Devon Hills is a 5* holiday village situated between the coast of Torbay and the historic market town of Totnes, the nearest Beach is a 6 minute drive away. The site nestles in 60 acres of tranquil countryside and our lodge has a prime position with views over the Devon countryside and its own parking space. Decking wraps around three sides from which you can enjoy day long sun. This is an ideal location from which to explore the beautiful Devon countryside from the numerous blue flag beaches to the tiny picturesque hamlets. There is so much to enjoy right here, on your doorstep, and our lodge is fully equipped to give a perfect home from home feeling in which to return, after your day of sightseeing, or relaxing on the beach. The decking leads to the front door and into the open plan living accommodation with vaulted ceiling and double bi-fold doors opening onto the terrace. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a gas hob and electric fan oven and microwave. Also provided is a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, with the usual small appliances such as a toaster and kettle. There is also a separate utility with washing machine. The hallway takes you into the two double bedrooms both with quality mattresses. One with king size bed and the other with twin single beds. From the main bedroom is the fully tiled en-suite shower room with washbasin and toilet. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and washbasin. There are large mirrors and televisions in both bedrooms. The lodge has a real home from home feel, for winter breaks there is gas central heating and double glazing to ensure that you are warm and cosy on even the coldest of days, flat screen television, DVD, and games for the children on wet days.
The holiday village of Devon Hills is a five star rated site and has a leisure complex boasting an indoor pool with children's pool, a sauna and a steam room. The Gym at Devon Hills has a reputation for being one of the best in the area with newly fitted first class equipment and personal training if required. Outside you can try archery, tennis and table tennis and there is a small but adequate play area for children. The Hive is a short walk away and offers good food and local beers along with wines, spirits and a warm welcome. An ideal solution for those that enjoy a drink without the drive home.
The site itself has a very tranquil atmosphere without the noisy attractions that can disrupt a stay on some of the more commercial sites. It makes a perfect base from which to acquaint yourself with the area. Whether walking, sailing, climbing or window shopping, everything that you could possibly want can be found within a twenty mile radius of Devon Hills. Grocery stores such as Asda, Morrison’s and Sainsbury are a few minutes’ drive away. With additional onside shop. The two nearest cities of Plymouth and Exeter both offer different interests with Plymouth having the famous Barbican and Exeter with its cathedral and canals. The National park of Dartmoor is nearby with its notorious ten tors and Dartmoor ponies and the South Hams boasts unspoilt hamlets and villages such as the village of Stoke Gabriel with its Mill pond, Slapton sands and the adjacent beaches and the sailing centre of Salcombe. There is so much to see and so many beautiful places to enjoy whatever the weather, Dartmouth, Totnes, Brixham and Dartington. For the children you are just two miles from Paignton Zoo and the beaches and pier. You can visit Torquay visit the Theatre to watch a spectacular show, or visit one of the continental style cafes along the harbour. Or enjoy some fabulous Fish and Chips in the local town of Totnes.

Excellent quality lodge which is spacious and light. Wraparound deck to follow the sun. Good sized family bathroom & en-suite shower room. Short walk to all on site facilities and a short drive to lovely Devon pubs and Dart river locations.

There is more than enough space and also in the kitchen everything is more than sufficient.
The communication with the landlady was very good.
The only pity was that the indoor swimming pool burnt down. This should be pointed out in the advertisement.

Exceeded expectations
We have just returned from a weeks stay at this beautiful lodge. I have to say, I don't think the pictures show it to its full potential. Its amazingly clean, well equipped & just fantastic in general, it was our first holiday with our daughter who had just turned 2, she was so excited when we arrived. the lodge is safe and secure which is important. We will definitely be returning. Susan was great to deal with and sent us a text on arrival and departure. We will be rebooking soon !!!

Great place to stay
Lovely lodge, well appointed in a nice site. Pub, shop and pool all on site. Lots of space and good views. The owner was very helpful, providing information and letting us know the lodge was ready before the expected time, a real bonus. Would love to visit again as it is in an amazing area.

Absolutely Fabulous!
We have had the most wonderful stay. Right from the start Susan was fantastic to communicate with and ensure we were completely in the picture with check-in/ out.
The lodge surpassed our expectations and the photos don’t fully do it justice. It is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. It is the best lodge we have ever stayed in.
The park is excellent if you are looking for a peaceful location with stunning views. We used the swimming pool which was great and again really clean.
There is so much to do in the area even if it’s raining but we were extremely lucky with the weather!

Superb accommodation on a lovely quiet holiday park
This lodge is immaculate, wonderfully presented and in a beautiful setting. The host, Susan even contacted us on our first day to check we had arrived safely. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would happily recommend to anyone. My two young children enjoyed the great pool and two parks available on site. It was a short drive to the beach and zoo. Even though it was half term, the site was quiet which made for a relaxing holiday as well. We would definitely go back. 5 stars!!!

First mini break of the year
The 4 of us who stayed at the lodge thought it was absolutely lovely. It had everything you could possibly want, and I probably could have cooked a 3 course meal in the kitchen if I had been so inclined. Beds were comfy, there was lots of seating and storage and everything was so clean. Perfect place to start getting used to going on holiday.

Excellent property, well equipped and the decorated to a high standard. Very spacious and doesn't feel like a holiday home. It would of been nice if the hot tub had been working but the property wasn't advertised with a hot tub when I booked so wasn't a big problem. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic holiday lodge in Torbay
We had a brilliant stay at Devon Hills in this platinum lodge. It is beautifully furnished, with everything you need, and it was immaculate. It was a nice bonus having the swimming pool and playground on site, but it was mostly a great base to enjoy Torbay. The site was very quiet, we didn't see many people at all, and the nights were very peaceful. There are a lot of lodges close together, but didn't feel at all overlooked - helped by the hills I guess. The parking space was very handy right outside the door, and plenty of room for a big car. The outdoor terrace was a great size with a gate so the kids could play safely, and it was really useful to have a washing line and clothes pegs. All appliances worked well and it was like home from home, very easy to have meals in, everything you needed and a large dining table. The beds were very comfortable, loads of cupboard space and lovely bathrooms. Susan was really friendly and helpful in advance of the stay and answered my questions very promptly, plus the check in process couldn't have been simpler. Thank you so much, we'll definitely come back and wouldn't hesitate to book this same lodge again.

1 week break early July
A clean, modern and very well equipped property in a quiet location, but within easy reach of the local beaches and attractions.
Two large bi-folding French windows opening onto raised decking offer an al fresco feel and come in useful for cooling the property at the end of a warm summer day. The property is currently advertised minus the out-of-order hot-tub, which would have combined nicely to offer a great summer outdoors feel.
The beds were very comfortable and both the main bathroom and en-suite are nicely fitted, though they lack a power point for charging electric razors and toothbrushes, and the toilet seats are ill-fitting.
As a welcoming touch, some complementary items such as dishwasher tablets, biscuits, tea, coffee and toilet rolls were provided.
The only real downside to the property was the fact that my teenagers were unable to connect with the Wi-Fi, but it's a minor inconvenience and didn't detract from the holiday.
It could be the time of year, but the Blagdon Inn down the road was quiet and staff didn't seem to be on top of their game. The food was nice, but a bit pricey with a limited menu. Be warned that they don't serve food after 6pm on Sundays. We didn't rush to go back and there are plenty of other places to eat in the area.
For grocery shopping, there's a convenient Morrisons next to the zoo which is only 5 minutes away by car.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the property and our week in Devon. It was definitely a home away from home. If we ever go back to the area, this property will certainly be our first choice.
