The owner and her staff maintain this beautiful large historic property to very high standards and are very welcoming and kind. We feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to stay here. And its location put us within a 10 minute flat walk to most things we wanted to see and do, and there are many delicious cafes and restaurants nearby.

Lovely place, it feels like a family country home that one happens to be staying. The owner and the staff seem to be genuinely friendly rather than professionally polite. Everything isn’t perfect but nothing in life is perfect. This is real, and it’s lovely! The breakfast was great!

Absolutely amazing! The family running this property were sensitive to one's every need. Was more than an hotel.
The bathrooms had amazing facilities, where marble is the local industry (see museum in Vila Vicosa).
Rooms and public areas well air-conditioned. Sights in the area five-star, from those in the town to the four forts and walled city of Elvas, half an hour's easy ride away. Easy to get to from Lisbon or the South.

The host was very inviting and shared the history of the house. It is an outstanding property with a beautiful private garden and swimming pool. The room was large and comfortable. There is local marble used throughout in beautiful colors. The house is beautifully decorated with seating areas and lounges. Easy parking in front of property. Good breakfast included. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Vila Vícosa.

Motorcycle trip.
Stayed here while passing through the area. This is a fantastic building with lots of history and sympathetically renovated into a hotel. The owner and host was amazingly caring to ensure we had a good stay. Buffet Breakfast was lovely and we couldn’t have asked for more. Would definitely return.
On street parking outside the hotel but this wasn’t really a problem

Extremely clean and beautiful place. Gardens, decoration and level of care is awesome.
Sadly there was a group who partied all night by the pool, and inside, and it was not possible to sleep until 3 AM. Called the receptionist a few times and no one answered. Very disappointing. Finally, at breakfast we asked for scrambled eggs, and we were told that there were no mor eggs. Not acceptable in such a place when you have all rooms booked. A lot to improve…

It was a beautiful, historic home in a town with numerous landmarks, and all of them within walking distance. Our apartment was like a large suite with a kitchenette. It had recently been refurbished and was like new. There’s a large garden area with a pool. Dona Manuela, Luisa, and Leonor were wonderful! We definitely recommend this place.

I travelled enough to be able to state that this hotel is one of the best places I've ever been.
There was nothing they didn't think of. Very clean, very comfortable, great staff, wonderful location, tranquil place, ample room. beautiful garden and a rich interior decoration. In one word "Perfect".
