The hostel with their bright decor definitely stood out from the streets. We are also lucky to have been able to stay in a room with a mini balcony that looks out to it. Just next door to the hostel was an excellent halal pizzaria that welcomes supper goer.
The staffs are understanding and accommodating, helping me with safekeeping my luggage that was delivered from airport due to delayed flights.
We had a good match of Foosball with the friendly staff over there! Of course, it was after their working shift! :P
Great vibes all around~
The Balmer wrist band issued is not easily adjustable, rendering it difficult to remove at times.
As the season is reaching chilling temperature, the room heater is unable to cope with keeping the room warm, but we felt fuzzy though :)

The staff was extremely friendly and the hostel had very comfortable communal rooms. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at.

I liked the atmosphere, the place and staff! The staff were so kind and helpful, they even offer a bus ticket to you can explore Interlaken for your whole stayinf. I met many people and made friends for life. It was just amazing, I’d come back and stay again!
Well, the shower was small and the room didn’t have an airconditioner so it’s was really hot.

Great staff, fun environment, great location, clean room and facilities. We booked a private room.
The price is high, but good for Interlaken.

The location was so close to the train station.

Love the vibe. Love the house and its facilities. Love that the guests can cook. This helped us save some money as everything in 🇨🇭 is expensive.
Lastly, the receptionist was also nice and pogi (Filipino word 😉).
The loo? The toilet bowl could be improved. But I don't mind it. 🙃

The facilities and the level of comfort we felt here was 100% above our expectations! So many places to chill and make friends, a hot tub, newly renovated showers and bathrooms and even though there was a club on downstairs most nights we were there it was not nearly as noisy as we had planned for. Such a great atmosphere here and all the staff went above and beyond to help us! We made some really beautiful friends here :)
Also heaps of kitchen facilities and lots of space
The pillows were slightly uncomfortable in the dorms but they are being replaced as I know, so all good! And the bar was often unmanned and a little confusing but otherwise it was great

I liked that it was close to the train station and close to the outdoor Interlaken main base. I liked the decorations and the overall vibe of the place.
When people would come in at night you could hear them if they were being loud.

hammocks
everything else. it did not feel inclusive. The staff purposely did not extend my stay through Booking.com instead preferring to handle it one on one. I wanted to book another hotel with booking.com but it was already late.

It was at perfect location, owner and staff were pretty cool
The bed was little uncomfortable and like others say the pillow was way to uncomfortable.Need a better pillow for everyone I guess

fun hostel, enough space to be alone if you want, but also lots of places to meet people.
cleaning of the rooms could be done more often it became very muddy. also clearer signs where the bathrooms are

Lovely traditional/warm hostel feel with many private areas in the common area. Designed for people to meet in the common areas.
I was there when it wasn't very busy. I believe 200+ people checked out on the weekend. Not sure what it would be like with 200 people there. The kitchen would definitely been a challenge!
Can recommend for it's warm feel.
The current temporary kitchen was a very small (2-3 people max). Hope the new kitchen will be better.
The pillows were very thin and small, could do with improvement, at least double the thickness and bigger.

i was recommended this place by a friend and I am so happy that he told me about it! i went in January which was a low season but there was still a very good amount of people staying at the hostel. everyone staying there was AWESOME! this hostel attracts great energy and amazing people even locals come to hangout at the club downstairs! the staff was great and the owner was sooo kind. he even dropped me off at a place that he recommended to me because it was on his route and I appreciated that kindness so much especially since I was not having the best day. then he gave me chocolate and some life advice. i can’t imagine it in summer and can’t wait to go back to interlaken SPECIFICALLY for this hostel.

Balmers is just 11 minutes away walking from the Interlaken West station and about 15 minutes away from Interlaken Ost. The private twin bed room was very cozy and had a cool skylight which let in fresh air. The showers and public sink/toilet area were very clean and the showers had hot water with great water pressure.
Checkin time is pretty late at 4pm, but a nap on the cozy couches can tide you over if you need to wait...

Such a beautiful location, with a unique facilities and a very convenient bar/club. You will most likely meet some amazing people also staying here, whether you travel solo or with a group! I had the most amazing time.

As my first hostel experience I did not expect much but the hostel staff was nice and the common areas were really lovely. The kitchen was large and well designed. There were multiple areas where one could sit and work or eat. The coffee machine was a huge help :) There was a LIDL store about 800m away which was very convenient as food and drinks are rather expensive in Switzerland.
The rooms were very bare, almost like an army barracks. It was very very hot when I stayed here and the room had a floor fan which was not much help. The bathrooms were shared between men and women and they were not kept as clean as I expected them to be. The handwash above the basins on our floor was not replenished for the first 2 days even after repeated reminders to the hostel staff.
I stayed here on a Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday when the hostel does not operate it's kitchen or the bar. These are open Thursday to Sunday so obviously that was a bummer.
These may seem like small things but make a huge difference to the entire experience.

15 minute walk to either train station or the centre of town where all the restaurants are. Staff were very friendly. Place was clean enough. Communal kitchen had four stoves (hobbs)
Other guests were very loud till at least 2 am every night and behaved as if they were the only ones there. Music, showers, hairdryers, and all the lights on all night long. Even though we had a private room, walls were very thin
Showers were cramped and was difficult not get your towel wet. I suspect it's to encourage people to walk around naked, but I'm just guessing. Pillows were pretty thin and noticed mattress was rather stained when we took our sheets down

Had the 6 female dorm with my 3 other friends. i thought the entire hostel was so nice! Loved that there were even different rooms downstairs to relax in. The lady who checked us in and out was so nice & accommodating
