I am so impressed by this eco bungalow and I can only say I regret only being able to spend a night there as we have a pretty packed schedule. This accommodation is ran by an Australian and Indonesian, and its the perfect marriage of both cultures - from very authentic Indonesian styled huts to farm to table cuisine, it really feels like you're whisked away into a magical world with amazing food, a very cute stray cat called Jamal and a serene environment. I love this place.
Mosquitoes! There were nets but just remind yourself to be careful.

Le personnel était très accueillant et aux petits soins !
La suite était très agréable, très spacieuse.
Un lieu est très reposant et ressourçant, avec beaucoup en charme.
C’était super !

Food was great. Loved the rooms and gardens. Very clean. Great beds. Loved the chlorine free, fresh water swimming pool.
One room the water feature was too loud for sleeping. The small ceiling fan in the bed didn't work.

Yobbiekayu complex lays in a quiet village a few kilometers outside Yogyakarta. It is remarkable what an oasis of peace this place is just minutes away from hustle and bustle of Java, the most crowded island in Indonesia. It is close enough to visit Borodubur and Parambanan in one day, but do not miss out on batik paintig classes and a cooking class, also if available on a tour to an active volacano. Breakfast and dinners are fabulous. Villas are beautiful, very traditional and private. It is a great place!

Serene, beautiful property. Friendly, enthusiastic staff. Great selection of items on the restaurant menu. So much thought put into the design of each bungalow and the amenities - with little framed signs about the thoughtful details. Yabbiekayu was started by a couple who are experienced in the humanitarian relief sector and this clearly shows in how much care was put into the comfort and functionality and environmental consideration of the entire experience. Note there is no AC (I did find the fans and opening doors throughout the day to allow for plenty of breeze) and bathroom is an open air experience :)
The road leading to Yabbiekayu was closed for a day or two for repairs - no fault of the property, but I booked a Grab that got very confused. Tip: Take a look down the road to make sure it's clear before booking the pickup point, or call it to the intersection (a short walk away).

The ambience and the staff (mbak dewi) was very helpful and friendly.
The bathtub looked dirty. I felt there were some flakes on the bed. It is good if "tebah" is provided to clean up the bed.

The outdoor bathroom and the bathtub is wonderful, the side garden with the fish pond creates relaxing ambience and the wifi has a good connection.
The lighting inside the lodge is too dim. It is perfect for sleeping but not bright enough for doing activity inside. The step to the bathroom is prone to slippery for wet feet after shower. Should be considered for a safer step design especially for people with disability.

Good Menu for Breakfast. Not too much but oke. The taste is good, There is Indonesian and American Breakfast.
Too cold in the morning, no TV, no slipper.
