The view is spectacular and although Dorio is a quiet little town where a car is definitely needed, it’s a short drive to other conveniences along the lake such a groceries, ferry etc. We loved hiking the Sentiero Del Viandante right from our doorstep as well. We never were able to connect to the apartment’s WiFi despite trying every day, but it didn’t negatively affect our stay, it just would have been convenient. Veronique was very prompt with communication and wonderful to work with, thank you very much!
