About this apartment rental
A graceful haven of gentility and tranquility with delightful garden views, peacefully situated to the rear of the 15th Century Gothic 'Palazzo Loredan Dell’ Ambasciatore' on the Grand Canal, with private water entrance. Considered one of the finest in Venice and oozing history from every pore, the Palazzo itself (birthplace of two ancient Doges of Venice - Leonardo Loredan (1501-21) and Francesco Loredan (1752-62)), enjoys a truly outstanding position between the Accademia Bridge/Academy of Fine Arts and the Ca’ Rezzonico Museum of 18th Century Art/ vaporetto stop, close to Campo San Barnaba and opposite Francois Pinault's Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art.
Impeccably decorated with dash and vitality and featuring carefully selected antiques from the owner's private collection, each shown to their advantage against a complementary backdrop of sunny Mimosa yellows, vivid Prussian blues, crisp white beamed ceilings and the deep, rich patina of polished hardwood flooring, Ca' Cerchieri Mezzanine offers generously proportioned accommodation for six and is located between the first and second floors of the Palazzo (a lift can be taken to the second floor, leaving one flight of stairs to descend on foot).
It offers air-conditioning throughout plus wireless internet connection and features a stylishly elegant yet cosy and very comfortable living room with deep, luxurious sofas, interesting artwork and restful views over the owner's private walled garden, a separate dining room and a modern, well-equipped and fully-fitted kitchen.
There are three charming and quiet double bedrooms, each with garden views and each ensuring a heavenly night's sleep - two with beautifully embellished double beds and finished in cheerful colours (the master bedroom having an up-to-date en suite bathroom with bathtub and separate shower) and a pretty third bedroom with two chintz-covered single beds. The two further bathrooms (one with bathtub and the other with shower) are modern, spacious and immaculately presented. Please note that in order to accommodate a slightly larger party, access to a further bedroom (simple in design and with a single bed) is possible at a surcharge of 50.00 Euros per night.
Are you a part of a larger group who'd like to stay close together at the Palazzo? Other apartments available at this prestigious property (which played host to the New Zealand National Pavilion at the 54th Venice Art Biennale) include Ca' Cerchieri 1, Ca' Cerchieri Terrace and the spectacular Ca' Cerchieri Piano Nobile and Ca’ Cerchieri Loredan.

The property impresses with its excellent location, spaciousness, elegant decor, and welcoming staff. The private water entrance and quiet surroundings add to the magical experience. Highly recommended for a memorable stay in Venice!

While European trips are such a wonderful experience, let's face it, they can be exhausting too. Long flights, crazy airports, hauling luggage... So when we got to Views of Venice, we were finally able to breathe, relax and enjoy our trip. The team made sure we had what we needed to truly appreciate Venice. They set up our transfer to and from the airport, met us at the gate, gave us an overview of Venice and restaurant recommendations. I'm so grateful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful palace. The apartment was beautiful and had all of the amenities. Catarina helped us arrange for a water taxi pick up and drop off which was key with all our bags. The air conditioning worked great despite the hot weather outside, We would definitely stay here again!

Location was great. Quiet spot of Venice but can still walk 15 minutes or so to main areas. Also a very large space. Lots of bedrooms and a big living room.

This is a great property on the Grand Canal. While there is no canal view, there is a small private dock next to the building. It is very centrally located, but also very quiet. The staff was very helpful in getting us taxis and working out logistics. We recommend it very highly.

Feels like a home from home. Excellent location on the grand canal with a garden view. Spacious and with character. Marta from views on Venice was extremely helpful in boat and restaurant reservations and always got back to us promptly.
Slightly better equipped kitchen

We were dropped off at the private entrance off the Grand Canal by the water taxi and were met by Caterina, who gave us the grand tour and her number in case we needed anything. Nice, historic estate. Comfortable beds. Plenty of room for the 6 of us (actually has 4 bedrooms and can fit 7!). Location was the best of all of amenities! This property will be on our list when we return to Venice and I will recommend to others!

The property was perfect! Katrina was wonderful meeting us, arranging a tour for the next day, arranging a car and driver to Florence, and water taxis to and from the airport. With the private water entrance we dropped right at our door! The whole experience couldn’t have been better! Thank you so much!

Dorsoduro is a wonderful part of the city to stay in. Not as busy as other parts of the city but it’s easy to get from there to everywhere you might want to go. The apartment with windows over the garden was perfect for our family of five.
I don’t think you need to change anything. That is why I continue to rent from you.

We had six adults and the space worked very well.
We were not sure how to get more supplies, or empty trash…I am sure if we had called the office they would have helped, but thought it could have been clearer.

I don't think this could have been a better location for us. This was the 2nd trip to Venice for 3 of us (all new for the other 3) and having a "dock" for direct drop off via water taxi from the airport was very nice, right at the front of the building. Definitely opt for this if good weather. Rachel was so easy to work with arranging several rides when needed including a night one with only 30 minutes notice for dinner (too tired to walk all the way). That was door to door! She was also very helpful with answering questions about local needs or interests. Excellent communication and was response at all times. The apartment itself was large and spacious with a family room area that had windows nicely open to the garden in back. The beds were all very comfortable and the setting in the palace itself was quiet and restful. There was plenty of towels and basic kitchen items that were useful. We did make use of the refrigerator. The location of the palace, being right on the canal, gives you the rare chance of standing on the Grand Canal edge and watching traffic go by. So fun. The location is also very quiet with a pretty decent grocery store not more than 5 mins walk (Conad City) and of course lots of place to get espreso. The only drawback, and understandable for this old of a building, were the steps.
There is an elevator that is helpful but very small, maybe fits two people max. A very good value overall. Don't hesitate to stay here.

The description of this apartment is not over stated. You don't just visit Venice you inhabit it. The style and décor truly enhanced out total experience in Venice. We are an extended famaily of 6 and the spaciousness and comfort was welcome after 6 days of touring other locations. The communication and welcome from the hosts was great.

Villa was terrific ! Location is just about the best you could want for Venice - central to pretty much all of the major districts and a good ‘home base’.
Property is very spacious, very clean and would definitely stay here again if returning to Venice.

Beautiful Venice Apartment
We were warmly greeted right as we were dropped off by the water taxi. The apartment is in a great location and had plenty of room for our family of 5. The host was very responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Air conditioning was wonderful during the heat wave. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful and comfortable
Excellent location, very comfortable, well equipped. We loved taking a private water taxi on arrival, and then how easy it was to take public transport back to the airport - just a 4 min walk from the apt to the public dock. Wifi was very strong at the apartment. We appreciated the full fruit bowl too and the ease of texting for help with transport and arrangements.
If two showers were in use at the same time it was lukewarm - but the towel warmer helped.

great apartment, great service
This was our third stay here. The service we received from Views on Venice was excellent, as always. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The Apartment is great for six people - its location allows the visitor to soak up the atmosphere of Venetian life.

Un appartamento perfetto
Ci e' piaciuto tutto...

Stunning property
The Palazzo in Dorsoduro was even more beautiful than we expected. Being right on the Grand Canal was very special and being able to ride up to the property in a water taxi was an amazing experience. The apartment is very roomy and comfortably accommodated 7 people. The renovations to the apartment were very thoughtful - the character was retained but the kitchens and bathrooms were updated and very nicely appointed. The location was another highlight. The neighborhood is beautiful and not overly congested with tourists. There are great food markets nearby and a beautiful square 3 minutes away that is lovely in the evening. It doesn't take more than 15 minutes to walk to the more standard tourist attractions (St Mark's, Doge etc), but it was wonderful to leave those areas behind at the end of the day and return to our peaceful area and apartment.

Fab location in the wonderful Palazzo Loredan
We have stayed here before some years ago. The apartment in the winter is lovely and warm, the bathrooms are warm and welcoming the bedrooms have fabulous beds with ornate headboards. The Lounge is comfortable and decorated with many interesting Venetian things.
A wonderful place to stay, very central to Dorsoduro and minutes from the Academia. You have great restaurants around you and also close to the Zattere and Giudecca. Overlooks the private garden so is a peaceful location.
As always fantastic service from, Daniela, Annalisa, Valentina and Marta. I never worry when I stay with Views on Venice as I know that any problems we have will be taken care of with great expertise and help and a very big smile. We had a problem where 2 of the party were ill with a flue virus and we were worried they may not be well enough to travel home, I had a long chat with Daniela about this and knew we would be looked after if necessary. Luckily we managed to get home.
But we will back very soon and are planning our return as I write this review. Go to this apartment you will love it. Filippo's team are fantastic we really love them !!

Gorgeous flat in great location
We loved staying in this flat in a palazzo, and returning to its warmth at the end of a long cold outing. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. It was also a fantastic location and arriving by water taxi to our own little jetty was the icing on the cake.

Unexpected spaciousness
This apartment is bigger than one expects, a sharp contrast with the usual "puffing" one expects. The owners have understated rather than overstates it. It is enormous...spacious anywhere but in Venice truly astounding. The hostess was very helpful, direct, knowledgeable and efficient in answering our questions and checking us in and out. The internet connection went down and it was fixed within only a couple of ours of our calling her. This is a great vacation rental. One warning: the elevator goes only to every other floor. If being able to avoid steps is an issue, be sure your unit is one that is on the landing onto which the elevator opens.

Great apartment in fantastic location
The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. It is located on the first floor at the rear of Palazzo overlooking the internal garden, so it is quiet even though you have immediate access to the Grand Canal. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff at Views on Venice were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this apartment to a family who want the comfort of an apartment and want to be centrally located and in walking distance of the major attractions of Venice.

The appartement was great and had a prime location
We greatly enjoyed our stay with Views of Venice at this appartement with a prime location. The experience started already at the airport where they had arranged (in agreement with us) for a boat taxi to pick us up and take us to the apartment. This is warmly recommended and gives you a sightseeing on the way in. The boat taxi let us of just outside the appartement and the historic sense of Venice was imidiate. The appartement was large, well performed combining history and modern functionality. It was nicely decorated and well situated for our two families. We loved it! Thanks for a great stay.

Great Apartment!
My husband and I travel with tow other couples who are longtime friends. We usually take cruises but felt that we wanted to stay longer in Italy than just a couple of days here and there. So we rented apartments in Venice, Florence and Rome. Our first experience in Venice was wonderful. The location of this apartment is in a quieter location of Venice, but is easily accessible to the vaporetto stop so we were able to go anywhere we wanted. The apartment has updated bathrooms. we enjoyed the ability so visit in both the living and dining areas. The only problem is that there are stairs from the elevator to the apartment- so I would not recommend this for people with disabilities-but there are stairs all over Venice!

Wonderful Property!
We have just left this wonderful property after a three night stay, but we should have stayed longer. It is everything that is advertised, quiet, spacious, clean and such an amazing location. You are in an old palace right on the Grand Canal in the Dorsodoro neighbourhood, but the way they have redesigned the space, it is amazingly quiet. It is very close to the vaporetto, a grocery store and a nice square with restaurants. We were trying to avoid the craziness of San Marco which was extremely busy and noisy. Venice can be difficult to navigate, but we were given an excellent map and the opportunity to ask how to get to various spots where we had tours, etc and this was so helpful (she marked it all on the map for us). In fact part of the charm of this trip for us was the Views on Venice staff who met us right at the front (water) door and explained how everything worked and where to find what we needed. We were so exhausted after a long trip through several time zones and this place gave us the space we needed to decompress, everyone had a corner to retreat to, if needed. I will say the wifi was excellent in the living room, but not elsewhere in the apartment. A nuisance, perhaps, but for us no big deal. One further item, we arranged our airport and train station transfers through the office and that was very convenient and they were all reliable. If you are looking for. Great place to stay in Venice, look no further!

Two weeks in Paradise
We recently stayed for two weeks in Filippo's three-bedroom apartment in Palazzo Loredan on the Grand Canal, near Ca' Rezzonico and Campo San Barnaba. We were joined by another couple, and all of us marveled at the comfort and spaciousness of the apartment. It is beautifully furnished with the contemporary (the plush sofas in the living room, for example) and the antique, and it's spotlessly clean. There are enough "personal" items like leather-bound books and good paintings to give it a warm, cozy feeling -- quite the opposite of the sterility of so many rental apartments -- and there are modern comforts like satellite TV and a good WiFi connection . Despite perfect temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s, we all had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the apartment in the morning.
The living room and all three bedrooms look out on a large, lovely garden, providing peace and quiet and a great sleeping environment (to which good mattresses and bed linens also contributed). The kitchen is small but has a dishwasher, five-burner gas stove with oven, and a full-sized refrigerator. We prepared breakfast here every morning and had fun fixing the occasional dinner with seafood from the Rialto market. The bathrooms are modern and surprisingly large, and there is good water pressure and plentiful hot water, which is not always the case in historic buildings like the palazzo.
The location of the apartment is among the best in Venice. We've spent a total of six weeks in Venice now, and I don't think I'd stay anywhere but Dorsoduro, which is centrally located and yet outside the most heavily-traveled tourist areas of Venice. The apartment is very convenient to the Ca' Rezzonico vaporetto stop, and close to the restaurants, bars, and shops in Campo San Barnaba and Campo Santa Margherita. It's about a fifteen-minute walk to the Billa supermarket on the Zattere.
I think the description and photos on the web site accurately portray this apartment, but they can't capture its sense of spaciousness or the existence of small details (like the wealth of closet space, complete with an abundance of hangers) which help make this such a special rental. Nor can they capture the courtesy and gracious hospitality of Filippo, who made sure that every request (such as another large Moka) was immediately taken care of. Altogether an enchanting apartment and a perfect host in the most enchanting of cities!
