Lots of Kangaroo, privacy is good, lots of space for the dogs to play. It was very quiet, and all the necessary facilities were available. The aircon was not working in one of the cottages, they responded and came to fix it immediately.
The gravel road to reach the Hideaway cottage :-). The pictures don't stay but the cottages are pretty old and kind of worn out. It needs a good reno, especially the bathrooms.

The location and privacy is really good, the beds were very comfy (and i work in beddings) the towels and sheets were really clean and smelt fresh. The fridge was spotless. Kangaroos were so cute but they stay away. No bugs were found inside and the fireplace heater made it feel like a real fireplace.
Bathroom a little outdated but still clean

The wide open spaces, it was very good for young kids as we didn’t feel like we were disrupting people. They could ride bikes and explore.
The cabin needs a little updating and the signage out the front could use some more lighting as we missed it several times during our stay.

the cottages were comfy and nice love seeing the kangaroos and beautiful birds in their natural surroundings!
a new housing estate being built close to the cottages

We’ve been visiting Hunter Hideaway for around 7 years now. Originally we went back because it was clean and dog friendly, but now we return because of the hospitality and the coziness that the cabins have taken on. We love the serenity of Hunter Hideaway and it’s been a joy watching them transform over recent years into really comfortable, well equipped cabins suitable for human kids and fur kids alike.

We enjoyed our stay and the cabins rustic feel.
The screen on the entry sliding door needs repair, the ironing board was too small and the air conditioning didn't turn on. The noisy neighbours in the ceiling at night was a little getting use to :)

We had a beautiful weekend away from the city. The cabin was lovely, warm and cosy and had everything that we needed and more for the stay!
The light did not turn on in our bedroom, however there was a bedside lamp that did so it was ok!

Super comfy beds, lots of space for the kids to run around outside.

Beautiful little cottage that felt very secluded and gave great privacy. Perfect little cosy getaway.

good heating. the Roos, comfortable beds,
no spare blankets, the view and noise of heavy earthmoving machines at neighbouring property, potholes and poor driveway, lighting on verandah was not working, stained tatty carpet tiles, overall cabins need updating and because of neighbouring development it was definitely not a hideaway

Great peaceful location, yet very close to major wineries and the gardens. Comfortable and very clean with great facilities and beautiful scenery.

Nice quiet location with lots of outside space.
Unfortunately it rained a lot and we almost got stranded there.
Access via the gravel road in the wet was not good.

Our little Hyundai didn't like the gravel driveway/ roads

THE COTTAGE LOOKED TIRED AND IN NEED OF A RE-STAIN
SHOWER WAS TOO SMALL
HAD TO CLEAN THE BBQ BEFORE LEAVING OR BE CHARGED EXTRA.!!I THOUGHT THAT CLEANING SHOULD BE COVERED IN THE RENTAL COST????

The property is in a great location, close to vineyards and nestled in bushland. The cabin has the basics covered (tea, coffee and milk) plus facilities for a private BBQ. The cabins are quite private and set on a small property which is great for allowing our dog to explore without the concern of traffic.

The location is incredibly beautiful.
The value for money was subpar, unfortunately. There were cobwebs everywhere. The outdoor furniture lacks comfort.

Everything was good we enjoyed 🙏
We didn’t get any tissue paper at the cottage at all

the peace and quiet and the cottage was perfect with what we needed would definitely stay again

Bed was uncomfortable hard and sheets not wide enough for bed. Carpet filthy, was not sure what the stains were.
We could not use the saucepans or frypans, as biggest stink in cupboard. Used bbq provided but as you would expect even after cleaning on the 2nd morning rat poop was on it. Enough. Also no toaster was there. Keys provided did not unlock back door, my husband after surgery had to climb through window to open doors.

It’s quiet and private in beautiful surroundings
