A truly relaxing property. Huge, beautiful gardens provided the most serene setting for sitting out under the olive trees. A large pool where you could really get your laps in and lemon and lime trees with an abundance of fruit to pick. The house was very traditional. Lots of space and a very quirky ground floor. The pictures on Vrbo don't do it justice. The hosts made us very welcome and were very flexible with checking in early. Response times were great as we got a bit lost trying to find the villa. Couldn't have asked for a more friendly host. Thank you.

This property is a proper jewel in the region. Ideally located, the marvelous garden and its facilities (pool, bbq, porch, lemon trees). The village meets every first needs (bakery, café, pizza place, etc) and you can easily get around other places (Porto, Braga, etc…). The host is incredibly helpful and available. You can definitely pick this blind folded!

Hemos estado 6 adultos y 5 niños. Realmente Merece muchísimo la pena, gran jardín con fabulosa piscina, la casa es muy amplia y con todas las comodidades, el propietario de 10 con su amabilidad. La casa está en buena zona para realizar visitas en la zona Portugal Norte. Gracias por todo.

Si vous aimez la nature, la tranquilité, la conviviabilité, c'est le lieu idéal ! Les hôtes sont très sympathiques, très bon accueil. Une maison et un cadre très relaxant qui vous permettront de recharger vos batteries après vos journée d'exploration des lieux et paysages portugais. Toute la famille (10 + 1 enfant) a pu profiter d'une piscine très agréable. Toutes commodités à proximité (bars, restaurants, surpermarché, pharmacie, poste...) Hâtes de revenir !! A très bientôt

Fantástica casa en fantástica zona

Es una elección magnífica por varios motivos: la ubicación es envidiable, en una pedanía muy tranquila (con supermercado, banco y farmacia a 3 minutos en coche), pero a pocos kilómetros de unas playas maravillosas y puntos de interés como Viana, Oporto o Braga. Luego, la casa en sí misma, con 3 dormitorios dobles independientes y una buhardilla de tres ambientes con varias camas grandes y cunas, una cocina hermosa y toda una planta baja de zona de estar. El jardín es otro punto fuerte, muy bien cuidado y con una piscina y una zona de barbacoa que invitan a quedarse todo el día. Hemos ido con 5 niños de entre 10 y 16 años, y todos ellos están encantados con el viaje. Además llevábamos 2 perros, y la estancia para ellos también ha sido cómoda, con jardín para correr. El propietario es, además, una persona amabilísima y que facilita cualquier situación, los niños aún hablan de la leyenda que les contó! En definitiva, lo recomiendo vivamente, volvemos absolutamente encantados con esta propiedad, y deseando repetir.

Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances en famille très agréable dans cette jolie propriété . Jardin magnifique avec citronniers et orangers à disposition . Petit bemol , le manque de sécurité enfants au niveau des escaliers interieurs maison et piscine exterieur. Nous recommandons tout de même cette location qui est un lieu privilégié pour de belles vacances au Portugal.

La villa est très agréable et spacieuse pour toute une famille (12 personnes). Idéalement située dans un petit village, le jardin avec son verger et la piscine ont été très appréciés pour se reposer. José et son épouse sont de très bons hôtes. Aucune déception dans cette location, c’est une valeur sûre.

Wij hadden een heerlijk verblijf met 2 gezinnen in casa da pereira in Forjaes. Het huis is ruim en heeft een heerlijke tuin en zwembad. Het huis was schoon alleen 2 van de 4 badkamers bleken bij aankomst minder goed schoongemaakt. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gaven verschillende tips over waar wat te vinden in de omgeving. Zeker een aanrader voor wie vanuit een relaxte plek Noord Portugal wil verkennen.

A wonderful week!

We spent a week together with an another family at this lovely place. We enjoyed the privacy and the peace and quiet, and the kids loved the pool. The house was very clean and modern and our host was very welcoming. The location is a bit off, but that didn't bother us at all since there were many nice places to visit just a short drive away. We would love to come back some time again in the future, and I want to give the place and the host my warmest recommendations!

Alquilamos la casa por una semana a finales de agosto, éramos solo mi mujer y yo junto con nuestros dos perros. Nada más llegar descubrimos que nos iba a sobrar casa por todos lados, el interior es enorme, y sobre todo el jardín no lo es menos, metros y metros cuadrados donde nuestros perros se divirtieron corriendo e investigando cada rincón del precioso y perfectamente cuidado jardín. Nosotros gracias al buen tiempo que hizo disfrutamos todos los días de la piscina y aprovechamos para visitar lugares cercanos como Barcelos o Braga. Para nosotros dos la casa estaba perfectamente equipada (incluyendo tv, internet, futbolín, juegos de mesa...), pero por indicar algo a mejorar tal vez cuando se llene de gente puedan echar en falta otro sofá o una tv más grande para que todos puedan disfrutar del salón. Por lo demás el lugar es tranquilo, con comercios a pocos minutos en coche desde la casa, todo está en perfecto estado (duchas, camas, elementos de jardín...) y listo para que paséis unas grandes vacaciones como las que nosotros hemos disfrutado en esta preciosa propiedad. Mencionar también la gran acogida de los dueños y su disponibilidad total en cualquier momento para cualquier duda que tuvimos.

A propriedade é fantástica, com todos os detalhes necessários para uma estadia relaxada. A casa está super bem equipada. Podemos desfrutar muito da área exterior, adultos e crianças adoraram a piscina, o enorme jardim, baloiço... Recomendo esta propriedade para famílias ou grupos. Apesar de estar localizada numa área remota, permite ter a privacidade que procurávamos. Os proprietários foram super simpáticos e deixaram-nos á vontade.

What a great villa!!!!! This villa has all you can dream of: several bedrooms and bathrooms and a divine swimming pool surrounded by English-like-green-lawns. The house is spacious and comfortable and is decorated with taste. The garden is surrounded by a stone wall, covered with (fruit) plants and beautiful flowers, which give you lots of privacy. Northern Portugal is a must see: an amazing green scenery, very sunny and warm but nog as hot as the Algarve. From the villa you are within less than an hour in the beautiful city of Porto, or the medieval towns of Guimaraes and Braga. Also worth a visit is the northeast with its beautiful nature and rural scenery. Not to forget of course, the Atlantic coast with its great beaches is only a 15 minutes drive. We had a terrific time in this house, garden and surroundings. Owners are so friendly and caring. Everything had been prepared into detail upon our arrival, the garden was just taken care of. In mid-week the cleaners came to clean everything and change the sheets. The house and garden are a pleasure to be in and added that extra to our holiday!
