About this apartment rental
Historic home built in the late 1800s near downtown and University of Kentucky. Restaurants, downtown and the UK campus all in walking distance. Woodland Park one block away. Our offering is not occupied when not rented and was formerly offered as a 3 bedroom leased apartment. It is now furnished and a great space for travelers in need of short-term accommodations.
Entire 2nd floor three bedroom furnished apartment with private bathroom, living room and kitchen. Not occupied when not rented. There are 3 large bedrooms, a modern kitchen, bathroom and living room. Every room has TV and TIVO with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Vudo*, Hulu* and other* streaming services. Commercial grade wireless internet throughout.
(*must use your account credentials)
Our neighborhood is located between the UK campus and Downtown Lexington. Most homes on the street are Victorian style mansions built in the late 1800s. We are one-half block from the Woodland Triangle retail hot spot and a block and a half from Woodland Park. Woodland Park offers a pool, tennis courts, a baseball field, picnic tables and a wonderful arborist walking tour of many tree species. Woodland Avenue's six blocks begin at E. Main Street and end inside the UK campus.
Lyft, Uber and Taxi services are available. Lyft and Uber rides (assuming no Surge/Primetime escalations) to downtown, Rupp Arena or Lexington Convention Center are about $5. To LEX Airport or Keeneland Race Course the cost is about $18. These are based on my last use of these services, prices vary as you know if you use them. Free ride codes - Uber: davidl3326, Lyft: DAVID832605. STR Registration: 15085266-1

Property manager David was very attentive and responsive. The property itself is the entire second floor of an old home. It fit our group's needs as we did not spend a lot of time in the space, we spent most of our weekend traveling and dining out. The one down side is that the single bathroom for 6 adults does not have a fan or windows that can open, so the logistics of 6 adults using a single bathroom be challenging. Again, worked for what we needed it for. Good a/c too!

The Lafferty House was the perfect place to stay for our ladies weekend getaway to Lexington. The location is excellent, easy to and from Keeneland, walking distance to many great restaurants and bars, and to Rupp for a concert as well! The neighborhood was lovely and quiet with ample street parking right out front. The host, David, was very responsive and accommodating even providing recommendations on good spots for brunch on Sunday morning. There were many special touches within the unit that made the stay comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. We would definitely book Lafferty House again for future visits to Lexington.

My husband and three adult children came down to Lexington to watch our youngest daughter graduate from UK.
We had an amazing weekend, and a big part of it was due to this amazing house and welcoming hosts. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Great location in Lexington
This is the second floor of this house, more of a duplex. Very nice 3 bedroom space, only 1 dated bathroom. No were to gather except kitchen, would have loved to have access to front porch or backyard. Great location!

Overnight stay in Lexington
Our group of four was in town for one night, to attend a concert at Rupp arena. Rather than getting a hotel, we found this place, and were very happy we did! The location was very convenient to the downtown area, and was just a short walk away. The house was very clean and offered us space to hang out before heading into town for the show.

Everything to like about this house
My sister and I stayed at Lafferty House for two weeks in July, 2021. The house is historically charming and comfortable, and, at the same time, has all the modern conveniences. The front and back windows have beautiful leafy views, and the neighborhood has a good location next to downtown and within walking distance of local restaurants.
The house was impeccably clean with nice décor: no clutter and plenty of room for our things. I found everything I needed in the kitchen, and the bathroom had more amenities than most hotel rooms. The TVs in each room worked well and there was access to the house Netflix, Amazon Prime, and all network channels.
A really nice touch was finding a packet of information about things to see and do and eat and drink in and around the Lexington area. The host put a lot of effort into providing a pleasant atmosphere for us to feel at home— away from home. David was always available for any needs or questions we had. It was a great experience!

Perfect Getaway
We rented this location at the last minute and it was perfect for our family of 3. Super clean and comfortable, we enjoyed downtime between visits to local places in Lexington. We were able to walk to dinner one evening and it was perfect. All amenities were there and we felt well taken care of - a home away from home!

Nice hosts
Four of us stayed for a weekend in February. The kitchen and living room are both small, but plenty for what we needed. The bedrooms are very nice with comfortable beds! We ran out of paper towels and toilet paper, but the hosts were really prompt in getting more to us. Nice place in a good location!

Kentucky visiting family
We frequent Lexington to visit my sister and cousins and typically stay in VRBO instead on a hotel. This was by far our best experience yet. The neighborhood is amazing and our daughter loved Woodland Park down the street. The proximity the Magee’s bakery made getting her favorite donuts easy. The hosts were extremely accommodating and very attentive. This was by far our best rental probably ever we will be back.

Quiet Street/ Roomy Space
David met us upon arrival and showed us the space. It was very clean and roomy. I did not feel cramped at anytime in the house. We had 5 total guest staying for 3 nights. He had everything that one would need for a short or long stay. David was a great host and was instant on responses anytime we had a question. I would definitely recommend to friends, family or anyone interested. My friend and I also walked from downtown. It was a little over a mile but there was a sidewalk the entire walk. The house is located on a quiet street close to some great places to eat. In addition, David has a guide he put together that gives suggestions of places to eat.
