Hard to find gem of an apartment.

The apartment is nestled into a park behind the city. We arrived at night, it was a bit spooky. Entrance was through a keypad, we never met the hosts. It was a bit dissapointing to find out that there is currently no restaurant/cafe open. It is hard to say whether it has closed for good or will reopen? There isn't much to eat in the near vacinity. Clearly, much time and effort has been spent in renovating the apartments. The apartment was quite beautiful, with tall ceilings, lovely velvet curtains, wooden floor with underfloor heating, stunning bathroom. There was a small kitchen block, with cooking facilities, unfortunately, the small refrigerator did not work. There was a desk, but no table. The room is certainly large enough for a table. The location is in a park, clearly a very popular place in past times. Pets were permitted at 100 SKF per day. Best to arrive before dark, as it is pretty difficult to find the place, even when you're almost there. Google navigation coordinates and Apple maps are the best way of actually making it off of the motorway and getting the right exits. Best to go shopping at Tesco before you arrive.

The refrigerator didn't work. :( Mattress very thin, quite uncomforable. Easily solved with a Memory foam topper. No table for eating.

Superb

Room was very pretty, shower worked and looked fancy. Little kitchenette which was a nice surprise. Really beautiful room

Disappointing

Localised in the park.

I would say placing few old furniture does not give u the right to call it "design". Place is dorty and very old, electricts on the outside, hob not working so we ended up using an old rusty portable one, fridge quite loud during the night. Nobody is present during the night, no reception. Contact only via email, phone. Bed squeeky.

+ Good location. + Big free parking just in front of apartment. + Very modern furniture and bathroom + Pets are allowed

- Dirty walls in room - Kitchen furniture is not good quality - Bad ventilation in bathroom and shower is not comfortable for use. All water from shower comes on floor of bathroom (no any doors or curtain) - Cafe (bar) in front of apartment and can be very loud guests - Entrance to stairs to apartment is through public toilet with smell...

Beautiful place with some fixable issues

The pictures of the place are really great. The shabby chic decor is beautiful. The location is in a beautiful park with good connections (Anthropos) by bus to town and other places. There s a public parking area in front of the beer garden, which is on the ground floor of the rooms…which can be nice depending on the guests and hour of the night…

Uncleanliness, things the pictures don’t show, like oben lamp sockets above the shower, mold, holes, dirty toilet and dishes,….unfinished construction,….smell from the uncleaned public toilets downstairs … Nothing that couldn’t be fixed if attended to…

I was upset because of ants.

I like the comfortable bed and nice design in the bathroom.

it was very dirty. No electrical kettle, and usual one was extremely dirty with strange smell. Ants live in the door between the living room and the bathroom. Quite noisy in the evening. If you plan business trip (like me) this place is not suitable.

Historic outside, modern inside we still love this place!

It was the third time here and we love it! Much recommend to couples to have a quiet romantic weekend. Hope we can go next year too!

If design & extraordinary atmosphere beats everything, this is your place

If you like exceptional design, you will love this place. Moreover, the location is very unusual: The house is part of an old, may be fin-de-siecle, building complex in a park setting. Yes, romantic, may be even a bit morbid, and a bit spooky if you arrive at dark. Definitely quite a extraordinary contrast to the really well selected design elements inside. Automated check-in and communication with landlord very easy and very friendly. In contrast to some previous comments here, the apartment was absolutely clean

Depends how much you rate design over function and forgive functional flaws if the main thing is to look good. There is no arguing about design. BUT: * The bath, shower, and even the toilet, is fully transparent from the room (I had room #1) as the only separation is a sliding glass door. * The shower has neither a fixing for the shower head (you have to hold it all the time), neither a curtain or something. Hence, showering means wetting the whole bath * The mattress was really thin and lousy. Simply very cheap. And the bed was noisy. * No possibility to hang a coat or jacket somewhere (yes, there is a closet. But what if coat or jacket is wet?) * No cups but a sort of bowls for hot drinks. I'm not French! So difficult to find stylish cups? * Tea & Nescafe available. But no sugar nor creamer. Only half way, for penny items. * Location really difficult to find if arriving after dark. Although owners advised to use GPS coordinates only. But no sign or anything

Nice large room in a quiet area of town, some minor improvements would help a lot!

It's above a restaurant, so there will be some noise while the restaurant is open - in fact there was a band playing when we arrived right outside our window -, but after that, the area is super quiet, as it's literally in a park. Not even traffic noise. It's a bright room - quite bright also early in the morning because only thin curtains. This didn't bother us, though. The location is really a bit out of town - we had bicycles and there is a nice route to cycle all around the southern part of town, or indeed a cycling path on most of the direct route into town. The room is on the No 1 cycling route, which also goes to the lake/reservoir, so that was very nice! We did not meet any staff, but the email contact was very friendly and quick to reply, and self-check-in was easy. The payment in the restaurant also worked perfectly, the staff was friendly and had a note with our name and the price, paying by card or cash was possible.

The room looked nice on first viewing and it's quite big, but some things are just not well thought out. Especially the bathroom. There is a bathtub, which is nice, but no curtains or indeed anything to stop the water from splashing - which it does, because the shower hose leaks. So the floor was always wet. Additionally, there wasn't even a bath mat for the bathroom, so we had to throw one of the towels on the floor to be able to exit the bathroom with dry feet. There is an assortment of fancy cutlery and crockery, but no running water in the tiny tea kitchen, and the bathroom sink isn't really suited to washing dishes. We were told to take our bicycles into the room, but it's on the first floor, so in the end we left them in the ground floor, which is also the access to the toilets of the restaurant, (they are new and clean!), but the door is actually open most of the time. It would have been nice to have a solid bike bracket outside, or some lockable closet on the ground floor.

A stay in a unique surroundings of Brno

The location in the middle of the part was beautiful and quiet. The house and the rooms were uniquely refurbished in the original old stone building. The adjacent cafe/restaurant was lively with happy young locals popping in and out. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Pleasant

Communication with owner was without any problems. We traveled by car therefore location was not a problem for us. Apartment looks modern and good. Better cleaning would be appreciated.

Even thou apartment has its own kitchen, it is not equipped with dinner table or any other area you could normally eat. Also it was not very clean - dust was everywhere, also on dishes. Equipment of the kitchen is quite small but it is possible to cook in it. Refrigerator was not working properly.

The place itself is in a very nice location. Nice refurbishment of the old house. Love the windows and doors and design

Some hair on the bed linens that clearly is from some other guests or pets. Plus charging extra for having a pet with us while the cleanliness isn't perfect makes us wonder why are we paying extra.

Hide out in the park.

Great location especially with dogs. Comfy bed. Bath fits two :)

Some design elements indeed but could do with some better finishing and better lighting. Very warm and no thermostat.
