Bryn Goleu is a beautiful property, with the recent modern kitchen extension really making this a stunning place to stay and maximise the enjoyment of the incredible countryside views. Our family had a wonderful time (despite the wet and blustery storms experienced during our stay!) with the property being comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The location was great for exploring the coast around the peninsula as well as walks from the doorstep with the dogs.
It certainly lived up to our high expectations, however on arrival we were disappointed to see lots of crumbs in the kitchen, floors that required us to-re-mop, a broken shower bracket meaning we couldn’t use one of the showers properly, and a faulty TV remote in one of the bedrooms making it unusable.
We hadn’t picked up on a few aspects to the property prior to booking that would have been useful to have seen in the details, such as the garden not being fully secure so we had to keep a close eye on our dogs and children, a few steps inside and outside the property that we hadn’t spotted in the photos, and the recently laid new patio having quite a drop off the one side into a ditch with barbed wire (where the patio furniture liked to end up during the storms!) which has no barrier/railing. Not an issue for most prospective holidaymakers but as daughter is visually and mobility impaired, this was quite dangerous for her and meant she couldn’t roam safely, so this would have been useful to know prior to booking.

We had a truly memorable time away with family here. The listing doesn’t do the property justice. It’s huge, incredibly well appointed and has breathtaking views from nearly every window.
There wasn’t a sound for miles to disturb your sleep and the furnishings are of a good specification and very comfortable. It happily accommodated our group of 6, 2 more would be easy to fit too.
It’s well located to Abersoch beach and surrounds, has good solid Wi-Fi throughout for the pre teens’ devices and enough equipment in the kitchen to cook up a storm. The bbq appears brand new and worked perfectly.
We’d love to come back some time.

Loved everything about this cottage. Perfect for a group ranging in ages from 16-81! Jenny & Bryn have thought of everything & made our stay so comfortable. The views to Hell’s Mouth are stunning & so peaceful. We will definitely be back.

We loved staying there. The place looks better in reality then on the pics. Lovely and clean, a lot of space and big garden.
The only problem was with not big enough fridge however we managed it anyway.

Bryn Goleu was breathtakingly beautiful and just perfect for our weekend away with family and friends to celebrate a special birthday. It was warm and cosy, very clean and felt home from home.

It had everything we needed. Very comfortable home.
We struggled a little with the internal stairs (3) along the ground floor on a stone tile floor. A hand towel per person would have been helpful. Beautiful scenery.

It was a very special holiday for us 7, our youngest back from.Australia where she lives, our two grandchildren and our eldest and son in law. We had space to chill, we were able to sit 7 of us cosily on the squidgy wonderful.sofas. The two dogs were in heaven. The views were stupendous and the house very well equipped. Only comment is a bigger fridge would have been preferable but everything else was super. We want to return next year with the family and dogs again. The peace and quiet was wonderful. We loved going to Hell's Mouth Beach too. Thank you.

We were two families with young children and loved our time staying at the cottage. Great facilities, clean, homely and spacious with stunning views. Jenny was a fantastic host and easy to communicate with. Only a 15 minute drive to Abersoch and a variety of local beaches.

Amazing view and beautiful cottage
Excellent stay at this beautiful cottage. The views are amazing and the garden out front let us really enjoy the calm and relaxing surroundings. Everything was lean and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the comfy living room. Beaches nearby and horse riding made it a great holiday

NYE BREAK
The cottage is lovely. Perfect getaway for two families of four. The location is remote but beautiful. We could even see the sea in the distance and managed a walk to the sea with the children. The near by beaches are a 15 min drive away and we enjoyed a dip in the sea on New Year’s Day!!
Communication with the host was great.
Would definitely recommend

Welsh Cottage
Nicely modernized old welsh cottage tucked into the hill side over looking the valley and the sea. It was great to share this well appointed family vacation home. We were interested to read the history of the property that the owners had found while we sat in front of the enormous fire stone fire place.

Lovely property
Overall a very nice property. Good that they have emergency torches too, as we had a power cut during our stay which wasn't great when you have a young baby. But the place is lovely. Clean, well presented and great shower and bath. I would recommend if you like being away from everything. The weather was awful so we found ourselves blocked at times due to flooding. Personally I would only revisit in spring or summer, but each to their own.
Overall, though, its,a lovely place and we had a very nice stay.

Lovely stay
The house was ideal for our very mixed requirements, a group of friends who like to get together once a year. Wonderful riding just 10 minutes away, fabulous canters along grassy tracks: swimming at Towey beach, totally deserted, beautiful scenery: great coastal walks: scrambling mountain climbs, and wonderful views from the house ; great evenings in the sitting room eating and making and playing music, Lovely times.

Beautiful rural location
Lovely house with amazing views. Very peaceful. Well equipped - coffee maker is a cafetière not a machine which is what I had assumed from the property details. The only downsides were only 1 shower for 6 adults (just a bath in bathroom) which ran out of water if we took too long and had to wait for a while for more water! Also, had to go everywhere by car as too far to walk to any pub/restaurant. Lovely place to relax.

Lovely Welsh property with views
We had a lovely stay at the property and everything was as described. Walks from the front door to the top and around Carn Fadryn, where you have a 360 degree view of the whole of the Llyn and Snowdonia, were lovely. Would book again.

We were blown away by this property. The views over the welsh hills/ ocean are incredible and the property was immensely comfortable and convenient for trips to Abersoch, Aberdaron and Morfa Nefyn. We couldn’t have asked for more- even the weather was beautiful all week. 5 stars.

A lovely house and lovely peaceful place
It’s a wonderful property to stay at, a real fine. We’ve been more than once, and the weather has always been terrible, but when the wind dies down and the clouds disappear the views are amazing and the air is fresh. You can’t help but relax here.
Always clean, and well maintained, Jenny the owner is a joy, and no doubt we’ll be back again.

Incredible cottage in a beautiful location
I stayed at Jenny’s cottage with four friends for 5 days over Christmas 2019. We were absolutely blown away on arrival - the pictures do not do this property justice! The kitchen is very well appointed with everything we needed for an indulgent festive dinner. The lounge room was spacious and comfortable and Jenny had find to the effort of putting up Christmas decorations for us. The fireplace was a delight and the bedrooms warm and comfortable. The cottage is very private with a beautiful view, and was exactly the kind of spot we were looking for. We are very eager to return in summer so that we can make full use of the outdoor space and tick some more beaches and hikes off the list. Would highly recommend to any travellers looking for a quiet and comfortable break!

Pre-Christmas Family Weekend
We arrived on Friday evening in the dark after a two hour drive. Unfortunately we did get slightly lost as we followed Google maps and should’ve followed the directions given via email. We were soon in and making ourselves at home. The heating was on and most rooms were warm. One of the radiators in the furthest bedroom was cool. However we cooked dinner in the very well appointed kitchen and soon warmed up. Waking up the following morning revealed the most stunning views, over rolling hills and to the sea beyond. We would love to come back when the weather is warmer and the days are longer and really take advantage of this stunning location. As a family we have made some precious memories. Jenny responded quickly to all my communications and we were delight to be able to check out a little later on Sunday. Thank you!

Stunning holiday cottage
Beautifully restored - this cottage was a pleasure to stay in. Exactly what we wanted - away from everything so we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside. All the modern amenities that you could wish for whilst on holiday with an extra touch of luxury. This cottage is truly a credit to Jenny and Bryn - thank you both for a wonderful holiday! 😊

Fantastic place for a get away
Superb property in an idyllic location. Very spacious, lovely decor with quality kitchen and bathroom fittings. Lots of lovely little touches and attention to detail. Great garden for the kids to play in, and with the amazing lovely Bank Holiday weather a great place for the adults to sit with a couple of bottles and the BBQ.

Beautifully appointed cottage with stunning views
The cottage is located right in the centre of the peninsula, under the striking profile of Garnfadryn, so you are perfectly placed for touring the area. It's incredibly quiet, reached by a series of narrow country roads - happily, the owners give you excellent instructions for arriving. Everything is very clean and pleasant, the kitchen spacious and well appointed.

Words cannot describe this little gem!
We attended this cottage in the midst of Feb as a group of 4 friends.
The first thing that we noticed was that the photos just don't do it justice, the photos look great but the place is even better. Beautiful location with amazing views, we even sat outside one night with a bottle of wine just to enjoy the countryside silence. Nobody spoke for about 30 minutes as we took it in!
Rooms are spacious, well decorated and the kitchen comes well stocked with everything we needed.
I suspect we will return several times!
