Excellent location and spacious room. As expected, an old home does not have all the conveniences of a modern structure.
Old toilet was particularly slow to refill. Old shower head was not optimum.

Whistler's Inn really feels like one of the authentic old Lenox homes and is an easy walk from town. It dates from 1865, and was made into a 14-room inn in the late 70s, showing its age nicely in a very well maintained package ... Now owned and run by family of the original owner. Lisa is helpful and nice, serving breakfast and doing the check-in tour. We liked the breakfast -- your choice of eggs, pancakes, French toast, available mornings in the very pretty parlor. Her parents are also very nice, full of stories and gossip about Lenox history, the artists who visit the area, and artists who live and work there now. We liked the suggestions they made for local sightseeing.
Our guest room #11 was around the side of the house off the porch, in a very tiny addition. Our guest room was tiny, the double bed was comfortable but there was no drawer space or place to sit except the bed. If it hadn't been pouring rain we might have walked outside to go sit in the main house parlor and hang out.

The location was great - easy to get into town, but somehow shielded from noise. Easy to find parking.
Breakfast was fine - it got better on our second (of three) mornings when we learned that hot options (eggs, omelettes) were available. The inn provided lots of options for dining: community style, or more private on the sun porch or outside.
Both Joan and Lisa were very helpful with “local tips” for getting to and from Tanglewood, as well as where to park for easy egress.
While we expected (and got) a historic inn, we noticed quite a bit of deferred maintenance. For example, the window screens in our room were ill-fitting which allowed mosquitos and flies to enter, which had a detrimental effect on our enjoyment and sleep. While the price for the room may have been typical for Lenox, it seemed high for what we got.

We stayed here for our son's wedding ceremony which was held across the street. The staff was easy going and friendly. Although we showed up after breakfast was over, they offered it to us anyway.
Our bathroom was smaller than others.

We liked the interior and design of this hotel. It felt like we were staying in a palace. The breakfast was amazing. It's not only the food was exceptional, but there was also music playing and the fireplace lit creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests could choose items for the breakfast (we were offered eggs or french toast) which are prepared to order.
But more importantly, we liked the hospitality of the hosts, Lisa, and her parents. They were eager to answer all our questions about the area and gave recommendations of places to visit. It was very interesting to hear the history of the house and the residents who once occupied it. We spent amazing evenings sitting in the library drinking sherry and having wonderful conversations.
We liked everything. There are not many outlets in the rooms which is understandable as the house was built a long time ago.

Nicely furnished old historic looking home. The owner is a wonderful host and a pleasure to speak with. Nice quiet location very accessible to the center of town. Breakfast was good and plentiful; they will make hot items to order; the french toast was excellent.
Just because the house is old and historic doesn't mean the beds need to be, it was extremely uncomfortable. I'm sure the owner wouldn't sleep on the bed that we had. I don't want to create problems for the wonderful owner, he is getting the market price for a room, but it is highly overpriced in my opinion for what you are getting. I expected a lot more as to the quality of the room for the $326 we paid for one night. The room was old and tired, as was the bathroom.

It was definitely B&B so rooms were quaint but small. The breakfast part was fabulous. I was only there for a night so it was a clean, heavenly place to stay after a long day’s drive. They were also pet friendly which was a huge boon.
The room was a bit small but it truly was all I needed for one night.

Very nice breakfast. Your choice of eggs, pancakes, french toast plus the usual continental breakfast fare. Delicious coffee. Historic old house that was really interesting and fun to explore.
Nothing really.

Great location - easy access to Lenox Cultural Center. Across from a beautiful old cemetary. Great breakfast and conversation with the owners!

Interesting 19th century house run by a charming family. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The site picture does not do it justice. Good breakfast.
Can't think of anything.

A very well run, historic building(s) on about six acres minutes from historic Lenox. The old world charm contrasted perfectly with the entertainment opportunities of nearby Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Shakespeare & Company etc. Hosts were always available and breakfast was a delight. Interesting and varied clientele from a variety of regions and countries.
Climbing stairs (an age thing!).

The location was perfect for Tanglewood and Shakespear and Company -- and the nearby Lenox restaurants. The breakfast was ample and Lisa made items to circumvent some food allergies.
I walk with a cane. The stairs into the inn lobby and to the 2nd floor were difficult for me. I know this is common to B&B's, but I will need to look for a location with fewer stairs.

The property was peaceful and lovely, and the room where we stayed was very comfortable. There were lots of delicious choices for breakfast. The Inn is very close to Tanglewood (less than a 10-minute drive).
