Great location, amenities, location and host.

The vibe was wonderful. Very chill. Gio the owner was extremely helpful and sweet. The pool was great and there’s a lot of shade. Completely stocked kitchen and close to shops and restaurants and the beach. The beds were also very comfortable. Extremely good value! I would recommend to everyone!

Geweldig verblijf om voor korte of lange tijd te verblijven als je echte gastvrijheid wenst en Puerto volledig wilt ontd

Gio is een ontzettend vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer. De accommodatie straalt ontspanning, gezelligheid en netheid uit. Gio is dagelijks in de weer met het onderhoud en zijn gasten te ondersteunen. Hij leeft letterlijk voor de gasten! Al onze activiteiten hebben we ondernomen door Gio zijn vele tips! Zeer voordelige activiteiten kunnen doen dankzij hem!

A magic place with a magic host!

We had an amazing experience at Casa Gio. Staying with Gio is like visiting a wonderful family member. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and treated like old friends. Gio's a local with a wealth of knowledge that he's happy to share and we went to several of the places he recommended and had the best time. Many of his recommendations were things only a local would know, and not to be found online. Our room was spotlessly clean and Gios entire garden and space is a tranquil oasis. It's a slice of heaven with a view of the ocean. We watched the sunset from our tree house, then had a cerveza at the bar, and a dip in the pool. Gio was always there to help us whenever we needed anything but also respected our privacy. We are so grateful we chose Casa Gio. We can't wait to go back! Gracias Gio!

It’s like a hostel.

Gio. He is a wonderful person. Advised us and organised trips. it’s cheap.

Booked it because it was cheap, room with shared bathroom. in reality it’s a shake with a bed perched high with narrow stairs. Toilet and shower under the shake. There were other rooms with attached bathroom. But all basic with tiny swimming pool.

Gio is a very nice host, gives great information on thing to do and see. Also the Casa is very nicely decorated and every room has it's own fridge and stove. Very comfy bed and a refreshing small pool.

A wonderful, simple place to stay that has everything you need in a relaxing tropical oasis.

Casa Gio is a relaxing oasis that you appreciate after a day out in P.E.. The greenery, the pool, the hammocks, the music and the bar all contribute to Casa Gio being a place you can spend a lot of time. If you can't "unplug" and need to work or update your networks, the WiFi is great. The beds are comfortable, there is a gym and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself. If it doesn't, GIo will do his best to find it for you. Casa Gio is a special place in La Punta but in Gio himself you will not find a more gracious, caring host.

could use softer lighting in the unit that we stayed in, there were no bikes or laundry - it would be good to update that

The place was amazing! Beautiful, clean, the kitchen had everything you can think of and the tropical garden had a pol and a gym :) Gio was also very welcoming and happy to help with anything at all! And the location was great, close enough to la punta and the beach to be in the centre of everything in less than 10 minutes but still being a very calm neighborhood. Plus if you dont want to walk 10 mins you can even rent scooters or bicycles from Gio :) Overall we will really miss this place, it was like a little oasis in Puerto Escondido :)

Tranquility in Paradise

So glad we chose to stay at Casa Gio! Gio couldn’t do enough to make our stay one to remember and it was so nice to have someone who cares so much about their guests. We certainly made use of the pool, small (but well equipped) gym & cooking facilities (in our room) - not to mention the coffee which was enjoyed every morning whilst watching the hummingbirds from the hammocks! Muchas gracias for a wonderful stay!

Everything was amazing! Never wanted to leave, Gio was so welcoming and helpful, would definitely stay again if I was ever in the area. We had a free room upgrade too! We loved chilling in the garden/bar area. Thanks!

Casa Gio's is the best

Don't look any further - Gio's place is amazing! A little sanctuary close enough to La Punta but just far enough away to disconnect. Our room was rustic but clean and had everything we needed, the open honesty bar is great with beers and water always available, and Gio is a great guy always on hand to help out or tell a story while still letting us feel like we had privacy and our own space. Also... the Juice bar and Tacos bar at the bottom of the street were some of the best food we had in La Punta. Thanks Gio - we really hope we make it back soon to see the new extension!

Great location, friendliness, and everything you need on walking distance of the beach.

The friendliness and hospitality level of the owner, in combination with all the great stuff of the property: - An outside shower - Hammocks everywhere - Showers with water pressure - A big fridge and all the tools needed for a small kitchen - An outside gym - Everything is easily walkable - Closeby the collectivo's And so on. Thereby Gio and his team do everything in their limits to make your stay an unforgettable memory. Would definately go back and advise booking here. 🙏

Perfect! :)

We loved to stay with Gio! The Cabana was absolutely perfect, with a kitchen equiped with all stuff you need. Located near La Punta you can get around quickly and Gio is always down for some advises, help or information. For enjoying the evening there is a pool to take a cool refreshing or the bar for cold beers. The best Hostel we had in Mexico, we will for sure come back :) Thanks Gio!

Little Slice of Paradise

Gio's place was a fantastic stay. The courtyard/garden has plenty of shade with hammocks and a pool to stay cool through the day. Gio was incredibly attentive, and giving us lots of suggestions for activities to do in the area.

Simply amazing

We liked every moment, from the beginning to the end of our stay. We came exhausted and late in the evening at Casa Gio after a long trip with our son, and we had booked the accommodation very quickly a few days before, so we didn't know exactly what to expect. From the very first minute we felt welcome and relaxed, like a warm bath after a long day of work. The hosts are fantastic, the rooms were large and Gio built a little bar in the middle of the apartments where you could relax, or have a conversation with one of the other guests. Simply amazing and totally recommended

Very good

Gio is super nice and helpful! Great host. He even did a Barbecue for everyone who was staying there. Really awesome! If you're just on vacation, don't need reliable wifi and want entertaining company and wanna meet fellow travellers, this is a great place!

It's quite far from things, especially if you're just on foot. I did feel mainly safe and alright walking back there in the dark by myself but it's not ideal for a female solo traveller without a scooter, I'd say. Also the dogs and roosters in the neighbourhood are a nightmare. No sleep past 4 am without ear plugs. WiFi was not that great. There but weak and spotty.

Casa Gio, welcomed me so friendly and attentive. which was a warm welcome after my 20 hour flight, and my first time Mexico, the place felt like a home far away from home. A very safe place to arrive and settle in. The first room I got was so super nice and cute , I loved it straight away. I also loved the location, a bit up hill away from the tourists. but definitely close enough to anything you need. The second room I had was sooo big and spacious and had thee most view ever. sunset is amazing ! I booked also a whale and dolphin tour which was amazing. i

The other reviews are 100% true - this is a special place to stay. Gio is the friendliest host and so approachable. He'll go out of his way to help you with what you need. Accommodations are lovely, and I could hang out all day in the garden pool with a lot of hammocks. The best part of Casa Gio is the people it attracts, very friendly and open travelers - I made a few friends who I will keep in touch with. So if you're a nice person, looking for a quiet but social place to stay, I highly recommend Casa Gio!

Best place to stay in Puerto, hands down.

The staff are excellent and makes you feel right at home. The property is beautiful and stays cool in the heat. This place has everything you need to make great memories. Very secure in a safe area, plus close to a lot of cool stuff.
