Loved the pool, the views, the layout of the house, being able to walk to the quiet beach and into town. Jane was super helpful and friendly too. A great place to stay.

Wonderful property. AC in every room. Lots of bathrooms. Great view. Walking distance to beach and shopping and restaurants. Loved the fact that there was soap/ detergents/ coffee basically for the whole stay. There was even food for the first night. Nice touch.

Lovely spacious family home with great views
We had a lovely stay in Porticcio at Jane's fantastic house. It is very spacious and easily accommodated 8 of us (2 families, each with 2 young children aged 5, 6, 7 and 7). The house feels like a real home rather than a rental property which made it far more appealing than most places. The rooms are nicely kitted out with very comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms (except one room which has a bathroom next door), and the air conditioning is very effective which was a godsend for the nights! The bathrooms are all nicely done and feel clean, whilst the kitchen has everything you need and plenty of the condiments and basics that annoying to have to buy at other rental properties.
Outside, the pool area is brilliant - the pool is a nice temperature for the kids to enjoy (maybe slightly warm for the dads but the kids and mums all thought it was perfect!) and the area around the pool provided plenty of space for some cricket (although the garden also provides ample scope for lost balls...!) as well as plenty of shaded areas for lounging.
Jane (the owner) is exceptionally responsive and provided all the information that we needed in advance, as well as responding to queries whilst we there. The pool cleaning system broke on one day and she immediately got the repair men out to fix it which was greatly appreciated.
Porticcio is great - easy walk down to the beach and the shops (5-10 mins at kids pace) where there are various restaurants and supermarkets (Carrefour is the obvious choice, but there is also a very expensive butchers and fishmonger if you want to splash out - for meat, it is actually better to go to the Spar which is further out of Porticcio as they have a proper butcher on site (compared to Carrefour which wasnt great for meat) selling meat at better prices). Porticcio also has a GP surgery that you can walk into without appointments (also 5 min walk from house) as we unfortunately had to use!
There are so many beaches to visit - our favourites were Ruppione and Plage d'Argent. Both have excellent restaurants on the beach for lunch. There are also lots of beach toys in the garage that we were able to borrow so no need to pack buckets and spades in your luggage!
All in all, a great place for a holiday that we would heartily recommend and which we hope to return to at some point.

Great Villa and perfect location
The 6 of us stayed for 2 weeks (and glad we did so) in the villa. Each bedroom has space and storage, and an attached bathroom, very much like newer houses in the US. The living room/dinning room area is very spacious and comfortable; and the kitchen is well equipped. Also of note for long stays: a washing machine in the garage, very useful.
The added points of the Villa: a nice out door/back yard, dinning/relaxing area (I really enjoyed taking my coffee in the morning sitting and watching the sea and the mountains) and the lower level with the pool and the cabana.
Location, location, location: so convenient. One can go to one of the 2 beaches just walking; or grocery shopping the same way. Also very close to some front beach restaurants/ice cream parlors. It is also well located if you want to explore the island: we drove to Calvi, Ajaccio, Bonifaccio, Bastelica , Filitosa, etc. A lot to do and see.
Jane, the owner, was very responsive and helpful, and ensured our stay was as we planned it. We will certainly consider going back for another summer vacation.

Gorgeous Villa near lovely seaside village in Corsica
My family of 7 just spent a wonderful week in this villa in Porticcio. Communication with the property owner Jane was welcoming, friendly and informative from the time of booking to the end of our holiday. There are so many highlights of this property ! The bedrooms were lovely with comfy beds, ceiling fans and air con, and each with an en suite or own bathroom
Outside we spent many hours chatting at the table whilst staring at the view of the garden, sea and mountains beyond, or lounging by the beautiful pool. There are plenty of spaces to relax and chill . The kitchen was very well equipped when we felt like cooking, or it was an easy 5-10 minute walk into the village to one of the many seaside restaurants . Ajaccio is 20 minute ferry ride away. All in all a perfect holiday in a fabulous villa, one which I’m very happy to recommend

Great Location and well equipped villa
This is the best equipped of the 9 villa properties we have rented in Europe since 2010. It has 4 excellent bathrooms, good a/c and is more than spacious internally. The pool area is excellent with good ares of shade and the property is most convenient for Ajaccio airport and Porticcio with a nearby supermarket, many restaurants and an excellent butcher , baker and fishmonger amongst other shops.
In particular we found the Alto Vista an excellent restaurant, Le Club great for coffee and bread and the "posh" butcher excellent if expensive. The fishmonger next to Carrefour is also excellent but v expensive.
We felt the property externally needs quite a bit of love and attention to bring it to the same standard as the interior with a wild garden that is rather too wild and attention needed to get the terrace etc into a tidy state but these are relatively small points and could be swiftly remedied if the owner chose to invest in some garden assistance. We also felt the cleaning regime was not clear and we certainly saw little if any of the property manager in the 2 weeks and we had to ask for sheets to be changed at the end of 1 week despite only one of the bedrooms being occupied for the first week!! We felt that a clear written statement of what the cleaner does and does not do in the 2 weeks would have been helpful.
Overall this is a very well appointed villa in a very good location with excellent beaches nearby and with a very straightforward connection to the airport; happy to recommend it and with some small attention to detail we felt the property could become an excellent choice...

Perfection in Porticcio
Fabulous villa, spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you could want. The pool is excellent, clean and heated, the outside spaces offer a choice of seating and dining areas.
Jane the owner is a pleasure to communicate with, as it is her own island home, and she goes to great lengths to ensure your stay is the best it could be.
The town and main beach are within 5 minutes' walk, as is the main Carrefour supermarket. A car isn't essential, but I would recommend one in order to explore other nearby beaches. We particularly enjoyed plage Ruppione, which had a few waves enough for playing in or gentle surfing.
The boat navette to Ajaccio is a must, on which you may see dolphins, it's the easy way to visit the town.

Great, well equipped house with beautiful view, perfect for two families. Lovely pool.
We were 4 adults and 4 children, aged 9-12 and have really enjoyed a week in this lovely villa with ample space both indoor and outdoor. The house is within walking distance from shops, a beach and restaurants which is very convenient. However, most days we drove 15-20 minutes to find better beaches ( not difficult!). We enjoyed dinner out in Porticcio a couple of nights and also enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen ( and barbecue). The owner is very helpful and service minded and for us who do not speak French it was very convenient with a British owner. The house was clean and nice, but the outdoor area could perhaps have benefitted from a bit more attention. A couple of nights there was quite load music and laser shows from local night clubs, which may disturb some people, but we were OK with it and it never disturbed any sleep. All in all, very happy with the stay!

Perfect for an extended family
Three generations able to enjoy time together and separately in homely surroundings. Plenty of things to do for all ages combined with relaxation and the ideal environment for water babies like our grandchildren. Wonderful support and communication from the owner and the local manager, prompt but never intrusive.

Spacious, well equipped and high quality villa
This was a lovely property maintained and equipped to a very high standard and in an excellent location, with beach, restaurants, bars and shops within very close proximity. The views from the outdoor dining area are absolutely stunning. We were 3 generations - grand parents, parents and 3 children (aged 7, 10 and 13) and everyone had a wonderful time. Majority of the holiday was spent relaxing and swimming in the lovely pool or in the sea although we did have a few excursions including a great day out in the woods doing "parcours" (tree rope climbing). As a keen cyclist I took my own bike and spent most mornings cycling for a couple of hours. As I found out Corsica is very mountainous - as soon as you turn inland the road goes upwards! Hence a good idea to get out early before it gets too hot (which it did very quickly).
The local town Porticcio was lively and could get quite busy at times but never to the levels of the French riviera in August for example.
The owner, Jane was extremely helpful and attentive both before and during the holiday especially when we had a small issue with the swimming pool - this was fixed very quickly.
Overall I can highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a high quality, spacious place close to many amenities.

wonderful property, better than website
The property is on a private estate, requiring a code to open doors to estate and thus feels it is secure. Most of the villas have been completed, including the ones on either side of our villa. Shrubs have been grown to ensure privacy from the other properties.
The view from the back of the villa is amazing, looking over the bay of Ajaccio.
The garden is divided into several layers. The swimming pool is at the bottom with sunloungers and a gazebo and barbecue.
Thje upper layer has a patio leading from the villa with a gazebo outside one bedroom so people can be by the pool and others at the top.
The villa is designed for 8 people with a table on the upper terrace to ensure there is enough seating for lunch and dinner with outstanding views. There is adequate shading over the table..
Inside the villa has air conditioning, which was not used because the high ceilings which kept the property cool.
There are 4 bedrooms 3 are on suite. The beds were comfortable and we all had a good nights sleep.
The kitchen shows that the owner is keen on cooking, with many cook books, It was a delight not to have the need to buy essentials such as salt and garlic and even herbs. There are many pots and pans, plates and plenty of cutlery available- like being in someones home.
One one evening there was some rain and we watched a DVD in a large room which was a lounge and dining room with enough sofas for 8 people.. Needless to say there was also free internet connection.
The owner arranged for Brigitte to greet us with a welcome pack so we did not have to go to the supermarket before lunch. She was brilliant and came again to ensure all was well. She ensured the villa was well cleaned.
The pool was heated and the only point to make was that it was 28C. This enabled us to swim and play in the pool in the evening. There was an electric cover resulting in an insect free pool the next day
We also had the use of cycles and a table tennis table for the kids which we used on the patio.
Can I go on the superlatives. We hope to come back next year, although see there have been some early bookings

Wish we had the time to stay longer
Our third annual visit and it gets more comfortable and relaxing each time. Even our 6 year old granddaughter was trying to persuade us that she needed another week here. It is a home rather than an impersonal holiday let which helps you to settle; we even had a discussion over a lunch about what day it actually was! If annual leave allowances were greater and the adults' schedules could be co-ordinated, it would be hard to resist a longer break. Thank you Jane & Brigitte for your usual standard of hospitality and care.

Classy, well-stocked villa in beautiful location
The contact with owner Jane & advice about travel before we even got there was invaluable. Getting there was painfree as Adjaccio airport is 15 mins away - we were met by Brigette (housekeeper for Jane). Her advice & recommendations throughout our stay were also really helpful especially when hiring a car.
The town had everything in terms of food, iea lovely fruit & veg shop and places to buy fresh bread, meat and fish as well as the large supermarket (Carrefour). We tried two local restaurants which were good and also went for lunch down the road at Le (very nice indeed).
The villa itself has substantial sea and mountain views. It is close to the town - within a few minutes walk. It is in a secure gated area with a code. There is no shortage of places to sit inside and out and plenty of room to spreadout. The top iron table is lovely for meals in the evening.
Near the pool is a shaded seated area where we spent most of our time. The pool area is superb and has lovely tiling - it is heated to >30 degrees with a jacuzzi end and there were pool toys and inflatables although we took our own. There is very little maintenance besides shutting the pool cover at night which is a safety/legal requirement.
The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of plates and cooking dishes, pans etc. The welcome pack of tea milk eggs etc was very useful. The main living room is vast and has plenty of space to sit and a tv area with lots of DVDs for every taste. There is also a bookshelf with an interesting selection of novels and books on Corsica and plenty of local maps too.
Each bedroom is tasefully decorated and most have en suites. The master bedroom has a large wetroom with bath and shower. Towels are good quality, the showers are superb. Hot water is always available.
In the garage are some bikes which are available for use but we didn't get chance. We didn't need to use the washer either but it is in there.
Corsica is a lovely place to visit with hot temperatures on the coast and snow on the mountains. We enjoyed temperatures of mid to high 20s at the end of May, early June. (NB most people only speak French).
We wanted to get up in the mountains and see more of the coast north (Iles de Sanguines) & south so we hired a car which worked out well. It is well worth going up into the hills & we went to the Cascades des Anglais on the GR20. We also called into the Tortoise Sanctuary on the way back and we had our own tortoise that wandered into the garden.

Superb property for safe family holiday
Superbly maintained property with beautiful views of coast and mountains. Easily accessed from airport and within walking distance of small coastal town with lively restaurants and bars and good food shopping facilities. Pool is a good size and well maintained with safety cover. Rooms are all attractive and spacious with air-con throughout. Lovely garden with BBQ and gazebos for shade. Thoroughly recommend for family holiday

A beautiful family home .
The villa we stayed in was very clean and spacious ,each bedroom was very comfortable and had a lovely bathroom and shower with masses of hot water. The villa had lots of equipment we could use from bikes and table tennis table to docking stations for i phones. The great thing about the kitchen was that it had lots of utensils we could use and was stocked with basic things such as salt and pepper, herbs and cooking oil that we could use and replace . Brigitte was very helpful when we arrived and also when we had a minor problem after the thunder storm . The village had some good shops and a big supermarket , a lovely clean beach that had lots of activities for water sports. We also took the ferry over to Ajaccio and had a wander around the town and visited the Cathedral and Nelsons house.

Two families with young children had a thoroughly enjoyable time at this villa. A truly enchanting place with stunning views of the sea and mountain. Lots of outside space and a swimming pool which has a handy safety cover and alarm. Fantastic to be able to walk to the lovely beaches and restaurants as well. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spacious villa, a real home from home. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.
Stunningly beautiful villa with amazing views of the sea and mountains, equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a lovely relaxing time with our three teenage boys as there was plenty for them to do - table tennis, pool, water sports and swimming at the beach. The villa is very clean and all the beds were super comfortable with plenty of areas to relax in either the sun or shade.
The owner goes to great lengths to make sure you enjoy your stay and answer any questions. I can't recommend this villa highly enough if you want a relaxing villa/beach based holiday with guaranteed gorgeous weather!

Excellent villa with wonderful view!
This villa was ideal for our three-generation party of eight, including two children aged six and nine. We were immediately impressed by the size of the house and gardens and by the view of Ajaccio bay, Porticcio beach and the surrounding mountains, which is spectacular both at day and night. Although all is clearly described in Jane’s notes, the villa and furnishing was even better than we expected. We appreciated the security of being in a gated community of similar properties. The main living room is huge with a large dining table and two comfortable seating areas, glazed doors along its length leading onto the very large boarded deck outside where we had our evening meals. The adjacent kitchen is extremely well equipped and we appreciated being able to use certain items stored in the adjoining garage, including bicycles and beach equipment. There are several locations around the garden with seating, including two elegant gazebos, one at the villa level and one by the pool. There is comfortable seating in these and elsewhere in the garden including plenty of loungers. Indoor games and DVDs were well received, particularly by the children, and it was a real bonus that they could also watch them in their bedroom. Although we were there for the first two weeks of August in hot weather, the interior of the villa stayed cool and we hardly used the air conditioning. All the living and sleeping areas have ceiling fans as well as air conditioning. The resort was busy and when on the terrace there was some noise from the beach area on festival evenings - as well as an excellent view of the firework display - but noise was not intrusive when inside the villa.
The small, sandy beach about 5 minutes walk away is fine for confident swimmers and rocky in parts, suitable for snorkelling. The main Porticcio beach, about 10 minutes walk from the villa, is well equipped with watersports, a designated swimming area, and at one end a row of sheltered open-air restaurants. The large supermarket and other shops are close to the main beach, so there is really no need for a car, but car hire is available in the town and was used by four of our party for a day out to Bonifacio.
We had an excellent family holiday here. The villa had everything we needed. The layout and interior design has been brilliantly thought out by Jane and her communication with us was clear and welcoming. We recommend the villa without reservation!

We loved our stay. The proximity of the town, beaches and shops meant we only used the car to stock up on heavier items. A brilliant time had by six teenagers and two now very relaxed adults! I'd highly recommend stating here. Jane was so helpful in sending out lots of information before our stay which made things really easy once we were there. A brilliant time which I wish could've been longer!

I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. It was by far the best villa we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect, the villa itself was fitted out to a very high standard. The owner's attention to detail was fantastic. All the separate seating areas gave so many options for relaxing, especially with three generations staying together. The kitchen was SO well equipped and the fact that all oils/spices/tea/coffee and cleaning materials were left for the guests was a lovely touch. We have never had that before, and it made things so much easier. The resort was perfect, not too busy but with lots of shops and restaurants and the ferry to Ajaccio was great. Jane the owner went out of her way to make sure we had everything we might need, as I was travelling with my disabled mother. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended

Had a wonderful holiday with 3 generations including 2 very small children. I would endorse everything that others have described. Villa has everything and outside space brilliant. Lovely pool and plenty of sunny or shaded areas to sit in at all times of the day. Close enough to airport to make transfer really easy (bonus with little ones) yet not intrusive. Local restaurants excellent. We have all fallen in love with Corsica and can't wait to return.

Jane is an excellent host--reliable, responsive, extremely accommodating, and welcoming. The house was clean and well-maintained, and it was better in person than in the photos. The house is relatively new, the outdoor space, views, and heated pool are all exquisite, excellent outdoor furniture, the kitchen and bathrooms are nice--the master bath in particular is large and beautiful, with bathtub and separate rain shower with multiple shower heads, and beautiful tiles. The house is fully stocked with amenities (including cribs, toys, games, and movies for the kids, plenty of towels, kitchen staples, etc...), and it is perfect for anyone traveling with young children. We stayed with our two kids (ages 2 and 5), and it was very comfortable, relaxing, and highly enjoyable for us. The only downside was the multi-unit dwelling that is currently being built next door--people often watched us using our pool from their balconies, which we felt compromised our otherwise very private and quiet villa experience. But we viewed that as a very minor nuisance, and it would never deter us from staying here again (or recommending it to our other friends with kids who want to visit Corsica)! Location is great, but I would recommend anyone traveling to Corsica to rent a car.

Our second stay in this excellent villa. We arrived mid morning Sunday and by evening we felt we had been there for days. Three generations of family can enjoy time together but still have space when they want it. The support from the owner, Jane, from booking to arrival back home is constant but never intrusive. The local manager Brigitte is amazing, especially if you need any assistance during your stay, an efficient, friendly whirlwind but practice your French! We wish we could manage to stay here several times a year but work commitments prevent that, so we just look forward to the time we can have and hope to repeat the experience whenever possible.

We decided to drive to corsica getting the overnight ferry from toulon arriving early on sunday morning (the villa is usually rented sun-sun to tie in with easyet flights from london-ajjacio). The owner Jane, and Brigitte could not have been more accommodating allowing us to drop off bags & bikes during the clean.
The villa itself looks even better that it does in the photos - linen was updated for example- and none of the building works elsewhere on the estate were visible from the villa or caused any problem. Villa accommodated 9 of us easily with extra single bed in the large master bedroom. Rooms and bathrooms were spotless and everything worked including wi-fi and near-silent aircon, and the kitchen contained everything one could need with plentiful supplies of crockery & cutlery and an espresso machine. The cupboards were well stocked with the basics - oil, rice pasta etc. The view while chopping vegetables was unforgettable!
Most days were spent sitting at the table on the terrace admiring the view, moving from one meal to another with forays down to the pool to cool off in between games of table tennis. The artificial grass round the pool is great meaning no mud, leaves or grass in the pool as well as being soft underfoot. There are some bikes at the villa and once down the drive out of the estate the coast road north or south is relatively flat. Best beaches are south particularly Plage D'Argent (30-40 mins cycle, 20 min drive). No problem with traffic or parking (free!) even in August as there are so many beautiful beaches (unlike August in the south of France where driving 5 miles can take all day).
The local sandy beach at porticcio with bars, restaurants and watersports is an easy 10 min walk as are the supermarket, bakery and what is likely to be the best fishmongers in the world.
Ajaccio (across the bay by boat) calanques and canyoning within easy reach as is more arduous cycling in the hills for the brave.
Easily enough to fill two weeks here - we were sorry leave the villa and Corsica- but we will return!

The villa was in a superb location with views looking across the bay to the distant mountains. Close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Very well maintained villa and pool and lovely gardens - plenty of space for everyone. The owner was very good at keeping in touch throughout the booking and provided plenty of information and readily answered any questions. I certainly hope to be able to go there again.
