Great location for playing golf at St. Andrews. Seagulls were noisy but that is an issue everywhere in St. Andrews

Great house
This is a very nice house in a great location for visiting St Andrews. It was well equipped, clean, warm with essentials such as toilet paper and sponges etc supplied. I would highly recommend it.
The only downside is the key collection, if you arrive late and have to collect from outside St Andrews not ideal, though they kindly dropped the key off with our daughter in St A so we got around that.

Spot on when it comes to location!
As I get older (47) I get more comfortable and this time my expectations were not met. The beds are narrow and squeaky. We lacked furniture to be able to sit out the back in the cozy garden. There was no coffee machine, five Swedes drink a lot of coffee, then it is not enough with a 3-cup milk frother as replacement ... There was a lamp missing at the dining area which was also quite cramped. There are problems of addition and exhaust air as well as moisture. have experienced that in other houses as well. A clear instruction to set a low heat around the clock that keeps the air a little drier would have been much appreciated. Our towels, which were of very good quality, did not dry overnight unless they could fit on a towel dryer. There was room for five people in the house but only one large towel dryer. Have been in St Andrews for nine years straight and I never had to go to pick up the key to the house or have to pay extra for someone to meet me, we will never do that again. And one final call, if you plan to visit St. Andrews during the summer, remember to bring earplugs! The place is roaring by seagulls and they like to bring noise at night.

Great location.
The Hayward cottage was in a great location. The house was clean and the accommodations were comfortable. For 5 guys it is a bit tight but worked really well for a golf trip.

St. Andrews Golf Outing
The property was as advertised. Location was ideal. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs as well as a number of the St. Andrews Links courses. My only concern before arrival was parking since there is none available on property. That proved to be a non-issue. There is plenty of street parking available for a nominal parking fee and it can all be accomplished via an app for your phone.

Absolutely perfect location, especially if you’re Golfing at St. Andrews.
Great location, well stocked home. Parking was a bit of an issue, but otherwise perfect.

Great Experience
Super location in the heart off all restaurants and pubs. 8 minute walk to the Old Course and apparel shops. Comfortable house with good water pressure for showers. Internet was on the fritz for our entire stay but that was the only complaint. Would highly recommend. Thanks..

Great stay for week of SA golfing
Heywood Cottage could not have been better. Great location: 5 blocks from first tee on Old Course and an even shorter walk to great shops and restaurants. Comfortable and exceedingly charming. Loads of drying options after washing clothes (inc. ingenious drying rack suspended from high dining-room ceiling). Kitchen fully equipped, inc. lovely table cloths for the occasional home-cooked dinner. Minor drawbacks (no biggies) - if you have a car and are at home during the day, you have to "feed the meters" and tight entry-walkway when carrying all luggage/clubs.

Lovely attractive house in the centre of St Andrews
Heywood Cottage is a lovely comfortable house set back off one of the main streets in St Andrews, and is near to all of the shops and attractions. Everything is of the highest standard, and the house is beautifully furnished and very clean. My friends and I stayed when the weather was cold, but the house was always warm. I would highly recommend this property.
