I wanted a hotel in Bayeux for my family (7 adults) that was convenient to all the attractions in the town. The Churchill website does not do justice to the hotel, the rooms were terrific (we had 4 rooms), and the Staff were absolutely fantastic. I speak French but my family does not, it was never an issue. There were great restaurants a few steps from the hotel so it was easy to satisfy everyone's desire for meals.
I didn't like the fact that I was sick (fever) during my stay, but accommodation made riding out my illness much easier. The bathroom was fantastic, with a great shower, a large room, and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bayeux.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was luxurious and the beds were very comfortable. The water pressure was great in the shower and the room was very quiet allowing us to have a good night's sleep.
I can't think of a thing.

Location was excellent

The location is excellent, right in the centre of town. Supermarket next door. Courtyard out the back.
Rooms were lovely & modern. Beds were comfortable.
Staff were friendly & helpful.
No kettle in the room. No lift.
4.1
Great location, and air conditioned rooms.
No elevator, and my room was above the outdoor smoking area. Noisy till about 10pm.
4.1
Perfect location and nice staff
No elevator and having to ask for help manhandling a heavy case up two flights of a circular staircase.
4.1
It was central to attractions. And hotel staff was helpful to guide us.
Parking was challenging, but staff helped us find parking which was free but a 10 minute walk from hotel.

The shower door was broken and I asked them to fix it at 8am and they didn’t even though we were gone for 12 hours. The evening staff indicated that due to the inconvenience they would give a deduction on my bill. The next morning a different staff person refused. I even took housekeeping to the room to show her that the railing was still broken and the entire fixture of the shower head was coming out of the wall.

Central location.
Staff were friendly enough, but not terribly personable. No help w baggage. I stayed here years ago, and while the updates are modern, it has lost a ton of its charm. I'd probably try to find another place in Bayeux centre-ville next time.

The communication with the staff was exceptional. We arrived late and Lise and Lou did everything in their power to ensure that we were able to find something to eat at such a late time when most restaurants were closing. The location was perfect and was in the very center.
Everything was prefect for what we needed. No issues.

Location is perfect, especially if you plan on a tour by van to the Normandy beaches. Pick up is right behind the hotel.

Location was right in the middle of things. Close to shops, restaurants, sights, etc. Tour bus stop is just a minute of two walk from the hotel. Our room was wonderful with a big, comfortable bed and a 2-part bathroom. The breakfast was quite good.
Noise from one of the bars was disturbing until we got out the earplugs.
Thought the charge for breakfast was high for what was offered.

Great location and friendly and helpful staff. Helped with suggestions and make reservations for dinner.
When arrived had no internet or American Channel TVs. Following day iternet was up, but for the 4 days, no TV. Breakfast was pricey 16 euros for cold cereal and pasteries. Had to ask for hot scrambled eggs. Just across the street we got an American breakfast with bacon, eggs and the works for 14 euros. They do have parking, but failed to inform us it was paid parking, got 2 tickets. No elevator.

set location was very good. It was an easy walk to the train station (even when we had to do it in torrential rains).
Our return train to Paris was canceled due to the rail strike. We had to reschedule for an 8 PM train. That meant we had between 10 AM check out and about 8 o'clock to spend in Bayeux. It was a Sunday and few restaurants were open and the grocery store next door was closed for renovations. Since the few restaurants they have don't open until 7 PM, that meant there was no chance for us to get a meal before arriving at the train station. We ended up sitting in the dining room of the hotel for several hours. There is no lobby, per se, and only the dining room, but it unfortunately did not offer any accommodations not even water. It was not particularly welcoming to sit in the frigid dining room for seven hours.

It was a very enjoyable stay with very helpful staff

sad that renovations were not complete…..a lot of the Churchill memorabilia was still in storage. But still a nice stay!

Room was finished to a high standard. Great helpful staff. Very good bed and shower pressure. 24 hour Free parking is 10 minutes walk. If you want to purchase a blue disc which allows you up to 4 hours free parking in designated blue marked bays, the supermarket next door sells them for 2 euros.

We had a hiccup with the room but the management did the right thing and credited us for one night and upgraded us. Much appreciated!
I have a disability - wish there was an elevator

Great location--just a short ride to the train station, and right in the middle of the city so it was easy to walk around to cafes, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was very good. The facility and room were nice and met our expectations.
Beware the stairs to the third floor, particularly when hauling bags!
