Great breakfast, nicely decorated property, well-kept grounds.
The step-up to the commode in one of the guest rooms is a bit funky.

Room and facilities very comfortable. Charming house, parking right out front. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating, before and during our weekend stay. We were visiting Ticonderoga, which is closeby yet most easily reached by a small ferry - a surprise, but a fun 7 min ride. The ferry stops at 6 pm though, and in that case guests would drive up to Crown Point to cross the lake.
Not related to the management of this property: There are not many restaurants or bars to relax in evening. We went to Middlebury for dinner after our arrival, and then our plans were rained out the next night, so we ended up going back to that town. We understand though these are not big "night life" towns, so it was just a bit inconvenient to drive 20 min to dinner.

Wonderful Inn! The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast done to your choice and delicious. Lots of love to detail with the décor in the house.
Nothing. :)
Only advice: check you understand the instructions for how you switch from bathtub to shower before taking the shower. I struggled with that. ;D

The building is very historic, beautifully kept. The decor really enhances the atmosphere. It is welcoming and comfortable. I appreciate the effort they put in to be considered a Green building, it is thoughtful.
There are no complaints.

Visiting the US from the UK we were amazed to find a place to stay with such a historic background and (our own home in England dates from around 1830) to stay somewhere built in the 1790s!
The building was charming, well- cared for and the bed was so comfy!
We were also directed to a really authentic diner for our dinner, which was also a brilliant experience.
Nothing. We'd stay there again.

The breakfast was excellent- coffee delicious -lovely assortment of breakfast for. The proprietor s were very welcoming. The overall stay was very comfortable.
I would have appreciated some clothes hooks in the bathroom along with a bigger mirror- we had to dress for a wedding. It would have been nice to have a larger mirror to use.

Breakfast was ordered from a small menu and was excellent. Good tasting coffee, a pastry and other items cooked to order.
The inn is in a very old home. Our room was big enough but I had to be clever about using the space. There isn’t a closet because there wasn’t room for one. The one chair was very low to the ground but comfortable once you got there and there wasn’t a lot of shelf space in the bathroom. The common rooms may have been a nice place to hang out.

Very interesting history, full of antiques. Cheerful proprietress.
Noisy window air conditioners, church bells through the night. Awkward steps into the room and the bathroom, I fell at night. We booked because of the rave reviews about the restaurant. Found out it had been closed since October but that wasn’t apparent when we booked.

We got a homemade breakfast every morning which was a nice addition.

Breakfast was good. Nice to have games downstairs to play.
The proprietor. He watched while two 70+-year old men dragged our heavy suitcases up the very steep flight of stairs to our rooms and did not offer to help. Then when we were leaving he said that all we had to do was ask for help. Any young person would have offered. He scolded me for turning off some of the lights downstairs when we went to bed though we were the last to leave the room - we thought we were doing the polite thing. And he told me that if we didn't arrive by 9:00 PM SHARP that we would be locked out of our room. However, when we got there, and we asked what would have happened if we had arrived at 9:05, he said he and his wife lived upstairs and it would have been fun. Meanwhile, we raced to make the 9:00 deadline unnecessarily and he could care less about our safety. He never introduced himself so I don't know to refer to him by name.

Fantastic, home-cooked breakfast!

We loved the room, the hospitality and the surrounding area. We spent one day biking around the area enjoying the scenery.
We had to drive 20-30 minutes to get to a town with multiple restaurant options. It worked out fine, but would be nice to have available options close by or at the Inn.

The breakfast was good. The rooms were pretty though small.
The attitude of the owner. We were told that if we got to the property at 9:01 PM, when check in stopped at 9:00 PM, the front door would be locked and we could not check in. Also, the young innkeeper did not offer to help two 70-year old men carry heavy suitcases up or down the steep staircase to our rooms and then commented that we should have asked for help. Courtesy would suggest he offer!

What a beautiful, historic inn. Quiet, relaxing, knitting by the fireplace cozy. We were in a hurry in the morning and the innkeeper had a to-go breakfast and coffee ready for us.
It is quite a ways to a dinner restaurant, but the drive is beautiful.
