About this apartment rental

Excellent location for your weekend or week-long getaway. Private, cozy, 1 bed only 10 min walk from the city center. Quiet area with a bakery, mini market and small restaurants a few minutes away. Close to all UNESCO World Heritage sites, 45 minutes by car from the famous vineyards of Margaux, Saint Emilion, etc., and 45 minutes by car from the beach, Arcachon and Cap Ferret.

Tastefully decorated 50m2 apartment on the ground floor of a house. High ceilings, limestone wall, open floor plan, bedroom with ceiling fan, kitchen has all necessary appliances. Living room with bay windows overlooking the garden, with a small table and chairs. The sofa bed is for one adult or two children (130cm wide). A bathroom with Italian shower and WC. All linens and linens provided. Dining room for meals in the kitchen. Living room with sofa and chair, large screen HD TV, WiFi Internet access, Ethernet plug.

Bus stop right outside the house, bike rental across the street.

Compulsory costs not included in the price: cleaning (€ 25) and city tax (0.90 € / day / person).

We absolutely enjoyed our 3-day-stay at Desiree‘s apartment. It‘s near the city, but very quiet, well equipped, beautiful designed and has a romantic small flower garden to sit in and have a glass of wine. Desiree is a great and super friendly host - she provides a lot of insider informations and is easy to reach.

This the most beautiful and well equipped VRBO we have ever experienced. The apartment and its garden offer a serene place from which to explore Bordeaux. Every amenity was provided by our hosts who also kindly drove us to a medical facility for treatment of an ankle sprain and stayed with us to provide French translation. Highly recommend this property!

We can’t say enough positive things about this ground-level apartment with a private entrance through a gorgeous garden. The apartment was beautifully furnished and well maintained. The kitchen contained everything one might need for sophisticated cooking. Desiree was a warm and welcoming host, greeting us on our arrival to show us through the apartment and its amenities. The location had convenient access to a small grocery store and restaurants. Public transportation made it easy to get to major attractions in the city. We rented a car only to get to areas outside the city (e.g., wineries).

What can we say, it is perfect and over & above our expectations. Everything supplied by the wonderful host is top class and very generous in what is provided. Would recommend it to anyone spending time in wonderful Bordeaux. Will stay again when we return.

We loved everything about this home. The host, Desiree, was wonderful. She met us at her home, and she explained everything about the home, the area, etc. She gave great recommendations, and while we couldn't try/do all of them because of our short stay (4 days), we loved all that we did and saw in Bordeaux. Desiree even welcomed us with wine, chocolates and a baguette. We walked everywhere, and we did a bike tour as well, and the location to everything is very good.

Beautiful apartment, with every amenity imaginable! Desiree ensured we had everything to make our stay as homely as possible. Great comms, and recommendations. Smooth check in and easy check out. Desiree should be an interior designer. The place was very chic!

This place is fabulous in a quiet neighborhood that’s a 15-minute minute walk to the center of the old town. The apartment has everything you need to live comfortably. The queen bed is great, the shower is fabulous, and the hostess is very friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Bordeaux again, I want to stay here. Thanks Désirée for making this such a memorable stay in Bordeaux.

We booked this during the Rugby World Cup and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Desirée was in contact as soon as we’d booked to understand the purpose of our stay and how she could help. We were sent helpful and extensive tourist information and ad hoc information about the city in advance of our trip so we could plan the best places to go to. Upon arrival, Desirée was there to greet us and show us around the fantastic apartment. The apartment was clean, modern and in a lovely location about 10 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of the city in a quiet neighbourhood area. Desirée’s hospitality and her lovely apartment was a highlight of our trip in Bordeaux and would definitely recommend to others looking for a city break.

This apartment and the host, Désirée are both fabulous. Her attention to detail is beyond what is expected. I appreciate the time she spent with us reviewing maps, bus schedules, etc. For years I have stayed throughout Europe in apartments and this one is by far at the top of my list. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely stay with a wonderful host.

My husband and I stayed in this beautifully decorated apartment for 10 days. We lacked nothing as our host provided more than the norm-both information and provisions. The garden is such a bonus and lovely to enjoy with a glass of wine at the end of a day of sightseeing. Desiree could not have been more helpful-a true delight. Her restaurant suggestions were perfect as were her ideas on what to see. The kitchen was well equipped, a grocery nearby, comfortable bed and great shower. Would highly recommend Grain, a Boulangerie, a few blocks away. This apartment is a true gem and you will not be disappointed

Truly enjoyed our three day stay in our VRBO in Bordeaux, March 2023. Hostess, Desiree, was fabulous. So welcoming and accommodating in every way. Loved all the personal touches. The courtyard is an added bonus. Enjoyed the beautiful spring flowers in bloom. Great location and walking distance to the City Center allowing the opportunity to see all the historical sites. What a lovely place to stay for a weekend in Bordeaux - a great location, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fantastic bathroom and a great kitchen with lots of appliances and cookware. Desiree was an exceptional host. She was very friendly and went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay, telling us where great local bars and restaurants were located as well as ensuring we knew how to get to all the major tourist attractions. This flat is so charming and so are the hosts. The location is an easy walk to shopping, the tram or city center and St Catherine St shopping. The hosts provide plenty of information, maps, and recommendations for the Bordeaux area. The garden is a calm oasis and the kitchen has anything you need for cooking. A place for everything and everything in its place. Beautiful decor, plenty of space, a comfy bed, and a great shower. Will stay here again!

Bordeaux is absolutely amazing and this flat is not only close to the historic centre (15-20 minutes walk), but it also has numerous brasseries, patisseries, and several very charming local restaurants very near by (5 minutes walk). And the flat itself is a very comfortable, beautiful, and well maintained property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Desiree went out of her way to make the apartment welcoming and ready to use. A starter pack of grocery essentials are already there. A wonderful way to start your holiday without having to go grocery shopping immediately. Lovely garden with your morning coffee. One of the best VRBO apartments we have ever stayed at.

This is excellent. Very private and quiet as a result of the private courtyard. Beautifully equipped with full kitchen, and entertainment centre. Very tastefully decorated and spotless. The owner met us and went over everything in the apartment as well as giving a great overview of the city and answered all our questions. Thank You Desiree!!

Our time at this property was too short to fully enjoy all that was offered. The apartment was tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was complete enough for a gourmet cook. The outdoor garden provided a sense of calm that made you want to stay forever. Our host was very accommodating and helpful in suggesting what to see and where to eat. A true gem in Bordeaux centre .

The apartment is beautiful, quiet and extraordinarily comfortable. It is laid out and decorated beautifully, is spotlessly clean, and has a very modern kitchen and bathroom. We also really enjoyed the garden - looking at flowers and herbs during the day and relaxing at the garden table with wine in the evening. Desiree was an extremely welcoming and helpful host, making our visit special. She was also very generous with the food she provided to get us started. The apartment is a short walk to many shops, and a 20-minute walk to the waterfront. Stops for two bus routes to the center of Bordeaux, or the train station are also within a 2-minute walk. We appreciate that our damage deposit was returned very quickly. We would love to return here!

We had the pleasure of staying in a wonderful studio in Bordeaux which was walking distance from restaurants, shopping and attractions. The studio was very charming, modern and very comfortable. Desiree welcomed us and offered all amenitees and much more. We also had acces to a beautiful garden with sitting area. We would recommend this studio to all travellers.
