One Major Flaw.

The location is always exquisite, the ability to come to and fro whenever you wished was also a bonus. No worry of being out late and not able to come back in.

One very glaring concern was the lack of food safety practices, though menus stated Allergen, Tolerance and preference guidelines, i was failed when given a breakfast plate of baked beans which wasn't requested and when replated part of my previous plate was scraped onto my new plate that had made contact with Bean sauce resulting in me refusing to eat, though this issue was resolved thanks to the on duty Manager, it's still a very glaring Food safety concern, though I myself am not allergic or intolerant this nonchalance has me concerned for those who may have such an allergen or intolerance.

Amazing staff nothing too much trouble, they are a credit to the service industry.

Location really good, staff amazing.Breakfast was ok only gripe is it that difficult to do a runny egg.

Hotel is looking tired, could do with updating. Stress not dirty in fact very clean but looking its age. Wi-Fi code non existent other than in front lobby.

Overnight stay

The location is great we had a fantastic sea view. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a bit dated but that adds to its charm. The breakfast was very nice.

We left the windows open at night and there was some traffic noise and seagulls screeching but that’s the price you pay for being by the sea.

A wonderful clean and friendly venue perfectly located on the sea front

Whilst the hotel is slightly tired and would benefit a refurbishment/decoration it was spotlessly clean and a very enjoyable stay. The location of the venue was second to none and there is adequate free parking on site. We would certainly go back if we were in the area in the future.

The quality of the breakfast wasn't great, but of an adequate start to the day, and catering for so many at once always has its difficulties.

Great value, fab place to stay

Needed somewhere just for the one night to attend the West of England Brass band championships in Torquay. Didn't want to spend too much as was only one night and was only there to sleep. The cheapest around and amazing place for the price.

The only downside of my room was not enough plug sockets. Could have done with plug socket by bed so I could charge my phone by me as needed it by me for my alarm in the morning. Apart from that cannot fault it.

Family night away

The location is fab. The staff always go above and beyond. It's comfy, clean and friendly. We had a patio room which was spacious and had everything we needed.

Very noisy being directly under the dining room but wasn't anything major!

Lovely stay in wonderful location.

Fabulous breakfast. Wonderful service. Staff are always lovely.

Slightly outdated bathroom which needed a shelf to rest glasses etc on .

Lovely hotel we had half-board , food was lovely.

Right on sea front, staff very helpful.

Beds to soft , and shower was poor water pressure fit for a 10-year-old. Still hasn’t put me off staying here again.

Very good

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good .especially jenny . Had sea view bedroom which was amazing . Plenty of car parking. And in a great location

The shower was awful, with no pressure . Really needs updating. Lovely hotel but more accustomed to coach party's and older generation

Tired in need of refresh & better chef

Great location, friendly, helpful staff. They also put my parents into a ground floor room due to reduced mobility which was good

Not very clean, the bathroom smelt worse after being cleaned, mould on rubber bathroom mat & ceiling. Food awful, seemed to be prepared the day before & cheap produce used - what is crispy bacon mashed potato?! No Wi-Fi

Great stay at Paignton Marine Hotel

Great stay very comfortable beds Good breakfast 😋 And the most attentive staff couldn't do enough to make our stay very pleasant 🙂 Will definitely be back in the future Great value for money 👍

We especially liked some of the staff especially molly and the other young ladies serving behind the bar .. The young man who said he had been there for 18 years was a little abrupt at times but fairly Proffesional.. The food was good that we had but we only had breakfast

I personally think charging £10 a night for our pet is unfair because it wasn't made clear to us until we got there and if they want to charge people should be told so as not to get a nasty surprise when they arrive .. We had even called the hotel prior to going and the lady on reception didn't tell us then and to be fair what is the money for the dog just sleeps on the floor in our room so if the hotel wants to attract pet owners to I don't believe there should a cost ..

photos of the room were very deceptive. Spent more to have a nicer room but was entirely unimpressed. Very small room. Breakfast was awful, cheap poor quality food.

Stayed whilst visiting grandchildren, lovely hotel, staff very friendly. Weather was awful

The staff were lovely, breakfast was good, quick and efficient

As breakfast was only 8.30 - 9.30am the tea pot is already placed on the table, if you do not get to breakfast at 8.30 the tea is cold.

Good value hotel

Pleasant staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Superb bathroom with excellent large shower. Free on-site parking was appreciated.

WiFi unavailable in room. We had to leave without breakfast because it starts at too late a time (08:30)

Best value hotel in Paignton.

Great hotel, we needed somewhere for a one night stay on a budget, far exceeded what we paid, clean, tidy, friendly. Rooms were warm, water hot, signs of recent refurbishments well done, definately will be back when working in the area later this year.

Quite frankly, for the price we paid for 2 rooms, nothing in the Hotels control could be improved upon.

The waiting staff tried hard to be helpful. Conservatory area was nice and comfortable , location very good.

Meals were mediocre, dinner vegetables looked like they had been sitting around since the morning (at least). Shower was was too small , shower weak. Limited choice of food.

Nice hotel

Lovely sea view , staff very helpful and friendly, fee parking . Spacious rooms .lift in the property. Loads of draws and wardrobe space , ample plug sockets , free WiFi

Water pressure very poor , could do with more hot drink collection in rooms . Bath Towels quite small.
