Set in beautiful surroundings. Only down side is that too far to walk to any amenities, and the pub has gone from the village.

Great location near a large reservoir with many local walking trails, quiet roads, and a sculpture park. A small grocery shop within 10 minutes walk. The check-in process could not have been simpler, and the owner was very responsive to our inquiries. We had a leak from the shower base, but it was fixed on the same day we reported it. The cleanliness level was generally OK but some of the dishes looked as if they were not properly washed recently - investing in a dishwasher would be great. The WiFi was quite OK, probably not for 4K streaming but enough for remote work. We enjoyed our stay and recommend booking directly, if possible, rather than via intermediaries such as HomeAway that charge extra fees!
