My family enjoyed the proximity to town as well as the roomy quality of the home itself. The owner was very responsive to questions and issues.

As a group of 4 friends we stayed for a week in January. The property is perfectly located a 5-10 min walk from the centre of town, so away from the bustle and noise but a quick walk. Also the excellent MBC brewery/bar/restaurant is about 2 mins away (get in early as very - rightly so - popular). There's a big garden to the front and parking for a couple of cars. The property itself is in traditional wood style and very warm. Coming into ground floor hallway you have stairs up to first floor and another staircase down to basement area, a boot and coat storage area and toilet with basin. Through the hallway is a large open plan living area with a well equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, big dining table and sofa with TV area. There is a large fridge freezer, Dishwasher (Unless I'm blind, I don't see this listed in the property details - should be), oven with convection hob as well as toaster, etc. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans (Kitchen knives could do with sharpening). 1 bedroom and shower room downstairs and 3 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. All good sized. Only gripe, lack of basics on arrival (shops closed Sunday). Half toilet rolls, no soap, no dishwasher tabs, cooking oil etc. First time I've had a rental without anything. Didn't expect milk and bread but soap, couple of washing tabs, cooking oil would be great. 10 people staying might've had issues with lack of toilet roll!
This said, beautiful place, thoroughly recommend. Best place I've stayed in Chamonix.

Loved staying in this part of Chamonix. Close enough to walk to town and yet felt we were in the countryside. And if you prefer to catch the city bus, the stop is nearby. Loved waking up to the beautiful views and the sound of cowbells! The kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed for two families. Our sons enjoyed the lower level where they slept beautifully. I especially appreciated the owner's kindness in making sure earrings I left behind were returned to me. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Chamonix, will definitely seek out this chalet.

We booked Keith's chalet very last-minute for this year's autumn break, as COVID-19 restrictions in the various Alpine countries were constantly changing. We had a great week!
The chalet is in a great location, with the city center at an easy walking distance, yet in more quiet and green surroundings.
The chalet itself is very nice, and we stayed with two families - 7 persons in total - plus dog. The chalet is not big, and the bedroom in the souterrain is maybe more suitable for kids than adults without much natural light coming in, but the living area is especially nice, with a good atmosphere, a very usable kitchen and a nice dining table to spend a great time.
Things like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, toilet and kitchen paper, etc. were all present, unlike in some rentals, where you have to buy everything new.
And of course Chamonix itself is a very nice place, where we've been able to make great hikes - some directly from the chalet, and others after an easy drive!
All in all definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Ingrid. The location for our summer time visit was superb. Walking distance to town, sports centre, shops and cafes one way and easy access to the river and bike trails the other. The Chalet was comfortable and well equipped. We have given it just four stars because some areas could have been cleaner., for example inside the cupboards and the outside terrace area. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and charming. We were disappointed that the rooms downstairs were not of the same standard. as the rest of the house. They would be fine for younger children or babies but the lack of natural light and only two small upper windows for the whole area, made the lower floor less attractive as a place to spend time.

A lovely, warm and inviting home for our family ski holiday.
We were two families enjoying a ski holiday over half term - Feb 2019. We had a lovely stay in your warm and cosy Chalet. The kitchen is fully equipped which made our nights in easy to prepare food and enjoy the atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water for the 8 of us. The beds were comfortable and the views were spectacular. A nice walk into town allowed us all to have a drink or two and not worry about driving. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

Fantastic chalet in the perfect location
We stayed at Chalet Ingrid during July/August 2018 with a family of three and another couple. The chalet was nicely set back from the main road so was lovely and quiet, the location from the main town of Chamonix was perfect being close enough to walk in to but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The Chalet had three nice bedrooms on the upper floor with a master bathroom servicing them, on the lower ground floor there was another large twin room that we used as a double with a shower room servicing this bedroom. The lower bedroom was beautifully cool and quiet at night and we loved this about the house, there was a nice kitchen and lounge area with a large dining table that we liked. The garden and decked area was perfect in the hot afternoons as there was plenty of shade from the surrounding trees with extra shade on the decking provided by the motorised awning. Keith the owner was very helpful before and during our visit and was happy to answer any issues or queries we had, he even managed to source for us some free travel tickets for the train that runs up and down the Cham valley. We have stayed in and around Chamonix for the last 15 years and this is our favourite chalet to date. If you have a family of between 4 and 8 This is a perfect chalet and location for a outdoor adventure holiday to the Alps.

We came from Santa Barbara, California to Chamonix. After a broken train, a meandering bus ride, and quite a bit of rain, we arrived at the Chamonix train station around 10pm. If we did not have 163 kg of luggage on us, we probably would have walked to the house, but we opted for a taxi. Found the house and settled in with no problems. When we awoke the next day, we could not have been more impressed with the views out every window. Wow. Those Alps are steep and high and super close!
We did not have a car and thus walked just about everywhere. The house is a five minute walk to the bus stops up or down the valley. We skied Brevent, Flagere, LeTour and Courmayeur. Brevent is the closest to the house, but also the furthest away (it's a long walk with skis), LeTour had the best sun and snow (it was overcast/foggy most of the week), Flagere has great runs and views, and the kids liked Courmayeur the best.
The house is well equipped and everything worked. We ate in a couple of nights and the kitchen worked out fine. The grocery store is a long ten minute walk ;) and has everything you need. We loved Chamonix and will carry fond memories of our week there together.

Great location, and plenty of space for our big family. The kitchen was also very well equipt!
A lovely chalet, a short walk from the Centre on a quiet road.
I would recommend this chalet for families or big groups. The kitchen/living space was well used and was nice and warm after a long day on the slopes.
The chalet is a also a short walk from Chamonix's micro brewery- which became a regular hangout during our stay.

Chalet Ingrid is a lovely chalet in a great location within easy walking distance to Chamonix centre, the microbrewery, a bakery, bus stop and ski rental. It sits away from a quiet road at the end of a little cul-de-sac, and in the snow it is picture perfect and very peaceful. We were 5 adult friends staying for one week and it was just right for us. The garage was very handy for our wintersport paraphernalia, although the hallway was a little squeezed with 5 pairs of skiboots and there is no drying room, but it wasn't really an issue once we got organised. We found the chalet well equipped and a very relaxing place to be after an energetic day out. The owner, Keith, helpfully answered all my queries prior to the trip and even answered a text query on a Friday night. My friends and I all agreed we would be very happy to return!

A refaire!!!

We found Chalet Ingrid to be perfectly situated, cosy, warm and homely. Well equipped kitchen and great kitchen/living space which worked really well for our family holiday. The kids loved the big tv screen, and also enjoyed being able to walk into town on their own in the evenings if they wanted to. Good eating and shopping in Chamonix as always... we had a very successful holiday here.

Chalet Ingrid was an ideal location for our family of skiers and non-skiers. The property was very clean and well maintained. Keith was very helpful and prompt with answers to any questions we had. The accommodation was plenty big enough even with 8 adults. We look forward to another trip to Chalet Ingrid in the near future! The Chapman Family.

We just came back from Chamonix, where we stayed in Chalet Ingrid. We had a fantastic time and the chalet lived up to all our expectations. The location was superb - less than 10 mins walk from Chamonix town centre and within easy reach of all ski areas. The facilities were great too - especially the big dining room with the fireplace and the hot tub. We are already thinking of coming back again next winter.
