Great location, fair price and decent enough bed. Hope the renovations are completed when we return.

Location was the key point for my wife and I as it was the nearest hotel/motel in the upscale Brentwood area near a family home and weekend gathering. Area was very safe, Room was comfortable enough and was well cleaned and refreshed. Bed was comfy. I brought along a white-noise machine as I knew it was on a busy street Sunset Boulevard and that that did the trick. Reasonable rate for the pricey location.

Minimal breakfast - a pot of hot water and tea bags, a fruit (banana one day, orange the next) and a berry filled snackbar - but went out for a cup of good coffee. Everything was skimpy - only a few thin towels, only 1 regular/1 decaf coffee pod in the room, shower but no bath. Half the hotel was under renovation. Our heater and a/c didn't work. The entry door was out of alignment with the frame so we were stuck inside until the office clerk was able to shoulder the door open from the outside.

I would never rent that room if I was aware of the no hot water issue and the morning construction.

Safety parking was nice. We parked the car in front of our room.

The Motel was under the construction in the next room and above our room. The construction started at 7:30am. The drilling hummer jack started at 8am. We had to leave the room permanently. There was no hot water at all.

Good choice for a short stay.

Staff very nice. Great location, and surprisingly quiet given that it’s on Sunset Blvd. Room was clean. Definitely has that charming, vintage LA vibe.

Room could use an update. Tile cracked in the bathroom, TV remote was faulty, and the shower is tiny (though it did have great water pressure!)

The Brentwood Inn was a great place for my quick business trip.

The Brentwood Inn felt newly remodeled and classy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The furnishings in the room were appealing and clean. Even though I didn't have a car, I was able to walk (15 min) to several restaurant options.

I had trouble setting the in-wall air conditioner, but that was likely user error rather than an issue with the facilities.

Very disappointing

Didn't take advantage of the breakfast

Our original room was very small so we were moved, but carpet was dirty and there were spots on the duvet cover. We were overcharged for the room and our pet deposit, but after disputing, we were refunded the overcharges.

Superb

The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating - rated a 10+. Internet worked fine and the room had everything we needed including coffee.

The parking was a bit tough (very small) and the Inn only had one entrance off of Sunset Blvd going East only. Traffic was rough and we had to travel around a few streets to figure out how to get onto Sunset going in the correct direction to get into the parking lot. Once we were parked at the Inn, we did not want to leave for fear of not being able to find a parking spot at the Inn or nearby. As the entrance is literally at the stoplight it makes it a bit rough going in and out.

Don't stay here if you want to a good night sleep

Location is close to our son's apartment.

Bad: We checked in at 5pm and we were given the worst room by the intersection of Sunset Blvd and S Kenter Ave. There was constant road noise. We asked to change our room but they said nothing was available. Stains on the carpet. Worse: Bathroom is nothing close to the pictures. The shower is the 30"X30" hole just like those '50 tract homes in San Francisco/Daly City. Even I, a 105-lb woman, bumped my elbows in the shower. Some grout lines are black. Bathroom is puny. Layout is terrible. Nowhere to put toiletries. The bathroom needs serious upgrade. Worst: The thermostat is unresponsive. I was tortured all night by the room temperature. It just got getting hotter and hotter even I adjusted it all the way down to 65 from 11pm - 2am. The single-room Fujitsu unit blew out hot air every few minutes. I had to call front desk at 2am. Someone came and adjusted it down so AC kicked in. Then I wanted to adjust to warmer an hour later and the unit did not respond much. To make it worse, there is no option to turn off the unit. I did not sleep until 6 am. After getting a couple of hours of sleep in the morning from exhaustion. We jumped in the car and hurried to our lunch appointment. I called the front desk while we were on our way. They only offered me a 10% discount for the unrestful night. I had to check out even I have a 2-night reservation. And they made me go back to check out before 12:30pm. They could not accommodate us to return at 2pm to check out. I had to cancel my lunch appointment just to run away from here ever.
