The property was very clean and welcoming, perfect for a quick weekend getaway with a hot tub and close to wineries.

This was a perfect location for my husband and I. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.
1.0
It was a single wide trailer, with an addition. The view of Seneca Lake was removed based on the over grown trees. The second bedroom was an air mattress. It needs a lot of updates.
5.0
Very quiet and comforting. Serenity all around.

Nice it was off road and by the lake. Does need some upgrade and maintenance. But overall it was a good experience.

The house was very clean and welcoming. Perfect for a quick weekend get away. We loved the hot tub and the short walk down the road to the water. A really nice diner right up the road for breakfast and close to all the wineries. Highly recommend!

Location is great for getting around to all of the places my husband and I love. Not sure we’d stay here again though, it was a cute little trailer, but we’re tall. H’s 6’4” and was hitting his head on the ceiling in the shower and on entryways. Mattresses could use replacing too- but the couch was super comfortable, water pressure amazing, and views from the end of the street after a short stroll to the bench are fabulous. Overall we’re glad we stayed as a last minute booking for Labor Day weekend close to several of our favorite places.

We had a wonderful stay in Dresden.

They sent an email saying to bring our trash bags and coffee filters that no paper goods would be provided. It was was a trailer which you could see in the picture but all the extra hoops were frustrating.

Great property and hot tub, but host was unresponsive until after check-out.

Great location near wineries and hiking trails. Very comfortable and clean mobile home. Views of the lake do not match images on site.

The property certainly suited our needs and provided a safe and clean place for our stay

It is an older mobile home but it was clean. They had the air conditioner running so it was nice and cool when we arrived. They had the hot tub already heated for us when we arrived which felt amazing after our long drive.

Perfect location and comfortable

To begin, you can call it a cottage, but it sure looked and felt like a trailer. Very clean and with all the necessities. We had a nice stay, but I feel it is overpriced. Next time I would look into other properties owned by this host

Location was as described, close to the lake but not lake access. Check-in and out were smooth, host was responsive to any questions. We used this space minimally while enjoying the wine trails which are easily accessible. Could use a deep clean, but no issues and the hot tub was lovely.

We had a great time. The property is private and in a quiet location. It was a very cute and cozy place to stay. Hot tub was great. We enjoyed the short walk to the lake. Property was extremely clean and well maintained.

Quiet, private property close to water , wineries & parks..Very clean.. loved the hot tub! Thank you!

Great experience. Place was older but well kept & cleaned well. Hot tub was new & big. No dishwasher as listed though & not much to eat as far as dinners go so I cooked most our meals there then had to hand wash everything. That was thr only drawback. Otherwise easy to find, easy to navigate area.

My family and I loved the property, we’ll definitely be back.

Great stay - as advertised
Cute, private, secluded, convenient to wineries and good restaurants. Hot tub and outdoor space are very relaxing

Save Your Money
Should be described as an overpriced, single wide on a large lot with barely any views. The photos are extremely old, misleading you to think you have some nice lake views when really you’re looking at a chain link fence and the neighbors cars/driveway. I was hoping it wasn’t as bad as other reviews since the host has so many stars but unfortunately there’s too much bad and the price is absurd for what you get.
Mold/mildew in the bathroom, possibly elsewhere. Mold in the AC units that haven’t been cleaned in maybe forever. A main door that doesn’t actually lock. A single ceiling fan that I’m shocked didn’t fall onto the table as we ate. An enclosed porch foundation that is falling apart and is a safety concern.
The “beach” nearby is not a beach, it’s a park with stairs into the lake. Better for kayak launch, don’t plan on swimming there.
If you need to talk to the host ahead of time call because they won’t respond to any of the email addresses.
If you have a pet, the fees aren’t setup right when you book. That’s either the host or VRBOs fault. You’ll get an email after staying trying to tell you you actually owed more for the pet fee but they’re not going to charge it. Sounds like a scam to me. Been using VRBO for years and never had a host come back and say the fees weren’t calculated right.
Pros - large yard for dogs if needed, clean linens with a good supply, kitchen is stocked with supplies for cooking in, wifi signal is great, TV works fine, town is quiet.
I already sent a detailed email to the host with our list of concerns and why we feel this place is overpriced and falsely advertised. Leaving a formal review per VRBO request since I had issues.

STAY AWAY
Property is not even close to what it is described as. The owner per the neighbors will try and scam you for every Deposit dollar, in which he did to me. The place stinks and is a falling apart trailer. Not a Lake House. You can’t even use the Lake at this location because it is Private Property. Please do yourself a favor and skip this property. I have stayed at over 200 properties and this is the first negative review I have ever left!!!

As described
The cottage/trailer was as described. A little dated as the pictures show but the cheapest option I could find in the area with a hot tub. It suited what we wanted just fine. Nothing fancy but the owners are accommodating and the in house massages were amazing. It was perfect for a weekend get away to relax and close to many attractions.
Thanks so much for the opportunity and place to stay.

Everything was as advertised. View of the lake from the hot tub was great.

Disappointing
We have rented many vacation homes and this was the worst. When we arrived the steps were covered in ice, the place smelled musty, moldy and dusty. Lawn was littered with debris. Had a difficult time connecting with the Wi-Fi, the network and password were incorrect and having contacted one of the owners still didn’t work. One person took a shower which was in cold water. Hot tub was old and dirty from the outside, which we didn’t use and this was the one amenities we were looking forward to using. Felt unsafe as the door did not lock securely to the trailer. Directions informed us to turn the heat down before we left and we were unable to do so. We contacted owner to inform them and that we were leaving a day early. The directions also informed us to load the dishwasher, but there wasn’t a dishwasher. Their reply was thank you.

Black Friday weekend on seneca lake
clean but could use some TLC, a tub mat or non-slip surface in the tub would be helpful. Would stay here again..

no lake access
our rental was right on the lake, you could see it from the window, but when you walk down to the lake you are told that it's private property and you have to drive to some public beach.
we assumed by the photos we were lake front. if we were told
we could not swim there, we wouldn't have rented. otherwise
the place was nice.

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Very comfortable for me and my husband.

While the online description was technically accurate, it felt like the property was not what we expected. It was clean and the owner did answer back when we had questions it didn't feel like the warm contact we've had with other owners. The picture of the property must have been taken either before the foliage leafed out or a while ago before the bushes grew in because our view was a fraction of what was pictured. We could walk down the 100 yards to the lake but there was no swimming and on either side of the overlook were personal properties, one labeled private property keep out. So we couldn't really enjoy the lake itself except for sitting on a bench with other people driving down to do the same. While the description did not advertise a dishwasher, if you read through all the instructions it does mention to put all dishes in the dishwasher when leaving so I can see how some might expect that amenity. The location was good, fairly close to lots of things so if you are looking for a place to crash and not spend much time it could be fine. The AC situation is two room units on either end of the trailer so it was fine until the second bed room wanted to sleep with the door closed and it was extremely hot and stuffy. Luckily we found a fan and that helped on subsequent nights. After a day trip we came home to find a tag on the door reporting an exterminator had treated the property for rodents and had our dog been with us that could have been a big issue if she got into the newly baited traps listed on the door tag.All in all, pretty good location, clean but not what we expected.

Spent two nights here. Very clean, quiet location. Well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Giving overall rating of four because outside area could be improved a bit but quite adequate for cooking eating and relaxing. Not deserving of some of the bad reviews given. We had a lovely time.

Dresden Property Review
Things I liked: property was in the quiet town of Dresden which is 25 minutes from Watkins Glen, 5 minutes from Penn Yan and multiple nice wineries all close by. The property was very clean inside with no issues to note except one of the beds where you literally sink into it because it is so soft. I liked the quaint porch and seating outside but there is a lot of yard cleanup this place needed the weekend I was there with my wife. I felt that the view was deceiving and since that is one of the things I was really looking forward to it should be mentioned. The lake is a few hundred yards away but you really can’t see it from the property and walking to it would require you to stroll through other people’s property which I was not comfortable with. Alternatively you could walk out to the street and down to the lake but you are basically In Someone’s backyard when you get to the lake. The property is also 6 ‘ from the Naval warfare center with the barbed wire fence right there. Be ready to be an early riser in the morning. The mansion on the property is very cool but also condemned. I would love to have had a chance to check it out but even as we were walking around it and checking in the windows we were immediately contacted to stay off the porch because we were being watched with the cameras. That was a little offsetting too because it was not that easy to get a response to phone calls inquiring about the check in process in advance of our stay. All in all, the property served the purpose of providing a place to stay.

OK property. Not nearly as close to the lake as expected. Definitely needs some upgrading.

Stay
The place was fine.. I thought it would be way more secluded. The pictures online are deceiving. It looked like the property was alone, no neighbors and close to the water but there are 3 other houses in front of you and then the water. I thought there was a dock we could use and there was none. There was no dishwasher like in the listing so I had to wash all the dishes by hand. Had to clean up everything otherwise get a charge which is ridiculous. I didn’t go in vacation for a weekend to clean up after myself. It was not what I was expecting and don’t plan to return. The place was clean and fine otherwise. I just don’t understand how it could be so expensive and I had to clean up everything. I could have stayed closer to Watkins Glen, pay less and not be expected to clean everything up myself and leave a whole tip for the “housekeeper”.
