Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great, or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can have some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop off a baby alligator off every couple years, stats with it a couple days then leaves. Baby tends to be about 3’ to max 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can still only eat max size bullfrogs, kind of fun to watch, but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And after 8 years we see this is correct.

It was a bit old, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Nice property. Manager wonderful, met needs, helpful, friendly and made the place a community feel. Cabin well stocked, more than other places. Close to the town which was good. Didn't realize that it would be fairly near the road and cabins close together but not a problem sleeping or sitting on the deck. Friendliness would make me go back again!!

We enjoyed and loved our stay at this lake front cabin! We enjoy the lake, having breakfast, lunch and dinner outside and enjoyed playing outdoors. Cabin is very equipped with everything needed. Bernadette was super informative, sweet and the best host! It was my son’s 5th birthday and she gave him a present! That melted our heart and he was super happy. Not just that, on Easter day they placed golden eggs in front of our cabin. We definitely be back to stay here! 🥰❤️

The cabin was clean and was equipped with everything we needed. Besides the water/lake in front of the cabin being dried up (which was out by of their control), we loved it and will go back

Property managers were friendly and easy to communicate with. Everything for staying comfortable was accessible and available. The lake level is extremely low, but we were informed of that beforehand. The boat docks could have a little more TLC with cleaning of spider webs. All in all it was a great place to relax and stay.

We booked this cabin on a whim and had a great time! Great views! Great meeting other families on the well established site. Clean and easy access to the water. Very responsive host. Only thing I could suggest is pack your own ziplocks or tin foil. Will be back.

RELAXING GETAWAY
Rick and Bernadette, the owners are very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The cabin was dated, but clean and well stocked. The master bed was comfortable and the AC was great. Overall, my husband and I had a very relaxing time. If you want some entertainment, 25 miles away there's a Casino. We would visit again. Steve & Linda B.

Perfect getaway
The cabin was so cute and right by the lake. The host were so sweet and informative greeted us on our arrival and explained everything we had questions about. Our family had the best time the kids never left the water all weekend. Also they had everything you needed to make meals. We can’t wait to come back

Beautiful view, Excellent customer service
We had a great time of "get away" at B and R properties in Onalaska. The view of the Lake Livingston is great at day AND night. Our hosts were assertive in welcoming us and asking what our preferences were and offering help immediately upon requesting. They made things easy with regards to communication and accessibility and the cleanliness of our cabin. I wish we could have stayed longer. Plus, the amenities in the cabin and supplies are added detail, and the guide book. They take pride in their property and in ensuring guests have a great stay.

It was very nice

Crowded and noisy
We were looking for a quit getaway location to sit and look at the lake and the wildlife. This location was crowded and near a noisy highway, so was not what we imagined a woodsy, lake retreat would be.

It’s a nice place but it’s by a high traffic road and it was noisy. Also it’s not a good fishing spot. Very shallow water even as we went out a few yards in a row boat.
