A lovely guesthouse, a traditional house renovated with modern facilities, located in the middle of Patan's old town, it feels like you've traveled back in time.
It's difficult to adjust the temperature of the water. The ceiling is low, so be careful not to hit your head.

Close to Golden Temple and Unesco Darbar Square. Kind owners.
Some issues with the wc.

Wonderful traditional guest house . Yelos and the team were so helpful and made my stay very memorable. Including a lot of knowledge he and walking tour of the area . Very authentic experience

Location was great and staff mostly very helpful. Building is fabulous and you can forgive head height in rooms etc due to history or building.
Bedding was a little tired but clean. Room was quite dark due to shutters being permanently in closed position. No hot water and bathroom not the cleanest.
Room/towels/toilet roll/bin not tended to in 3 nights.

Hira Guest House is not a luxurious accommodation. It's in a historic Nepali brick and wood house that has low doorways, limited lighting in the rooms, and the occasional power outage. However, if you want to experience true Nepali courtesy and caring, this is the place for you. Manju and her staff were always ready to help any way they could. The breakfasts were great, a little different every day but always a fresh-made yogurt with fresh fruit available. The wifi was excellent. The bed was massive and very comfy. Finally, the location couldn't be better. Next to the Golden Temple and just a couple of blocks from Patan Durbar Square.
I thought the price was a bit high.

Breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel. They served continental type of breakfast with fresh hot eggs, french toast, coffee or tea, and delicious fruit and yogurt.

We had great stay in Hira.
The house is next to street, but it is surprisingly quite in the night, room is clean, warm, high speed internet.
The owner is very helpful, responsible for all of our questions. Highly recommend.

Manager/owner is very good and friendly and so is the young man who works there. The facility gave a taste of Nepali culture.
There was no water and toilet paper when I got there later in the night but the manager made sure to take care of those.

Authentic building with brick and beautiful wood throughout. The streets are very noisy but you step into the courtyard and it is so peaceful and quiet. The hostess was so helpful and thoughtful. We left for a trek and returned after and we felt like we were coming home. Our stay was such a wonderful experience

The building is amazing, the location is right in the heart of Patan old town.. A much more relaxed part of Kathmandu and less touristy. Manju was the perfect hostess, organising whatever I needed, taking the time to chat but also leaving me to explore on my own if that's what I wanted.
The 9pm curfew (although can be extended on request) was a little annoying. This is something done by the neighbours to be fair and the guesthouse are doing their best but still... Small annoyance.

Very good location and very nice people.
Electric plug.

Every thing was truly exceptional. Location, people and most importantly the vintage 300 yo property
Water problem

The old, traditional style of the building was cool. It was also located close to the Temple Square which was also neat.
Cleanliness was only average, the credit card machine was broken the entire state and we were never notified beforehand that we wouldn’t be able to use a credit card. Communication was also terrible. They didn’t know we were arriving on the day of our reservation, they continually thought we were checking out a day before our reservation ended, and there was very poor communication between the staff. Each day, one person would call to ask what time we would be returning to the guest house, and then later that night someone else would call and ask again even though we had already relayed the information. Every day they asked for payment for the full stay even though our stay had not finished, and the credit card machine was not working. They also have multiple phone numbers for the staff and the guest house, but frequently no one answered any of the numbers. So if Taxi Driver needed to know how to get to the property, or we needed any help, it was often more than 30 minutes or an hour before we could get a hold of someone. It would’ve almost been comical if it wasn’t so ridiculous. The staff were all very nice, but every single day at this location was frustrating. I wanted to love it, and be able to recommend it to others, but I can’t. It was cheap, but even with that, not really worth the price.

Breakfast was amazing, the staff were very friendly and it is in an prime position in Patan.

The welcome, the perfect location near the sites, the fact that both owners and staff went out of their way for us. The value for money. The privilege of staying in a glorious old building with such character. The breakfast was good. Lovely yogurt. Freshly cooked eggs and very good coffee. The most comfortable bed!!!!! All was very satisfactory. We were sad to leave.
Small thing perhaps....be aware when staying in such an incredible old building that it comes with some idiosyncrasies. The old staircases are steep and narrow. You may be on the 4th floor. But there is help with your luggage. The plumbing needs handling with care. But don’t let this put you off memorable experience.

The charm of the rooms. They are lovely and you are transported to another time.
The warm welcome we received made our stay memorable, and we would strongly advise you to eat the dinner there, as you will have the opportunity to chat with the tenants and taste their (amazing) cooking
Our room was a little bit humid, but we assumed it is the price to pay to stay in a 300 years old building.
