Lovely staff and helpful with ideas on what to do on the island.
Don’t get laundry washed as it costed us €150 for a garbage bag of laundry.

View is great. Alexandra at front desk was very helpful. ( I hope I have your name correct)
Breakfast was not so good. Same things everyday. no variety. No Greek dishes. There is Kettle in the room, but no tea bags were provided. When I requested tea bags from front desk, I was asked to get it from breakfast room, but person there flatly refused.
There was construction going on at all levels. Hotel was not ready to receive guests.
Lots of stairs to go up and down

Check in staff was great (Mr Poseidon), he even met us at our taxi in night rain. Complimentary waters and slippers were appreciated. View was awesome, sunset was not to be missed. Housekeeping was thorough. No major complaints at all. Breakfast was above average but staff wouldn't let us take breakfast to our room.
Minor minor things were bad. Blue room lights wouldnt go off. Door was hard to lock. Room was wet and humid after rain, floor got real slippery. Remote for air conditioner didn't work. No TV channels, but they had Netflix and YouTube (systems went down in rain).

nice pool, with the exception of having zero umbrellas
the smell in our room, the location wasn’t great as we had to walk down pretty far to our room and the nightclub above was very loud until 6am

staffs are kind there. and the view from balcony is gorgeous.

Modern and comfortable facilities, very big room with stylish design. Nice caldera views from every corner of the hotel: communal terrace, breakfast floor, restaurant floor, from room not so much as mine had communal terrace in front, but still nice. Bar definitely pricey, 7eur for a 33cl not imported local greek beer. Very young but still friendly and experienced staff.
Reception often empty.

Everything about my stay was incredible ! The staff were so helpful, the breakfast was great and the room wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. There was an incredible view of the caldera from the room and private terrace. Great cocktails at the hotels bar ! 10/10, can’t wait to return !
Everything was perfect, there was nothing that I didn’t enjoy !

This hotel offers unobstructed view of caldera and is 5 mins walk away from Fira bus station. Breakfast is also good.
The shower head was not working properly in our washroom.

- The view, the site, the price. The hotel ist situated right in the middle of Thira with an overwhelming view on the caldera.
- The staff is really nice, friendly and obliging. I was travelling alone, but they gave me a good, familiar feeling and a warm welcome. Every day there was a kind woman to clean up my room. I really don’t know, where some of the bad comments concerning the staff came from. Maybe ist just a matter of „The way you shout in the wood, it will come back." (To try a bad translation of a german saying)
- I loved the room. The whole hotel is build in a „typical cycladic“ style. That means: a labyrinth of stairs and terraces, from where you reach your rooms. I love it! The rooms are built directly on (or in parts IN) the mountainside. Thats why, you have a special kind of climate in these rooms (which seemed to be a perfect therapy for my asthma – it was blown away after one night). Maybe it was these kind of „earthy“ smelling, that some persons in the comments described as „fusty“. Don’t know. Anyway: if you don’t like it – just open the door and windows and it‘s gone.
- And yes: because of that architecture you get the light only from the frontside. But in spite of that it didn’t feel dimly for me. And, a nice advantage: you have a constant temperature in it (even without using an aircondition – but of course there is one, if you need).
- Interior: it is also „cycladic style“: in a pleasant way simple, many things of the furniture are made of stone, directly masoned on the wall (bedstead, bench, shelf). But it’s combined with modern elements (f.e. the lamps) and some lovely, special local elements (the olivewooden frame of the mirror, the wash-bowl, made of a volcanostone).
- Altogether: for me, it was a perfect holiday in a friendly, nice, clean and really pleasant hotel. I’ve been to greece now for 40 years each summer and I didn’t expected to find such a kind (and in price-performance absolutely appropriate) place in the middle of Thira.
- Advice for grumblers: Yes, it’s not Hilton. If you expect Hilton-Style – pay 300,-€ more the night and search for something like that. But if you search for a really good, friendly and beautyful place in this town (in my eyes one of the most beautyful cities on the islands) – you can find it here.
