Holy and her husband made us feel very welcome and had tons of advice on things to do and places to go. We ended up spending more time at the apartment than running around we were so comfortable.

Our group of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) enjoyed our 2 night stay in Holly and Mark's cute apartment. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and the small kitchen allowed us to save on restaurant meals. Holly communicated with us early and often, letting us know everything we needed in order to find and enter the apartment. She allowed us to drop off our stuff early (prior to check-in) so that it didn't have to sit in the hot car all day. Loyola Park and its beaches are just a few blocks away (easy walk) and the Metra station is very close for trips downtown. Rogers Park is a lovely area and we felt quite safe, even walking home from the Metra station late at night. Thank you Holly and Mark!

This was a great apartment that met my husband’s and my needs. From the proximity to the grocery store, restaurants, CTA stations and beach!
Felt safe the whole time.

Awesome host and minutes to downtown
The apartment was clean and comfortable, and Holly is awesome. She was very responsive, helpful and took care of our every need. When we noticed a minor inconvenience (a plug by the bed to charge a phone) it was taken care of in the blink of an eye.
Super convenient location. We used this as our base to explore the city - 3 minute walk to the Metra train, which takes us into downtown Chicago in 20 minutes. The immediate Rogers Park neighborhood has a lot of charm too, with a lot of eateries within walking distance.
Parking on the street was easy to find. The only issue was that a passing car hit our mirror and damaged it. Advice would be to fold it in and park close to the curb as possible. Holly was again helpful by lending us some tape to hold it together for our trip home.
We would happily stay here again on our next trip to Chicago and look forward to seeing Holly again!

Great place. Totally enjoyed our stay.
Great, cozy place. Nice neighborhood within walking distance to many good ethnic restaurants. Everyone was super nice. Holly was extremely attentive to every communication. Just wish VRBO didn't tack on so many fees and taxes, but not the fault of owners. Felt very safe the whole time.

We were a little nervous about the size of the unit given our group is a bit on the large side, but it was exactly right for what we needed for the weekend - mainly just a comfy place to sleep after a long weekend of exploring the city. It was nice being out of the hustle & bustle of downtown and having easy (free) street parking as well!

10/10 would recommend
Charming 3rd floor apartment, smells like a library or bookstore 📚🥰. Holly thought of everything while furnishing and supplying the apartment with everything needed for our stay. The house is very quiet, rarely heard footsteps or doors. Holly and Mark are available and very helpful, with excellent recommendations for food. Tons of wonderful restaurants in walking distance. Safe neighborhood. We will remember for future trips! Thank you!

Chicago gem
Our favorite place to stay in Chicago. Owners, Mark and Holly, go out of their way to make sure our needs are met. Very relaxing place to return to after a hard day of work.

Perfect spot for apartment hunting
We were in Chicago to find my son an apartment on the North side, and this was the perfect home base for exploring Rogers Park and other neighborhoods - close to Metra and the L, very walkable, and near restaurants and shopping. Holly and Mark were the perfect welcoming hosts and made us feel right at home!

Nice Stay in a Cozy Package
Property is exquisitely clean and much appears recently installed. Furniture and beds comfortable. Plenty of linens and quality blankets. Plenty of hot water for shower.
Owner has spent time and thought in decorations and furniture selection for comfort and work space. Owner is very good communicator and attentive to guest. An outstanding Host.
Although the space is small it worked well for the two of us. We used the kitchen solely for breakfast, but it can also has large Microwave and small toaster oven and small refrigerator.
Access to this unit is up two flights of stairs, the second of which is narrow and winding, but with sturdy hand rails. I would not recommend for someone who can not pay attention or who does not have the balance or strength to go up this type stair.
We would stay here again if available.

We loved our stay at this unique spot. The quirky artwork and homey feel was so much better than a hotel. Great location, quiet neighborhood and very welcoming hosts. We will definately be back!

Very clean and comfortable apartment that was perfect for our needs!
I traveled with my sister and a friend to visit my daughter, who lives in Chicago. Parking was available on the street, and the one time it was not, we took advantage of the owners’ offer to park in their driveway. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The owners were lovely. We discovered new sections of Chicago while we were there. I highly recommend this reasonably priced rental property!

Parking was easy. The host were nice, accommodating, and helpful.
The apartment was a bit noisy and not super clean.

Cozy, charming apartment in West Rogers Park
I rented Holly and Mark’s apartment to attend my high school reunion, which was located close by. A high school friend joined me part of the visit.
I rented a car so I can’t comment much about access to public transportation but I know how well-located the apartment is.
The apartment is on the top floor of a big house, surrounded by big trees, big homes and well-kept apartment buildings. Quiet yet safe. It is actually fun to walk around the neighborhood and enjoy the Chicago lifestyle. People actually said ‘Good Morning’ when I passed them on the sidewalk!
The Owners did everything possible to make us feel at home. Nothing is fancy but everything is clean and in good order.
At the last minute my plans changed and I had to spend an extra day - no problem.
Delightful art and books are provided for your pleasure. I recommend the apartment whole-heartedly and you have your own private entrance.
The only issue that might affect a person’s rental is that the apartment is 2 flights upstairs.
Thank you to Holly and Mark for making my reunion even better.

Hoomey, comfy and the perfect place for home-base for our Chicago trip.
First, Holly and Mark were wonderful! There when you need them for advice on how to get around and what to do but not intrusive at all. The apartment was 1 block from Metra train that takes into the city quickly on weekday mornings. The L is a few block farther but the red line takes you right into downtown. Also, a short walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants around. The place was very compfortable and with a nice balcony for coffee in the am ot cocktails in the pm.

Greatness!
This property was immaculate, in a great neighborhood, close to transportation, and the hosts were outstanding! Highly recommend. It was also half the price and at least twice the size of any downtown hotel room.

Amazing week in Chicago!
Me, my husband, and our 2 daughters (ages 8 & 11) truly enjoyed staying in this cozy apt. Mark and Holly were AMAZING hosts, beyond accommodating, caring, and doverall good people. The apt was spotless when we checked in, no weird smells, and everything we needed for the week, including beach supplies, which we truly appreciated. Amazing location, convenient to all things Chicago! Thank you so much Holly & Mark, we will be back!
