Amazing location right in the heart of Kuching. Colonial style lodge, quaint but very comfortable.
Some noise from nearby bars at night

Beautiful historical property. Great central location. The Granary is a good place to eat and lots of choices around. Good communal spaces. Stanley on the front desk was an awesome help. Pool’s nice.
The breakfast is such a disappointment - no fruit, cold, poor coffee. Quite noisy from the bars close by. No wi-if reaching our room.

Has the best location. Historical building.
Lack of parking facility

Like how it’s giving vintage vibes.
The facilities can be improved and cleanliness as well. Interior design of the room can be improved too

The old style of home/house it’s really amazing. Some simple breakfast provided which we appreciate.
We do expect well maintain facilities even though the building itself is old. Rooms are covered with virtually significant spider webs, towels has dark stain, one with faded blood stain, water heater wasn’t working for the first night, duvet or blankets has stains as well, water bottles are not refilled on the next day (we stayed two nights).
Room space is limited but it will be fine if we have all the above sorted.

Lovely and close to the river and central Kuching. Easy access to a wide range of restaurants, cafes and museums. Rooms basic but clean. The pool was easy to access and clean. Cereal toast jam and tea/coffee was handy in the mornings but fairly basic. Hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and had an interesting history of different uses over the years, which added to its interesting character
A few steps to climb up to the rooms could trouble some people, although we were fine with this.

Acient architecture
Small room, no window, low light

Location is good. Good local food and riverfront within walking distance. It is a heritage building with nice architecture.
The old building is sadly lacking maintenance and upkeep. Soundproof is very poor I can hear people talking, walking, closing doors and vehicles passing by. Lots of stairs it is not suitable for people with immobility and big luggages.

View of the Kuching city
The wood floors too noisy

Cancelled my reservation when standing at its entrance steps when I saw how inaccessible it was for a visually disabled person
I was supposed to be staying here with a group of friends. However when I arrived and recieved thier early feedback on its lack of accessibility and saw the step entrance (un railed) steps up to the property that I was expected to carry my bags up I cancelled my booking and moved into a much more suitable (and cheaper) hotel close by

Great location in Kutching , nice view . The rooms are simple , yet comfortable .
The rooms are not sound proof . I could hear people's conversation , moving chairs , etc . First night I was waken up around 1am by some locals having a very intense dialogue in the hallway . The reception lady was unwelcoming and sort of unfriendly. I would recommend rooms facing the pool , they're more expensive , but provide more privacy and comfort .
To reach the rooms you have to climb many stairs , no help available with your luggage .

Very nice Location, in the near of the temple, bars, restaurants, the bus station, the waterfront. We liked the garden area and the pool, the great view and the spacious bathroom with a huge window. We arrived very early and were very tired, but they gave us an early check in. That was very nice. Thank you!
It‘s very noisy, school kids, temple activities, even inside the house you can hear every spoken word from your neighbours. We didn‘t care, but for some people it might be important.

The place was very unique. I loved the old building, the open design, the great view of the city, and the close access to great sites. I also enjoyed the pool and the lovely landscaping around the hotel. The cost was very affordable.
I thought the rooms and conditions were to be expected given the budget price. One thing I think could change would be the mosquito situation. The open design will mean mosquitos, but I think there could be some efforts to have screens on any entries into the actual rooms. This will limit the number of mosquitos coming in.

The location. The unique building.
Breakfast. The staff. The incomplete things in the room. Like you should have floor mat. The lobby that far from the rooms building

i like the feeling of heritage
