About this house rental

Laughing Water is a modern, well equipped, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house, that sleeps 6. It has beautiful views seen both from the balcony and from a spacious sitting room. There is direct access to the beach from the garden. The large kitchen is extremely well appointed, with a big dining table for family meals. Other facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher and free WiFi.

Pett Level is within an area of outstanding natural beauty with nature reserve land to the front of the house and a beautiful, yet little known beach to the back. The beach is one of shingle at high tide, but opens to sand and rock pools at low tide, providing the opportunity for swimming, sunbathing and adventure for all! The Fairlight cliffs can be seen to the west and the curve of nearby Rye Harbour and Camber Sands to the east.

The many nearby attractions include walking, cycling, fishing, horseriding, swimming, bird watching, a variety of National Trust and English Heritage properties, the famous Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and Dungeness Lighthouse, the historic towns of Rye and Battle, along with traditional seaside entertainments (pier, funfair, Aquarium and the Smugglers Adventure in Hastings) and fairly local cinemas and a theatre. You should not be short of things to do here!

The house is in a great position, is extremely well equipped and benefits from beautiful sea views and private access to the beach areas. It's a very clean, spacious house which would suit all ages. We had a lovley four night break there and would highly recommend the property.

Laughing water was just as described on VRBO, a fabulous property which is very well equipped. It is in an excellent location, the beach just a few metres away. Rye is a short drive away, a beautiful town with lots of history as well as shopping and eateries.

We stayed in this comfortable, beautifully situated and well equipped house for Christmas. Great kitchen for a LOT of cooking! Friendly and informative host and if you know where it is, you get used to passers-by having a nose! As it is where I grew up and my family live, we will be back (assuming they will have us)!

Where to start, the location, the house (larger than it looks), the views, owners’ responsiveness were just fantastic. We loved walking straight out of the house onto the beach, the kids didn’t want to leave and we certainly didn’t either. Most definitely returning especially now that we have discovered the deli at The Ship and Sunday lunch at The 2 Sawyers!

What a lovely place Laughing Water is! Couldn’t fault anything, there was nothing we’d change. The view from this property is exceptional, sun most of the day on the rear balconies facing the sea and just steps from the beach. Comfy beds, plenty of chairs on the balcony’s, modern bathrooms, well kitted out kitchen and lots of little extras like books, games, huge TV, shower gel in bathroom, condiments and breakfast items in kitchen.

Lovely spacious house in a second to none position. with amazing views of the beach and sea. Great first floor lounge with large terrace overlooking beach, where we had breakfast and lunch every day. The house was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean. We absolutely loved the house and would recommend it to anyone!

Great house with fabulous views right on the beach. Owner answered any questions really quickly and it was the perfect property for five school friends to have a great few days together. There is a fabulous top floor bedroom with en suite bathroom and balcony, a double and twin on the middle level that also has a lovely big bathroom and lounge with large balcony, and a large kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, with a smaller twin room and another shower room. Would highly recommend.

My friends and I had a lovely stay at Laughing Water. The hosts provided accurate and helpful information ahead of our stay and the property was very clean. The sea views from the back of the house are stunning and the beach is just a step outside the backdoor. The house itself is very large, so there was ample room for the 5 of us, and plenty more. It is only a short drive to Hastings, Rye, Camber Sands and other surrounding sights, so convenient for travelling to the local attractions, whilst still being in a remote and idyllic location. I highly recommend this property. We would love to stay again!

We have just had a wonderful few nights in this beautiful home. Sadly the weather didn't play the game so we were unable to take advantage of the two balconies, but the large windows in the lounge & top bedroom allow you to watch the sea. The home is clean and light, bedrooms are spacious. The house is well equipped. Lydia's communication was prompt, she assisted with requests for advice on the local area. Would absolutely recommend this home.

What an amazing week! The house is truly in a special spot. Secluded beach on your doorstep! Wonderful views. Spent a lot of time sitting on the decking watching the world go by. Lydia is a wonderful host. A real home from home. Just a suggestion, but it would have been great to have access to a bbq but this in no way detracted from a wonderful, relaxing stay. We will hopefully be back at some point.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Even with changeable weather the location meant we could make the most of gaps in the clouds. The house is very well appointed, both in amenities and kitchen equipment and everything is in excellent condition. There is private parking for at least one car. We found plenty of runs/walks to do, as well as cycling. A tip: if cycling to Rye (7 miles) make sure you follow the coast all the way and turn up the river towards Rye Harbour, this way you get spectacular views and avoid as much of the traffic on the road as possible.

The home...and yes it is a home was absolutely wonderful. My friends and I have had a fabulous stay. The house is equipped with everything you need. You are so close to the sea..what more could you want...Loved chilling on the balconys. Coming from London this was the most relaxing few days we have had in a long time. We were quite sad to leave. If you are reading this review because you are unsure to book....you will not be sorry. I would love to come back sometime. Thank you for making your home/holiday home a most welcoming place to come to. I think you can tell we had a lovely time...
