Really stylishly presented. Well-equipped kitchen. Lovely breakfast
I don’t know how to operate hearing in kitchen area and the evening was cold.

Unique style accommodation and communal kitchen.
Nothing.

Quiet retreat in the Bush - amazing setting and night skies. Room was comfortable.
Shared toilet block takes some getting used to, and with the quiet environment lacks some privacy.

The Bush Retreat was excellent. The grounds and facilities are all spick and span and beautifully presented. It was a pleasure to stay. Staff are excellent. So helpful and lovely.
It was windy during our stay so the openness of the shared lounge area and kitchen was a bit of a trial at times as there was nowhere to shelter from the wind except in your own tent but it was sunny so too hot in there. There is only 1 couch in the shared area so it would have been nice if there were more comfy lying down areas. The couch was the prime spot!

We loved everything about this bush retreat!! Incredible food provided for purchase, including a garden with fresh veggies to forage. The fire pits were very fun and comfortable to hang around. The tents themselves were perfect, very clean and cozy. The hot water bottles for sleeping were a nice touch too! Breakfast was also awesome. I couldn’t recommend this property more!

Such a lovely place. We stayed in the fancy room and it was all perfect. Decorations, furniture and the whole retreat was a lovely surprise. The tents also looked very romantic. The shared kitchen and fire places were so nice. Shared toilets and showers super clean and very well done. Absolutely a diamond this stay

here’s the deal: it is a glamping site so be aware of that. I didn’t do enough research and did not realize this so I was surprised when I discovered that the rooms were all tents and that the bathroom was shared and there was a shared kitchen to cook dinner and lunch if you wanted etc. however it is very clean and lovely and romantic and makes for an excellent weekend getaway! I wished I was with my partner so that we could have had a little glamping adventure together. if you use the kitchen to cook you can bring your own food or you can cook and eat the food they have. they have these delicious premade meals that are easy to heat up and you can use their rice and pasta etc to whip up a nice meal. the kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots and pans and kitchen stuff. it’s very friendly and social too! if you prefer not to cook there are restaurants nearby in binalong bay and st helen’s.
I did not stay in a tent but I asked to see one and they are so delightful. they have 2 heaters and electric blankets and were so warm and cozy! in hindsight I wish I had stayed in one. I stayed in the cabin called fancy which was equally lovely and warm with a space heater and electric blankets.
I highly recommend but just make sure you’re up for glamping and don’t go into it thinking it’s a typical hotel!
breakfast in the morning is delicious and everything is freshly made.
I loved everything.

My partner did not like having to walk to the toilets in the night, would have been really bad if raining

Lovely property with everything we needed. Pre-packed dinners, drinks and grazing platter bar available. Tents were lovely with a very comfy bed. Enjoyed our glamping experience!

The site was beautifully landscaped and laid out. It was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and well stocked with utensils, crockery, pots and pans, dishes etc. Having an abundance of clean tea towels and washing up soap etc made for easy and efficient use by us patrons.
It was great to be able to cook one's one food or purchase pre-cooked 'cheffie' meals. Although we didn't have breakfast, it looked fabulous and generous.
The shared bathrooms were lovely and allowed couples to shower and get dressed at the same time. The whole site is well designed and thought through. A very comfortable generous king sized bed with clean pressed linen :-)
The firepits are very inviting and a great way to relax and meet other guests.
We stayed in the Bunk House (sleeps 6 people, although we were only 2) and there was not a single coat hanger or hook inside for one's towels or clothing. There was only a bedside 'table/shelf' placed on one side of the master bed - it would be easy enough to make and install a narrow but effective bedside 'shelf' on the other side to place one's personal items and a wall light.

Incredibly comfortable tents, just close enough to neighbours so you dont feel alone, heated bedding was the best, really great bathroom and kitchen facilities, the common area was beautiful
Wouldn't recommend for someone very tall, it's a drive to the beach or a very long walk.

The Bay of Fires Bush Retreat is incredible - I would (and have) recommended it to anyone I know travelling to Tas. It's secluded, quiet and you feel very much out in the bush, but with surprisingly big clamping-style yurts which are very comfortable with big beds and loads of space for two people. The pre-prepared food is a great idea and delicious, whilst the honesty cupboard of Tassie wines, beers, cheese and dips is such a great touch. Kitchen, fires, bathroom/shower facilities are all top notch. The staff are so friendly and full of great local recommendations - all of which we did. Overall, I'd love to come again, and will be when I'm next in Tas. A must book!

Sensational spot. Best camp kitchen I've ever seen. Loved the vege garden.
Maybe some little solar lights along the path from the glamping tents to the toilet facilities would be helpful?
