Little gem in great neighborhood. The price is right....

Great hospitality and funky atmosphere. Clean and friendly... Cooking classes were fun and full of good tips.. LIG is just a fun place to stay .liked the fact that it is not in most touristy neighborhood of Getsami but more working class. Very helpful and friendly staff and answered my many questions.

A little noisy on weekend from neighborhood but what the heck I'm 75.

Home away from home

The property is located in an ideal location - close to the walled city and center of Getsemani, but in a quiet street of Getsemani. Close to everything you are looking for as a tourist. Staff are welcoming and friendly and a special shout out to Jolie and Jose at the front desk. The breakfast was great all 3 days of my stay and the menu changes daily, the rooms are equipped with an AC, fridge and the wifi is strong. Water in the shower was luke warm but you don't really need hot water in Cartagena. The hotel has a warm, homely feeling about it and I made the absolute right choice staying there

If I have to nit-pick , I'd say the toilets and the basin were small.

Excellent!

Fantastic location, the room was great, with good A/C and a nice bathroom. The restaurant is good, and the prizes are fair. Breakfast included was a big plus and very good.

Lot of up and down feelings not expected for this range price

Located between Getsemani and the quay where you can leave for islands, there’s small restaurant where you can have breakfast and dinner, for fair prices. Overall good friendly staff and room with airco

we erroneously forgot one night, making 2 reservation. When we arrive the receptionist decides to go ahead in Spanish although I clearly say that I would prefer English. The day we discovered that, she announced our things are in the storage room. We got furious due to glasses throw on the bottom of the luggage, without thinking about possible value. They didn’t try to call us, only an email sent late morning ( early morning we gave the key and nobody asked us or remind to check out, but indeed still our fault). She informed us she will give us same room. When she realised that was our booking fault, although I was ready to pay, she hold a laugh and changed version. So we went to another place for one night. Same lady make a very small tentative to help us For a last minute request for islands tour( she reverted also to other guest saying is La semana santa), to discover outside there’s plenty of people offering service and info. First room was really to small for that range of price. Second day I asked to clean the bathroom as per indication in the bedroom, but was definitely not done ( waste paper bin still full) One night restaurant not available due to cooking classes

Don’t think twice book now for the best stay in Cartagena

Best hostel we’ve ever stayed in, great location, lovely homely atmosphere but no 1 is the staff they are the best SO helpful and accommodating! Massive shout out to the wonderful Jorge who owns/runs the hostel who is truly one of the nicest people we’ve ever met and really made our stay in Cartagena as he gave us the best advice and really looked out for us, ensuring we had the best time.

Honestly, 10 out of 10, what a great place!

- Very helpful staff to answer questions and give us recommendations, with at least one person available 24/7 at reception. - Food is great and varied, at a reasonable price. I quite liked that breakfast always included a bit of fruit. - Location is very central - They charged me twice without me noticing, and they were transparent and serious to tell me that and return the money. - They have a quick laundry service at a reasonable price. - They have portable water and coffee available at all times. - The property is pretty. - The rooftop is quite pretty and good to relax at the end of the day.

El personal es muy amable te hacen sentir en casa. El desayuno delicioso. La ubicación está perfecta si quieres descansar del bullicio nocturno de Getsemani y aún está cerca caminando de fabulosos restaurantes y atracciones. Debo decir que una de las chicas de la cocina resolvió mi urgencia ya que tenía una boda y el estilista que iba a arreglarme no llego a tiempo y rápidamente esta chica llamó a una persona y en cuestión de minutos tuve a alguien muy profesional que me ayudó a arreglarme para el evento. Estoy muy agradecida por estar tan pendientes de sus huéspedes! Esto es servicio al 110%!

Fab - would definitely stay again!

I had a fab stay here! The staff are amazing - so friendly and take the time to get to know you and chat. Thank you especially to Yuli, Jose. It’s nice that the breakfast is included and changes every day to give you a taste of different Colombian foods. Nice to have free (iced) water, tea and coffee available all day. Rooftop is a nice place to relax.

My room was a little noisy at night as it had a window to the street however I had earplugs so it was ok.

Sehr familiär und ruhig

Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es werden zum Frühstück immer drei Gerichte angeboten und ein kolumbianisches ist immer dabei. Die Dachterrasse ist wunderschön und auch der Ausblick, vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang. Frisch gefiltertes Wasser steht immer bereit.

Zum Morgen und zum Abend sind die duschen sehr nass gewesen und der kleine Teppich mit Wasser vollgesogen. Das liegt aber an den Reisenden.

Nice stay close to Getsemaní nightlife area

Friendly and helpful staff, aircon in rooms, nice breakfast, towels against a deposit. Walking distance to Getsemani nightlife streets and also to the historic city center.

Bathrooms could be bit better equipped but that’s just personal preference.

All great, especially the staff and food

Perfect location, unbelievably nice staff, very comfortable bed, great shower. But the best thing of all is the food - some of the best we’ve had in the whole of Colombia. We enjoyed both room service and eating in the restaurant, as well as breakfast - all were perfect. The first arepa I’ve actually found to be flavoursome! Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

The room was quite small and didn’t have windows.

Superb

Well located, steps away from the convention center and good restaurants, about 10 minutes walk to the clock tower. Close to the port. Easy to get around and great value for money. Rooftop terrace is awesome. Bring your reusable water bottles, they provide ice and cold water which is super helpful.

Free drinking water and coffee through the day and nice breakfast with few different options. Mattress was good and even i stayed in 10 person dorm, it felt more like normal 6 person dorm. A/C working day and night.

Lovely hostel in the heart of getsemani, but not luxury

The staff were friendly and the location is great… I became ill while I was staying here and they helped arrange a doctor and were very accommodating, letting me check out late. I really appreciated their help!

This is very much a hostel - we got a private en-suite room but the beds were tiny like camping beds, and we were put in a “deluxe” room that had no windows. It also smelt a bit stale.

Excellent value for the price in central location

Breakfast was great and the team was helpful and kind. I stayed in a private dorm, didn't set an alarm thinking I would wake up with the general noise from a hostel but overslept like I never did in a hostel. I's not a party place, but you can definitely meet people in the common areas and the location is central to visit Getsemaní and the city Centre. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it
