Stunning outside area with amazing views. Property well equipped and spotlessly clean. Host friendly with good communication. Overall, very good experience.

We had such a relaxing stay at this beautiful property with a great view of the sea from it's picturesque location on a hilltop, near an olive tree plantation and surrounded by a well-kept garden filled with Mediterranean plants. The pool was also fantastic and clean.
And Salvatore is the best.
Don't try to pick the cactus fruit with your bare hands, that was a rookie mistake, ouch!

We stayed in Eoliana for almost 3 weeks (26/9-15/10) and enjoyed every single minute of it.
Villa is well located in quiet area overlooking the sea. Nice drive to it, car is a must. We enjoyed western part of Sicily full of dramatic landscapes while not too tourist overdeveloped or crowded. Good timing after main season = less people, not too hot.
Salvatore also arranged car rental for us incl airport pickup/drop off at very inconvenient flight schedule. Also boat trip to Zingaro arranged by him was a highlight.
There is nothing really on a downside at this place. Book and enjoy!

At our arrival we were greeted by the owner who spent with us a couple of hours giving us tips about the area(where to go, to eat, to shop). We found the house sparkling clean (the cleanest so far in many years of renting). All furniture and facilities are new as well as all kitchen tools (cutleries, ceramic plates and cookwares). They also provided all linen and towels, bathrobes for each of us included.Among the facilities, the house is fully air-conditioned, flat screens TV (we watched Olimpyc Games) outside there are also very handy electric barbecue we used quite frequently as well as washing machine. No worry for the water, owner is taking care of checking and refilling when needed. The garden is also very nice and the owners are particularly taking care of it.
The house is located in a very peaceful area and it is a good starting point for visiting beautiful Sicily (Tonnara di Scopello, San Vito Lo capo, Riserva dello Zingaro, Segesta and Selinunte, Erice).
I higly recommend this villa and I would like to thank Salvatore and his family for their kindness and assistance, let alone the splendid tour by boat in Riserva dello Zingaro.

We went with 4 people to scopello in June 2011.
It was pleasant stay.
i thought the description on the website was very accurate.
The house is not far from scopello, but you'll need a cart go there, because it is on a hill. The house has 2 bedrooms, and a small bedroom for children. One thing which is good to know is that the 2nd bedroom with queen-size bed is situated on the entresol above the living room/kitchen. So when one person wakes up early, the people sleeping up there will wake up too.
Besides this, it is a very pleasant and quiet house. Clean, well equiped kitchen, bedroom is good, more showers, to shower at the same time. Good barbecue, etc.
The owner was helpful and provided us with information of the things to do and where to go for food, good beaches and so. He sounded like a pro tourist guide!
I'd recommend the property to my friends, but what you have to keep in mind is the time of the year to go to Scopello. Before mid-june and after august, you can enjoy a relaxed holiday in this area, but in high season it is more crowded with tourists. If you don't mind that, no problem. And if you are by car, you can make day trips to more quiet villages, beaches and areas.
In Scopello, and close to Scopello, you'll find plenty good restaurants, beaches and nature to go to. Some big sandy beaches, but also small bays with rocks and stone beaches. All within a 20 minutes drive.
One thing I found a bit disappointing, is that you have to pay entrances fee for the beach/sea in Scopello. The beach is at the famous tonneria of Scopello, a must see, but if you want to go to the beach there everyday, it'll cost you a fortune! So we spent our time on other beaches in the area.
All together is is a very nice house, perfect located on a mountain with beautiful view. The area is beautiful, with lot's of possibilities to go to the beach and visit typical Sicilian cities en eat the best food!

This was our first trip to Sicily, and definitely wont be the last - and we will more than likely try to stay at Villa Eoliana again.
My wife and I arrived on the Friday, and Salvatore was a most wonderful host. He was friendly and helpful whenever it was needed. Prior to our arrival I had a myriad of questions, all of which were answered without hassle and in great detail. His knowledge of the area and attractions is great, and when he rattles off the list of things to do I am sure that something will jump out for everyone.
The property is beautifully cared for, and a wonderful place to spend a long weekend. The view is amazing, and the peace and quite remarkable. Very comfortable, and well equipped for any break. It has accommodation for six, and although we were only two I don't think six would be a squash.
Scopello as a destination is something off a postcard, a quaint little village with bustling people always smiling. We were in fact very surprised by the friendliness, as we had heard stories to the contrary - but everyone we met (locals) smiled and waved. The English wasn't always understood, but that is like lots of foreign places - but here they still make the effort to assist where they can.
We spent our days lazing in the sun, walking through the village or nearby nature reserve, or exploring the nearby town.
All in all - we had a wonderful stay, and cannot wait to go back and visit again.

Villa Eoliana is a new villa with an attractively landscaped garden. It's comfortable well equipped and we really enjoyed our stay here. The view is truly breathtaking over Castelemare del Golfo and because it's quite high up in the hills it tends to get a refreshing breeze. The town of scopello has a charming square and a number of decent restaurants. While the area itself is less built up than the rest of this part of the Sicilian coast. salvatore was very helpful and we took advantage of his car hire offer which made the journey to and from the airport much easier. Overall very good.

2500 words are not enough to describe this amazing house, location wise or price wise. Breathtaking views over the Gulf of Castelamare, just 40 min driving from Palermo airport and probably just the same from Trapani airport.
As about the host, Salvatore couldn't be more helpful, with books, indications and advice. Really nice chap.
Definitely recommend Villa Eoliana for a long stay or just a weekend away with friends.

This was my second summer holiday in the lovely Villa Eoliana, situated in the truly beautiful surrounding hills of the historic village of Scopello. The villa is just as perfect for a romantic stay with your partner, as for a friends getaway or a family holiday with children. Salvatore is the perfect host, who will go to great lengths to make sure you have everything you need. There is more than enough space for everyone, a great rustic kitchen, air-conditioning should you feel the heat overwhelming, an inside bathroom and two outside showers, a solarium and a little garden. The view of the golfo from the terrace, is spectacular, and makes you want to stay put in awe for the rest of your stay. Terrace evenings under the stars and the twinkling lights from the golfo, spent contemplating, with a glass of sicilian wine, after a sumptous meal prepared on the outside barbecue, the perfume of sea and sun on your skin, and the sound of the sikadas playing their tunes....need I go on? You will not want to leave the Villa! You should definetely tear yourself away now and again though, and venture into the Zingaro reserve in search of a beautiful cove and azure water during daytime, and try some of the really good restaurants in Scopello in the evenings. The village is only a 5-minute drive from the Villa Eoliana, and if you are really up for stepping out of the recluse, gourgeous and fascinating Palermo is only a half hour drive away, as is stunning Erice and Segesta, and many other beautiful "must-see" places. Thus it is perfectly possible to spend hours at the beach in San Vito lo Capo, have lunch at the Cantina Siciliana in Trapani, and dinner at the Kursaal Kalhesa after wandering round Palermo - all in one day! It is most tempting to keep the Villa Eoliana a secret, but as long as you do not book my week at the villa, and promise to treat the place with loving respect, I do recommend that you try it, if you want a holiday away from it all and close to nature, but still close enough to some creative chaos, should you need a drop of, as a trip to Italy, not to mention la bella Sicilia, always entails. Thank you Salvatore!
