Superb

Spacious room, with all the essentials, separate area with a desk and sofa (could be used for work), big window with a glass door direct to a common but discrete area. Great walk-in shower as well. Tennis court is alright, pool area is good. There is even a mini-golf circuit, all free. The staff is pretty helpful and friendly (although one the receptionists keeps a straight face the entire day)

Snooker table is expensive (12€/hour) and the room is narrow, there is no space for shots on the side of the table, cue keeps hitting the wall

Very poor

Independent houses were nice and property was quiet and peaceful.

Room was not cleaned properly. Hair on bed from previous guests. Stains on curtains. No water or beverages in fridge. AC was not working properly.

disappointing and poor value for money.

Where to start? parking was absymal, the drive way was that steep it damaged my trailer. my shoes ended up covered in mud and crap, the place was deserted with no lights. I genuinely thought i had booked a stay at a closed hotel. when i found reception i was booked into a room that had already been slept in. This was rapidly resolved by the hotels only saving grace (the staff) but the following room was cold and damp feeling. it took a while for the room to heat up and I eventually woke up about 3am roasting as i had left the heating on. The stay was topped off the following morning with a cold shower. Over all the staff were friendly and the hotel itself is not bad but i think they are in the middle of a renovation and running with a skeleton staff. ideally they should shut the door and open when everything is working rather than charging people to stay somewhere that currently is sub par.

excelent stay

nice clean spaces, good swimming pool. The mini golf was a lovely surprise and not expected.

Very well maintained. sofa bed was not the most comfortable but perfect apt for a weekend.

Good

Staff were kind and helpful. Everything was really clean. Kids loved the pool and the crazy golf. There were bicycles to get around the hotel site as its so huge.

The pool was not heated. The hotel was not serving lunch or dinner but did provide info on local restaurants that could deliver. Felt more like a b&b than a fully functioning hotel. There was no table tennis.

Very beautiful place in the middle of a vineyard, huge and comfortable rooms, good breakfast.

The works just in front of our room started everyday at 8 in the morning.

I booked 5 rooms for older people via my booking app. I informed Lousada Country Hotel via several emails that I was making these reservations not for myself but for other people. All the persons slept in the hotel but the hotel did not make the association between the persons and 2 of the rooms. Conclusion: the hotel charged both my card and the persons regarding these 2 rooms. I complained but the hotel management says they are not responsible for making the association, despite my emails.

Once works completed, the property will be fabulous and we'll get back

The property looks quite promising with the civil construcion works ongoing. The gardens and pool look great and quite spacious. I . Reception was great and the recommendation for lunch at "TROCA NOTAS" fabulous.

2 issues easily repairable: a) blackout curtains are clearly insufficient - morning starts earlier than you expect :-), and there was a chaming little window on top of the bed that we had to cover with pillows :-); b) the breakfast buffet was closed for a football team, which left us with little options in response to the kind attendant;

The distances inside the hotel are long, as well as the one to th3 town, if you don't have a car it's quite difficult to move around.

Awesome location, clouded by the attitude of the staff and the poorly equipped rooms

- Attitude of staff (every request seemed to be a burden, mails were ignored) - Equipment of rooms (3 clothes hangers for 2 people, phone without electricity cable, no iron, 1 air conditioner didn’t work properly)

It is a beautiful seting.

If you do not like humid smell in your room, then do not come here. The room was smelling very humid, and it dark with little windows (which is the building style, fair enough). The bath was not flushing well. Internet worked the first day, but not the second day. The restaurant was not working at night, still due to covid-19, even though that is now behind us. Breakfast is rather simple with not much choice.

Beautiful settings but sadly sleeping wasn't!

The hotel was in a beautiful place within its vineyards. A staff member at the restaurant was very nice and helpful with the breakfast service.

For me, sleeping was an issue the bed was uncomfortable and the noise from the rooms next to me,( very thin walls!)

The location and comfort of room, although there were some humid spots in the room and closets.

Most staff were not friendly and welcoming. Breakfast system of having to stay up on a line and order the staff to get the food was really awkward. It felt like being in a Subway line waiting to get your sandwich made.
