About this house rental
This spacious and versatile property offers a great choice for your family holiday or a getaway with friends. A short walk into the village and good access to the famous surfing beach, Montague Farmhouse provides all you need for an enjoyable stay! This property is so magnificent that it has in fact been featured in The Times! https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/a-weekend-in-croyde-north-devon-kkgv9kcrgzb Cooking/Dining The kitchen of the property is a fantastic size and boasts a contemporary design. It is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including a large American fridge/freezer, electric oven and induction hob. There is ample space for cooking and dining, with a solid wood breakfast table and bench seating for 10 guests. There is a day sofa next to bi-fold doors that lead out to a small courtyard area. There is a separate utility room with a sink, dishwasher, washing machine and cupboard storage. Living Rooms The property has two lounges. The large mid reception room provides ample space for family relaxation and entertainment - there is a dining table with chairs for 6-8 people which provides the ideal space for a good game of cards or a family board game! For those who prefer to relax whilst still being in the 'hubble bubble' of family life, there are some comfortable arm chairs and a sofa next to the wonderful open fire place. A tv is also available in this area. The separate formal living room providing restful seating for 8/9 people with an attractive feature fireplace (unfortunately not in use) and a flat screen smart TV - perfect for keeping the little ones entertained between activities! This room has the benefit of overlooking the garden. Sleeping To the first floor there is a very large master bedroom with a double size canopy bed, ample wardrobe space and an en-suite bathroom. To this floor there is a further double bedroom with a Queen size sleigh bed, a twin bedroom and bunk bedroom with additional single bed. Bathing There is a shower room to the ground floor with wc and washbasin. To the first floor there is a family bathroom with electric shower over the bath, a separate wc plus the en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom which also has an electric shower over. Outside Outside there is an enclosed garden with outdoor dining table and chairs for 8 people plus 2 benches and a coal BBQ for guests to use. There is a good amount of storage for bikes/surfboards. Parking is suitable for 1 large or 2 small/medium cars on the driveway plus an additional road-side space for a small/medium car. If you require additional parking, the village car park is a 2 minute walk and a weekly permit can be purchased. Please note: this property is for family holidays only and does not accept all adult groups. The property has BT Halo Wifi Bedroom Configuration: 4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 9 Bedroom 1 - Double bed (sleeps 2) Bedroom 2 - Double bed (sleeps 2) Bedroom 3 - Twin (sleeps 2) Bedroom 4 - Single bed and bunk beds - Sleeps 1 adult and 2 children (sleeps 3) Please note: this property is for family holidays only and does not accept all adult groups. BOOKING INFORMATION Please note that you are booking via an external channel and not directly through Ocean Cottages, therefore any information not provided directly from Ocean Cottages cannot be fully relied upon and pricing may differ. Please check payment and cancellation terms prior to confirming your booking. There is a refundable security deposit of £200 payable with the final balance (not applicable to Airbnb bookings) - please note this will not be shown in the total cost of the booking on the summary screen. The security deposit is refunded within 14 days of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection) Full payment is due if arrival is within 10 weeks. For bookings made 10+ weeks in advance a deposit of 50% plus the £60 non-refundable booking fee is due. The final balance and security deposit (if applicable) is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. For Bookings confirmed with VRBO, Ocean Cottages will take your payment prior to confirming your booking, this could be up to 72 hours after receiving your confirmation from VRBO. If we are unable to accept your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. Airbnb take payment on our behalf and pay us after your stay, they will confirm the dates and amounts due when you make your booking. It is not possible to add any extras when booking via VRBO/Airbnb and therefore the costs of any extras will not be included within the price shown, extras must be requested and paid for directly with Ocean Cottages. Available Extras: - Highchair - One highchair supplied free of charge - Travel Cot - One travel cot is supplied free of charge (upon request) Pets - not allowed This property is accessed via a keysafe. An email will be sent 14 days before arrival, providing you with the full address, directions to find and keysafe number.

This house was very large, clean and spacious for 11 to stay very comfortably. The village of croyde is very charming, with good food but may get overrun by surfers in summer months, late May was ideal. Couldn’t ask for a better stay in Devon.
