Ocean Apartment is a Grade II listed building, it dates back to the 1700’s. It has bags of old charm and character, but tastefully renovated into a superb 4 bedroomed apartment situated right in the middle of the town centre and just 50 yards from the beach - it has the best viewing window for watching the world go by up the Esplanade.

The property is deceptively huge, and is made up of two old properties. Circa 1500 sq ft, the living area on the first floor is extremely spacious.

The property boasts original fireplaces and no less than 12 sash Windows. The property enjoys panoramic views up the Esplanade. They can be enjoyed from the armchairs in the curved bay window in the dining room. As to the Lounge which has views down into the town centre.

The property has 4 bedrooms, these are situated on the top floor, the apartment also has the added use of a double of bed in the lounge area. The modern contemporary bathroom (also situated on the top floor) has a large free standing bath situated in the middle of the large bathroom, it also has large walk in shower, along with a wash basin and WC.

The first floor has a large inviting dining area, with bay windows giving you access to views up the Esplanade and into the town. The open plan design leads you into the large kitchen area, this is very well equipped with Fridge/freezer, Double Oven, Microwave Oven, Dishwasher, Washing Machine and Tumble dryer. The large lounge also leads off from the dining room, this too has bay windows. On the first floor there is also a separate washbasin and WC.

Weymouth is situated halfway along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site on the Dorset coast. Weymouth Harbour is home to pleasure boats and private yachts, and nearby Portland Harbour is home to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, where the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games were held.

I booked this property to celebrate my 50th with 7 friends. From the initial booking Louise was so helpful and responded straight away to any queries I had. This property accommodate us all without feeling crowded. The 2 separate reception rooms were great and very spacious. There is just one shower and bath, but this did not cause problems with our party of 8 women, just a bit of planning was needed. The whole property was clean , presentable and well equipped. Towels were provided, but I would recommend taking an extra one as this was quite small and only one per person provided. The location of the property was amazing ! Within a few minutes to the harbour, beach, restaurants and shops. This did mean that there was some late night and early morning noise outside but due to the location, this is expected and wasn't a negative in my opinion. We never needed the car throughout our stay. We parked in the railway station car park for 4 days at a cost of £16.40 and it was only a 5 minute walk away, we dropped luggage off outside the property first. I would highly recommend this property to families and groups and I would definately book again.

The location is close to most nearby attractions and 30 seconds away from the ocean front. The property is well maintained and clean but make sure to organise use of the shower is coming with a large group. Overall there is little to nothing wrong with the property except maybe a few items that seem a little flimsy.

Fantastic location, very clean. Great space in the apartment especially for the children. Only a few small issues, the shower doesn't drain properly and needs something to stop it being so slippery. The stairs definitely need a gate, we had a 3 year old with us and the stairs are very dangerous. A couple of the beds need better mattresses. We would definitely come back as long as there is a gate for the stairs. Much better than a b&b especially as you can cater better for the kids and there is space for them to play on a rainy day.

We’ve just come home from a lovely week at this accomodation. Perfect location opposite the sandy beach and plenty of space for the 8 of us with everything we needed. Only downside is the parking availability, on arrival it took over an hour driving around to park one of our cars but once they were parked we left them for the week as everything is so close by, this definitely wouldn’t put us off returning again!
