About this apartment rental
CIN: 046017LTN0342
"Casa Beatrice is a sophisticated and elegant new apartment, whose renovation just ended in March 2018.
It includes a total surface of 140 square meters (about 1.500 square feet), with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
It spreads over a single floor with particularly large and very bright rooms.
The furniture and decor have been studied down to every detail by the owner herself, who is an interior designer. In this apartment, she committed to offer not only a remarkable refinement but also the maximum comfort.
Casa Beatrice is equipped with double-glass windows, air conditioning in the three bedrooms and in the living / dining room, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, hair dryers in all bedrooms and many other small appliances. The heating system is independent.
In addition, this house also has a private, outdoor fenced area with garden, gazebo and parking for 2/3 cars. The location is particularly ideal as it is almost like being in the old city center, which can be reached in 5 minutes on foot, but with the great convenience of the garden with private parking.
Relaxing and romantic, Casa Beatrice is undoubtedly the perfect home to complete a unique and unforgettable experience in Lucca.
Lay-out
The apartment has a large entrance which leads to the living area furnished with sofas and 42-inch satellite TV. The dining room is connected to the living room through an arch and has a table for 8 people.
The modern kitchen is large in size and has a dining table for 6 people.
The corridor leads to two large double bedrooms with direct access to the bathroom, a third bedroom with 2 single beds, which , on request, can become a double bed, whose respective bathroom can be accessed from the hallway door.
Last but not least, there are 2 comfortable terraces, a smaller one with access from the kitchen, and a larger one with access from the living room, furnished with a tea table and chairs.
The apartment is on the second and last floor of a quiet building and is accessed through a large private staircase with very low steps, especially designed to be particularly delicate.
The lucky feature of this house is that the other apartment with which it should share both the garden and the entrance area is owned by the same owners and is not used.
Outside there is a gazebo with a comfortable sofa and garden chairs that invite you for a relaxing break.
Location
Casa Beatrice is located in a secondary road with access from the ring-road of the city of Lucca, therefore more secluded from the areas of greater traffic.
You can reach Porta Elisa by foot in 5 minutes. That is one of the 4 main gates of the ancient walls, through which you can enter the historic center.
This gate takes its name from Elisa Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon and Duchess of Lucca, and faces the east side of Lucca.
The railway station is located about 600 meters from the house, and it is reachable via a pleasant path around the walls, easy to walk even on foot. There is also a convenient and frequent shuttle bus service.
Local pizzeria-brewery 50 meters down the road, with excellent pizza.
Restaurant 100 meters away with good quality seafood specialties.
Finally, I would like to conclude encouraging tourists to choose Lucca as a destination for their holidays, not only because it is a beautiful city, rich in history and with medieval walls that are unique in the world for their grandeur and more, but also for the city's privileged position to discover other beauties of Tuscany.
Pisa is just 20 km away and Florence about 70 km (45 minutes by motorway). Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra are 1 hour and 40 minutes away by car.
To get to beautiful Cinque Terre it's only a one hour drive.
Just thirty minutes by car you can reach the coast; that is the area where the province of Lucca is washed by the Tyrrhenian Sea. This is certainly a very beautiful coastal area, born in the early 1900s and rich in Art Nouveau architecture. The beach is very wide with thin sand that slides gently into the sea.
Heading towards the mountainous area of Lucca you will encounter the famous villages of the Garfagnana, also very popular with visitors."

Massimo was a wonderful host! He was very responsive and respectful of our time and needs and made us feel very welcomed. The property was very well maintained and in an ideal location for exploring the beautiful city of Lucca. The house was tastefully decorated and included everything we needed to make our stay special. Onsite private parking and AC were a big plus! We felt very safe and secure in this quaint home which is located on a quiet, easy-to-access street. We highly recommend Massimo and the city of Lucca!

The property was magnificent! The property had everything you needed. The home was beautifully decorated and immaculate. It was walking distance to the walled city of Lucca, the grocery store and an amazing bakery. Massimo was an excellent host, gave us good recommendations and knows the area very well. It was truly one of the best experiences we ever had.
Thankyou, Grazie.

Massimo is a wonderful host for this lovely, cozy and very roomy apartment. The decor and layout are superb with comfy beds and living area. Super clean, well-equipped and a great location to explore the walled city. We highly recommend that you stay here—you will be delighted!

The apartment has everything you need for a great stay, if you want to cook a few meals the kitchen is set up for it. The parking is great this close to the wall, as we always rent a car when traveling. Massimo is wonderful to chat with and he is extremely helpful with any questions.

First of all the location and the owner are both amazing. You will walk everywhere! Trains, buses, city, restaurants, shops, groceries, you will be near it all.
Massimo is a wealth of information about the area and best restaurants too!
We rented a car for half of the time to visit Cinque Terre, Sienna, Voltera and San Gimingnano but can get there by train or bus too.
Massimo is very quick to respond to any needs, The house was immaculate and we loved our stay VERY MUCH

We were so excited about returning to Italy after living here for three years in the '90s. We chose Lucca because we had visited before and enjoyed the smaller, more relaxed town experience. We could not have asked for a better residence. The home was located just outside the city walls in a quiet residential area. Plenty of living space, amenities, and well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed daily walks into town for fresh bread, wine and prosciutto. Afternoons included a walks around the wall. Massimo was the perfect host. He patiently waited for us when our arrival was delayed and took great care in reviewing all of the features of the house. He also really helped us out when a train strike had us scrambling to make new travel arrangements. All in all a great place to stay and we hope to return.

Our experience with Massimo, the Owner, could not have been better! He went above and beyond to accommodate us, and the apartment was comfortable and convenient.
We would stay again!

The 4 of us had a wonderful stay at Massimo’s place! It looks just like the pictures online. We stayed here for 5 nights which was the longest leg of our 2 week trip. After traveling around to different cities in Italy, this was the perfect place to relax & recharge. Lucca is such a gem (just as Massimo said it was)! This is a beautiful & also very secure place to stay in Lucca, I would highly recommend.

This was the most memorable vacation we have ever been on. Excellent location and Massimo could not have been any more accommodating as a host. He even went out of his way to take us to see olive being made. He looked after everything! We would absolutely come back!!

This 3 bedroom 3 bath was extremely comfortable for 2 couples. The apt. is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped and even has a cappuccino coffee machine.
We enjoyed the bikes provided to ride the wall and get around town.
Massimo, the owner was very accommodating and attentive to any requests we had. He had excellent recommendations for restaurants and gave us the name of a driver who we used to take us to the Florence airport.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the fabulous city of Lucca. You'll love it!

Massimo was such a great host! The property is elegant, extremely convenient to the Center City and includes a parking area. The kitchen is cheerful and inviting. It is a prefect retreat from a busy day of touring. We plan to return.

This three bedroom and three bath home is a wonderful place to experience the quiet and safe town of Lucca. You have numerous restaurants and lovely shops throughout the town. Our entire family loved walking along the wall that surrounds Lucca. Just a 15 minute walk to the train station will take you to other adventures in Pisa, Florence, Pistoia, Prato, La Spetzia, and the Cinque Terre. Massimo was a great host!

The property is ideally located for Lucca, being only 5 minutes walk form the walls. It has the advantage of secure off street parking and an amazing property. The pictures do not do justice to the quality and design of a big three bedroom apartment. Three full bathrooms, a wonderfully equipped kitchen and a separate dining room add to the feel of home.
The host Massimo is great to deal with and very friendly. A real source of knowledge for Lucca and the surrounding area.
All in all a really good break and we will be back

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful home with another couple, just outside the walls of Lucca for a month. This home is spacious and beautifully appointed. We traveled by train and car to Rome, Florence, Siena and Portofino with ease. Our friends went to Positano and spent a few days as well. Our host Massimo was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we were well supplied. He is an expert on dining and culture in Lucca! 4 bicycles were available to us too. It is our hope to return one day.

We used the apartment as a base for a two month Italian Holiday. Best decision ever!
Lucca is a fabulous mid sized city located within driving distance of most of the Northern portion of the country. It offers great restaurants, shops and a beautiful walkway along the wall that surrounds the city.
The apartment is elegantly furnished, very comfortable, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. We cannot say enough about Massimo, our host. From his initial greeting upon our arrival, to saying goodbye upon our departure, he was always available to assist in any way. You cannot go wrong renting Casa Beatrice!

The apartment was well decorated, secure, clean and equipped with all the necessities. It is just a short walk from Lucca where we enjoyed several walks and bike rides(bikes included) around the city walls. The neighbourhood was nice and only a short walk to a grocery store. We bought ingredients there and used one of the recipes provided to make a traditional Tuscan meal. The apartment had ample space as we were a group of 6 and it fit us perfectly. Massimo and his wife were very gracious and very personable. We would certainly come back! Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Three of us stayed at Beatrice Home Apr.22-29. The accommodation was absolutely perfect for our needs. Beautifully decorated and well appointed. We lacked for nothing. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was wonderful. Lots of living space. We also found the location perfect. An easy walk to get inside the walls of old Lucca.
Our host Massimo was simply amazing. He explained everything when we arrived and included recommendations for restaurants, wine tours, other villages to visit. He followed up every day to see how we were making out and could not have been more helpful.
Our stay was outstanding. Can’t say enough and hope to return to this beautiful spot someday.

We, a family of 4, had a great time at this wonderful holiday home. Massimo was very forthcoming and helpful during our stay, he gave very good advice on potential activities and places to go. Lucca is a very beautiful city and ideally located for all kinds of sightseeing trips to not only the mediterranean sea but other famous or local cities and regions of tuscany. Hope to come back soon. Best wishes.

My friends and I took a girls trip for 10 days to Tuscany, and our home base was Massimo’s lovely apartment in Lucca.
Where to start. The Apartment is so charming with so many details. It is spacious, clean, and a short walk to the walled town of Lucca. they were even bicycles provided to ride around the town so many amenities, you feel like you’re home.
Massimo, the owner is lovely. He was very attentive to details, and always available to answer our questions. He also provided us with some wonderful local recommendations, including his go to coffee shop, Pane e Marmelada, which was just as charming as he described! I highly recommend renting this property if you’re ever in the area.
I certainly plan to stay here again on my next visit to Lucca and will plan to call my new friend, Massimo.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful property and welcoming host! Massimo has gone out of his way to make sure this home is inviting and has so many personal and thoughtful amenities it is hard to list them all! House is spotless and smelled wonderful, the linens and towels were ironed, and Massimo personally made sure we arrived safely. He greeted us with a warm smile and walked us through all we needed to know to keep our stay happy. The home is very well organized with lots of pride showing in all the small touches he and his beautiful wife have added. So great to have the bikes to ride into the walled city, was my favorite part of the stay! Home is close enough to walk to the center, if you’re not a biker! He stayed in touch with us, checking to see if we needed anything during our stay. I would look no further if you need accommodations in Lucca! You will NOT find a better accommodation! We will return! c
Ciao, Bella, Massimo! Regards, Dianne, Jackie, Chris, Steve

A truly marvellous property in the charming location of Lucca. Massimo was a delight to engage with and was extremely helpful and engaging.

The property was perfect including parking and is only a couple of blocks from historic Lucca. Massimo was a fantastic host who provided great answers to all our questions and provided great recommendations. He assisted with great local food, a cooking class, and shopping recommendations. He also set up a private tour of several wineries in the Monte Carlo area.
While there were only two of us, he has the entire unit with no shared parking or access. We will try to get friends to join us on our next trip.
When we return to Lucca, we hope to book with Massimo again.

This was an amazing place to stay and we’re so happy that we chose it! Just as previous reviews shared, the owner Massimo was an absolute gem - meeting us at the gate when we arrived and explaining about the apartment, suggesting places to eat, being available via WhatsApp both before and during our stay, and just making the whole time a pleasant experience for our family of five. We stayed a week and it was just perfect. The rooms are exactly as pictured, and even more beautiful in person. The beds were very comfortable, and the water pressure in all three showers was fantastic. It’s a quiet neighborhood, and we loved that we could walk easily to the shops and restaurants of Lucca, the nearby supermarket, and the train station. We didn’t rent a car - a first for us - but we all commented on how great it was to be able to walk the city or easily take day trips without one.
Lucca itself was a treasure so we nixed several day trips to instead explore locally. The wall around the city is only 3 walkable miles! We also traveled to Cinque Terra by train and did a day in Florence. A highlight of our trip was a cooking class with Chef Paolo that Massimo recommended. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience - just the five of us plus the chef, learning to make many dishes from appetizers to tiramisu. Amazing!
I could go on and on but I’m afraid we’ll never get back in if if I continue... We highly recommend Casa Beatrice. Grazie mille, Massimo! We hope to come back soon!

Massimo is a very welcoming host and he and his wife had decorated the apartment for our stay over the Christmas period. The location is very good with a short walk to Pitti Elisa, with secure parking.

This is a large apartment — three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is perhaps the best equipped apartment I have ever stayed in. It has everything you could possibly need. The decor is homey and old fashioned. The location is an easy five-minute walk to the historic center. The host is extremely friendly and helpful. There were two sets of keys which allowed us to split up on occasion. And Lucca is just wonderful! We were very happy with our stay.

We loved staying a week at this beautiful and elegant property! The owner checked us in and carefully explained everything. We were gifted a bottle of Prosecco and cantucci which we really enjoyed. The apartment is in a good location that is walking distance to Lucca old city. Good bicycles were also available to us which we rode around the walls of Lucca. The apartment was very clean and extremely comfortable. It is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well appointed. There are two grocery stores within a five minute walk. We highly recommend this property.

We three friends have just spent a four day break in Lucca in this delightful apartment. Massimo and his wife have thought of absolutely everything anyone could need for a perfect holiday, and Massimo himself could not have been more helpful. We had excellent advice on where to eat and what to see, as well as the thoughtful gift of Prosecco to celebrate my birthday. I wish we could have stayed longer! Grazie mille per tutto, Massimo! Dawn

Four of us (two couples) stayed at this lovely home for 31 days, enjoying Lucca and taking different day trips around Italy throughout the month. We had a rental car, so this location was absolutely ideal, as we had private parking right at the house. The house is so close to the walls of Lucca, that we were inside the walls within a five minute walk. Best of both worlds. We used the four bikes as well, to ride on the wall and enjoy the beautiful views. The house has all the conveniences of home for a long and comfortable stay; a fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals, washer and dryer, and plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable. My husband and I own a business and had to work while we were there, so I set up my computer at the dining room table and he set his up at the desk in the bedroom. That still gave our friends the living room, kitchen table, or bedroom to have their own spaces. Massimo always responded quickly whenever we had questions and he was helpful in so many ways. He and his wife helped us find a tennis club where we could play while we were there, a fitness center with a massage therapist, excellent restaurants, cooking classes, and many other tours whenever we asked for their advice and suggestions. They were accommodating and thoughtful hosts and helped make our visit to Italy a memorable one. We have invited them to stay with us at our home in the U.S., if they have the opportunity to travel here in the future.

I now travel to Lucca several times a year for business, and this villa hands-down delivers the most lovely experience. Gorgeous setting, beautiful amenities, and great location. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!

Massimo’s lovely home is the perfect place to stay when visiting Lucca. It’s close to everything and has everything you need. Hope to come back one day.

We stayed at this apartment for a week recently and were thrilled with it! The apartment is beautifully decorated, in a safe lovely neighborhood just steps away from the Wall, and has good air conditioning which we very much appreciated! Make sure to walk the wall in the evenings, get gelato each day, and try the local restaurants in the city center!
Massimo is such a wonderful host! We have stayed at quite a few VRBO properties and he is one of the best hosts we have ever met. He welcomed us to the property with kindness, a bottle of wine for our anniversary, and a smile! He recommended a number of great local restaurants and several things to do in Lucca, all of which we tried and enjoyed. In addition, he is always available via WhatsApp if you have any questions. Lucca is a wonderful city and we will definitely return to stay at Massimo's place again in the future!
Massimo, grazie per la vostra ospitalità! Siamo lieti di averti incontrato e speriamo di rivederti presto

The apartment is as fantastic as the pictures suggest, and Massimo is the perfect host. The location is perfect for access to the mediaeval city of Lucca, with all it's fascinating history, and excellent restaurants. Pros:
We just stayed at this apartment for a week to explore Lucca and surrounding area. The apartment in Lucca is perfectly located just outside the city. It is only a few minutes to walk to the city walls and the Centro Storico (historical center) of the city. The apartment is also conveniently located near the Autostrada, so you can quickly get to Florence 1hr, Siena1.5 hs and Pisa 30 minutes). Lucca is absolutely amazing. It is such a charming little city with tons of great restaurants and lots of history. The apartment was well appointed. The rooms were amazing and very comfortable. The apartment also had AC, which was left on before we arrived. The weather was hot, so having a nice cool place to return to was great. The host, Massimo, left several household items (olive oil, sugar, salt, etc...), so we were able to move right in without having to buy several things that would eventually go to waste. He also answered all of our questions, and personally greeted us on our arrival, and on our departure. During the trip, we used WhatsApp to contact him and he was always available to help us with anything we needed. He also left us several recommendations for restaurants and shops and provided directions to get around. The apartment also had dedicated parking for at least two cars,. We never had to worry about parking.
Con: Electricity for A/C add'. Totally worth the additional 80 euros we had to pay.
Massimo was Great.
